Kath is in the packed clinic. She lost a lot of blood, which makes her weak. I leave her with Tyler and his mate Lily to look after her. I need to clean myself first.
I talked to my mother a while ago but she blocked me in her head. Does she really let Markus mark her just like that? And my father, where is he? Does he just disappear after he finds his mate? What kind of family is this?
I was on my way to my office when she arrived.
"Mom, why did you let that man mark you? What are we now? Do you still care that I'm your son?" I asked.
"Your Dad broke the bond, he is one of the royals, it’s in your blood to choose your own mate. Markus marks me without my consent and I know that's irresponsible of him. He did that because I'm an unclaimed wolf again. His wolf will panic if I leave unmated again. Please do not think that I will abandon you just like what your dad did to us after he found his mate. I will stay until the coronation, then I will live with Markus. I will still be here and I can visit you anytime. Please forgive him and let's start over again. I don't want to choose between you two because I love both of you," she explained.
I look at my mother. This is the first time she pleaded and it was because of her mate. I understand now how it feels to be away from your mate. I can't stop her from leaving. I also want her to be happy.
"Is that what you really want? Can you promise me that you will tell me if Markus hurt you?"
"Don't worry about me, Son. Markus is not that kind of person. He was blinded by anger and loss. I promise you, I will tell you right away if he hurts me, even if I'm sure that he will not do that." She said.
"Then, I let you go. Don't forget me and visit me from time to time." I said.
She smiled at me and held my face. "Now I see that you're a grown man now, you can take care of all of this on your own. You don't need me anymore," she said.
"Don't say that, Mom. I need you, always."
"What happened to you? You're not my son! What did you do to him?"
"Mom, it's not funny."
"Someday, when you become a parent, you will understand how I feel right now."
She's such a kind, lovely, and wonderful Mom. I want her to be happy again, I want her to enjoy her life with her true mate. I want what is best for her, even if it means that I will not see her here in the palace. Soon I will build my own family and I swear that my mate will be happy for the rest of her life.
"When will I see him?" I asked. I needed to talk to him first and give him a blow and uppercut for letting his brother hurt my mate.
"I know you, Zeus, if you're going to hurt my mate I will not let him set his foot here." She said, threatening me.
"Mom, you know I need to talk to him because of you. Don't be such a protective mate here. I'm still your son," I said.
"But he is my mate now, he marked me and I'm his. Don't talk to him like that, he doesn't know what to do. Being away from me for that long makes him who he is now. He doesn't mean all of this. He was hurt." She said, trying to make me understand their situation.
"Okay, Mom! Calm down. I need to talk to him first. If he can make it tomorrow, then let me know." I said.
"Don't worry, he will be here on the ceremony day. He would not miss it." She said.
"Okay, let me know about his arrival. Oh and Mom, I don't mind having a baby brother or sister." I said before leaving her in my office. I almost laughed at her expression. It's still possible for her to have a baby, even at her age, she can still bear a child. The Moon Goddess might bless them one soon.
Two problems are already solved, all I need to do now is wait for her to wake up before the blue moon show.
'Zeus, what are we going to do with the rogues that we captured and some of the Alurious pack members who attacked us?' Tyler
'I will deal with them after Kath wakes up. I want her to have the final decision of those bastard," I said.
"How about the rogues that help us, the ones who want to be in the Ramus pack?" asked Tyler.
"Send them to Ramus, he knows what to do with them. He promised to make them part of their pack. They help us also and they are Kath's friends," I said.
"About my mate can she----"
I cut him. "Tyler, she can stay with us. She's your mate, no need to bother about her being a rogue. She's also Kath's friend," I said.
"Thank you, Zeus," Tyler said before we ended our conversation.
Honestly, I want him to be with his mate so that he will not flirt with Kath. I don't like their closeness. If he continues to stick with my mate, I will kick his ass.
I went back to my mate, who was still sleeping. I promise myself that I will not let anyone hurt her, even myself. She suffered a lot because of me and Duren. I will not let anyone take her away from me. From now on, I will not let her out of my sight twenty-four seven.
I sat beside her and looked at her face. She looks bad because of the bruises on her body. Suddenly, she slowly opened her eyes and looked around.
She looks confused and does not know what is going on. I could see how scared and uneasy she was until she saw me.
"Where am I?" Kath.
