Trapped by Him

Chapter 126

Ch. 124 / 398 Feb 22, 2026

Unlike Gloria, who was filled with worry during the movie, Derrick was very cheerful. He held Gloria's hand and headed to the parking lot. Derrick opened the door to the driver's side after Gloria sat in the passenger seat.

"Wait a minute," Gloria suddenly said.

Derrick tilted his head and asked with a puzzled face, "Do you want to go shopping?"

Derrick immediately thought about whether she wanted to buy something. The more considerate he was, the more unhappy Gloria felt.

Derrick urged her again, "What do you want? It's the weekend. We have plenty of time."

"No," She gritted her teeth and said with a determined look, "Mr. Fisher, we're..."

She was about to say something when Derrick suddenly frowned. He said to Gloria, "Wait a minute. Someone mind links me."

Then, Derrick picked up the mind link request. A familiar and old voice sounded in his mind.

"Derrick, return to the wolf pack now."

Derrick replied with dissatisfaction, "Grandfather, I'm busy now."

"Stop whatever you're doing and go home immediately." After Curtis finished speaking, he immediately cut off the mind link.

Derrick frowned.

Gloria kept observing Derrick's expression. Derrick seemed to be in trouble. She said, "Mr. Fisher, do you have something urgent to do? Then I can go back by myself."

Gloria sighed in her heart. It seemed that she wouldn't be able to explain everything to him today.

"I'll take you back to the dormitory." Derrick grabbed Gloria's arm and stopped her from opening the car door. He said, "It won't take much time. And it's on my way too."

"Alright. Mr. Fisher, thank you for the meal and the movie today," Gloria said politely.

Derrick shot a dissatisfied glance at Gloria and said, "Do you have to be so polite? I've said it a few times. Calling me Mr. Fisher feels strange."

Derrick stepped on the accelerator and drove to Gloria's dormitory.

"It's here. Take care." Derrick thought for a moment and then said to Gloria, who had gotten out of the car, "Gloria, I hope that one day, you can stop calling me Mr. Fisher."

Gloria paused for a moment and then said to Derrick with a smile, "I'm calling you Mr. Fisher to show my respect. Mr. Fisher, please leave. I think you have something urgent to attend to."

She left after saying so, not giving Derrick any time to speak.

A trace of dejection flashed across Derrick's face. But he managed to perk up. He looked in the direction where Gloria disappeared, and his eyes were filled with determination once again. He believed that sooner or later, Gloria's heart would open for him.

Then, he stepped on the accelerator. The sports car roared out, heading straight for the Blood Moon Pack.

When he returned to his home in the pack, he saw Curtis looking at him with a serious expression.

"Grandpa." No matter how impudent Derrick was outside, he had to be respectful in front of Curtis.

Curtis reached out his hand. The old butler behind him immediately placed a document bag in his hand.

Curtis then threw the document bag in front of Derrick and said, "Take a look. How much has the Fisher Group lost recently?"

Derrick quietly bent down to pick up the bag. He opened it and quickly browsed through the documents. The more he looked, the more serious his expression became. The document bag was thrown back onto the table.

Derrick said, "What's going on?"

The Fisher Group was established by the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack. The company's profit could be used for the maintenance of the wolf pack.

A playboy though he was, Derrick still had the ability.

"You still have the nerve to ask me what happened?" Curtis snorted coldly. He forcefully pointed at Derrick. "Think about it carefully. Who did you offend recently? Who has the power to force our Fisher Group into a strait in just half a month?"

"Patrick!" Derrick gritted his teeth as he blurted out the name.

Curtis immediately said, "Leave that woman."

Derrick heard Curtis' cold order. Suddenly, Derrick narrowed his eyes and asked Curtis, "You've checked on me?"

Curtis snorted coldly. "You provoked such a powerful opponent. Shouldn't I figure out what was going on? The losses of the Fisher Group can be made up. But if it affects the development of the Blood Moon Pack, can you live up to our expectations?"

"Grandpa, you must be afraid. No wonder it is said among the werewolves in Gabbs that the Blood Moon Pack has been inferior to the Black Thorn Pack over the years."

Before Derrick could finish his words, Curtis grabbed the stick beside him and threw it at Derrick. Curtis shouted, "Shut up!"

Curtis was a coward inside. He could only glare at Derrick.

Curtis had always adored Derrick. Derrick had been raised as the next Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack since he was young. He was smart and extremely good at combat. Therefore, Curtis never thought that Derrick would provoke such a strong enemy and bring disaster to the Blood Moon Pack.

As for the Blood Moon Pack being inferior to the Black Thorn Pack, this was almost like a thorn in Curtis' heart.

Derrick changed his usual mischievous smile into a stubborn look. He did not dodge the stick and let Curtis hit him over and over again.

The butler said, "Mr. Fisher, please calm down."

Curtis snorted and said again, "You are not allowed to see this woman again."

Derrick suddenly clenched his fists. He glared at Curtis and said, "I won't do what you said!"

"Say that again!" Curtis' anger that had just subsided surged again. He shouted, "Derrick, say it again!"

"I'll never give up on her!" Derrick said.

"The stick!" Curtis was furious. He glared at the butler and reached out his hand. "Give me my walking stick!"

Curtis gasped hard. He grabbed the walking stick from the butler's hand and smashed it on Derrick's back.

It left a bloody bruise mark on Derrick's arm.

Curtis raised the walking stick and smashed it down. Derrick groaned, but he still looked determined. He refused to admit defeat.
