The heater inside the car is at full blast but I'm still freezing. Zeus seemed to realize my situation and pulled me to his side. I didn't hesitate to push my body closer to him and I could feel the cold slowly go away.
I forgot that this rat would join us. If it wasn't for the Queen, I would not have let this girl join us.
Zeus clears his throat and breaks the silence inside the car. Tyler looked at me and Candice. I really don't like her being here right now, but I can't say no to the queen.
"Kath, you need to calm down and relax," Zeus said, drawing circles on my back, it's his way to make me relax and it works on me. This girl is obviously flirting with my mate. Candice keeps smiling at him and staring at his body in front of me.
Candice really doesn't have self-control. I might end up throwing her out of the car.
Ever since I have known that Zeus is my mate. I became more possessive of him. I hate it when girls gawk at him, even when I'm around.
"If she keeps flirting with you, I will throw her out of this car," I said, whispering in his ears, though I knew that she could hear me. He pulled me again and put me on his lap. I protested because I was embarrassed, but he ignored me.
I could not wait until I got into my father’s pack. Just three hours and I will see them again.
"It's a three-long hour drive. Take a nap, Kath." He said.
I closed my eyes and leaned more towards his chest. I love this scent of him. It makes me calm and secure.

-Zeus Point of View –
I stare at my mate while she’s sleeping in my arms.
"Zeus, what is her problem with me?" Candice.
"I think you know the answer, Candice," I said, not looking at her.
"I'm still your friend, and that girl was a hypocrite. Get you away from me." She said.
My wolf doesn't like what she just said.
"Save that nasty mouth of yours, Candice, we may be friends, but still, she’s my mate. She doesn't feel comfortable around you because you’re my ex, so I was hoping you could understand and avoid the unnecessary problems for us. We have just started our relationship. I don't want it to be ruined because of my past. And she will be coronated as the Queen of the werewolves. Do not disrespect her in front of me or in public. I will not hesitate to kill you if needed." I said, now looking into her eyes. I want her to feel how serious I am.
"Zeus, Candice, both of you need to calm down. This will not help the situation, plus, we don't want to wake up Kath. She still needs to rest," Tyler said.
"Candice, just behave yourself," I said, with a half-warning tone.
She just looked away.

We reached the Omnirous pack just in time. Ramus and Sammuel welcomed us and gave us our room. Katharina goes straight to her room to fix herself while I'm here stuck with Tyler, Candice, Ramus, Sam, and some of my fighters.
"So, King Zeus, how's my daughter with you? Did you too... you know, can I expect grand pups in a couple of months?" Alpha Ramus.
I almost choked, thinking of the answer to his questions. "I think Kath and I are not yet ready for pups, I haven't even marked her yet. She needs to be coronated first before we can do that."
"Dad, I think that question is too personal," said Sam.
"Why is it so personal? That's my daughter. And you, Sam, when will you and Charm give me a grand pup?" Ramus.
Thanks to Sam, the question turned to him. I don't want to pressure Kath on that, we are both young and still have a lot of things to do. We need to find the person behind the attacks before we talk about the heir.

- Katharina Point of View –
I left Zeus and the others downstairs. I want to fix myself. This is the first time Dad has organized a birthday party for me for the past six years. I want to look my best. After all, this pack used to ignore me because of the past.
I was preparing myself for my birthday until I noticed a bouquet of red flowers with a note on my table.
You look very lovely in that dress. I can't wait to rip that off and see what treasure is behind it. Enjoy your night Katharina. See you soon.
I think I lost a lot of blood just reading this note. How come he sees me? I didn't smell him and it crept the hell out of me, thinking that someone was stalking me. I kept the note on my table. My pack and my mate are here, nothing's going to happen to me. But I don't know if I should report it to my mate and dad.
I looked at myself once more in the mirror before I left my room. My mate is waiting for me downstairs wearing a plain V-neck t-shirt and black jeans with black boots. He looked like a model waiting to show himself in the crowd. Compared to me, I was wearing a baby blue dress that came over half my legs. We are so simple yet so great together. He took my hand and we walked together while holding our hands. We proceeded to the back garden where my birthday would be held.
I saw my friends and I waved to them. I pointed them to Zeus and whispered that they are my close friends.
"Oh my gosh, Kath! We miss you!!!" Lorry said. I hugged her, then Andrew and Mathew.
I heard Zeus growl but I ignored him.
"Zeus!" I said in a warning tone. "These are my best friends. This is Lorry and the twins, Andrew and Mathew." I said while introducing each one of them.
"It's nice to meet you, your Majesty." Said Lorry, followed by Andrew and Mathew.
"Pleasure meeting you all," Zeus said to them, but still eyeing the twins.
'Stop staring at them like that, Zeus. The twins are my friends and I see them as my baby brothers. They are two years younger than me.'
' They are unmated males. You can't blame my wolf for being protective.'
'I'm all yours.'
That seems to work for him. His eyes turned soft and he looked at me.
"Hello everyone." My dad said he was on the stage giving a speech. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being here, and to send my message to my daughter. Katharina." He said, looking into my eyes. "Darling, I want to say sorry for everything I’ve done for the past few years since Kalisha; your mother died. I was torn up about the loss of my mate and blame you for that. I realized I was wrong. If your mother's watching right now, for sure she will kill me, but I know it's not too late Kath. I love you and you will always be my baby kitten. It was sad that I only realized that now and regret the past six years that I mistreated you. Now that you have found your mate, you will be protected. I hide your existence from the other packs, knowing that they might do something just to mate with you. You're a moon blessed wolf. You are the second of our kind that was born with an Alpha bloodline. I pray to the moon goddess that she protects you all the time. Once again, happy birthday Kath." Dad said almost with a teary eye.
I couldn't help myself. I ran to the stage and hugged him. I miss my daddy so much. So many years we missed together. I never hated him nor am mad at him. Even though he almost killed me in that whipping, I will still love him for the rest of my life.
"Daddy, I love you too," I said to him.
"Come on you two, it's Katharina's birthday, stop crying and let's have some fun," Sam shouted from the crowd. I smiled at him and looked at the girl beside her.
I went right straight to him and hugged him too.
"Kath, I want you to meet Charm, my mate." He said, introducing me to her beautiful sweet mate. I look at her and I can see how she looks at my brother with admiration, passion, and love.
"Hi Charm, it's an honor to meet you," I said.
"The pleasure is mine. Sam told me a lot of things about you." She said.
"Really? I just hope he didn't corrupt your mind with false information," I said, and we both laughed.
We talk for a little bit more until Zeus clears his throat. My gosh, I forgot my mate!! I said to myself.
I turned and saw him holding a white flower for me.
"Hey, mate," I said, excusing myself from Sam and Charm.
"You forgot me, huh?" He asked, with hurtful looks on his face.
"No, of course not," I said, lying to him.
"You're a bad liar babe," he said.
He took out a small box and gave it to me.
"What is this?" I asked, surprised. I slowly opened the box and I saw a half-crescent moon necklace inside of it.
"Do you like it?" He asks.
"No," I said.
He looked shocked and he started to look sad when I held his hand.
"If you don't want it, then I'll buy you something else." Zeus.
I took my hand in his cheeks and pinched it. "I don't like it, because I love it," I said, kissing him on the lips.
He kissed me back until we ran out of breath. We look into each other's eyes and I know right now that he is my happiness in this world. I want to thank the Moon Goddess for giving me such a great man.
He put the necklace on my neck and I touched the delicate piece on my neck and I was mesmerized by the beauty of it.
I pulled away from him and looked at the others. They are staring at us and I feel embarrassed all of a sudden.
"I'll get us something to drink," I said to him. "Hey, Tyler! Candice! Come and join us." Tyler smiled at me while Candice looked shocked at my invitation. I think I need to accept her because she was part of Zeus' life and I don't want her to be the reason for our fight.
"Finally, Kath, you give us some attention," Tyler said.
"Aww, I pity you, Tyler, for wanting my attention," I said before bursting into laughter. "I will leave you guys here. My father got a bottle of champagne inside. I'm going to get it." I said.
"Do you want me to come with you?" Zeus.
"No, I'll be fine. Just wait for me here." I said.
I ran inside the packhouse and went straight to my dad's office. He got the best wine and champagne in his office for a special occasion. I almost got what I needed when I heard a laugh in the back of me.
"You look so happy Kath, I think it's enough. Happy birthday." Before I can see his face, he holds my arm and injects me with something that makes me dizzy. I held onto him before darkness consumed me.
No!!! Zeus!!! I shouted in my mind.
