The next morning, before we prepared for the coronation, Zeus took me to the dungeon to give sentences to the wolves who they captured, that, kidnapped me. I saw Candice and Loui tied up on the chair full of bruises.
" Stop staring and kill us already," Loui said.
"Kill you? That's easy. You will stay here for the rest of your life. No one will visit them here and won't give them food. Let them starve." I'm done being nice to these two. They killed innocent people because of their selfishness. I want them to feel how hard it is to stay alive.
"Is that all, your Majesty?"
Lily asked. She's here with us as well as Tyler, because they are the Betas of the Palace.
"Do you have something in mind?"
"We can slowly torture them too."
"Zeus, please help me. I don't want to die like this." Candice pleaded.
"Candice, it is not my choice. You almost killed my mate. She will decide about your punishment."
"We are friends. How can you do this to me?"
"Seriously, Candice? You're using that now when I am the one who told you before that you shouldn't follow Loui's idea because you're my mate's friend."
"I was blinded by jealousy."
"That will kill you too," I said before turning away.
They followed me.
I don't want to do it, but if I am soft-hearted, I will not be the Queen this palace needed.
I went back to my room and prepared for the coronation.
The day has come for our vows. Though it is not a blue moon today, Zeus pushed it to happen.
Everybody's busy preparing for the event. My father and brother with the pack had already arrived, as well as the others. They are now guarding my door and the whole kingdom to avoid being kidnapped again. Actually, I’m so tired of it. I swear I’m freaking tired of being kidnapped over and over again. I feel weak and stupid. After winning against a strong fighter, I was kidnapped two times.
Tyler and Sam are guarding my door. Zeus is getting paranoid about this day. He doesn’t want to leave my side, but my brother assures him that nothing will happen to me again.
Lily and Ele are helping me with my dress and make-up. I love the silver gown that they picked for me since I just got one day to prepare.
"Are you excited?" Lily asked.
"Yes and also nervous," I answered.
"I'm sure you are. This is a big celebration for all of us," Lily said.
I smiled at her. I wish my mom had been there. I know that she will be the one who will help me to prepare.
A knock on my door pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Can I talk to my daughter for a while?" Dad said.
Lily, look at me and leave us alone.
Dad walks toward me and sits beside me on the bed.
"Look at you," he said while caressing my cheeks, "you're a grown woman now. I wish I could turn back the time and make my mistakes right. Katharina, I'm so sorry for the pain I caused you. I am your father. I am the one who was supposed to protect you but I failed, I hurt you. I know your mom will hate me for that." He said, hugging me tightly while tears started to flow down his cheeks.
Never in my whole entire life had I thought this time would come. Seeing my father once again vulnerable and hurt. I am actually not blaming him for anything. If it wasn't for him having met my mate, I would not be a strong girl.
"Dad, don't say that. Mom will always love you, no matter what you've done. You do things right now and I'm sure she's happy up there, by the Moon Goddess' side," I said.
He pulled away and gave me a box.
"I want you to have this," he said while I was opening the box. I have a black diamond necklace. "That's your mother's necklace, given by her parents too. She told me that she wants you to wear this on your wedding day", Dad said.
"Dad, it's beautiful," I said.
He took it from my arm and put it on my neck. It's so beautiful that I can't even take my eyes off it.
"I love you baby, and I'm sorry." Dad.
"I love you too, Dad, and I forgave you a long time ago," I said.
"Let's go now. It's already time, we don't want the future Queen to be late for her own wedding vows." Dad said and I chuckled.
Dad escorted me outside where the stage was set for me and Zeus. It was in the middle of the field where the Moon Goddess showers her blessings on us. Moonlight.
As soon as I step onto the ground, all eyes are on me. I look at them returning their smile. They are now my people and they look up to me. I can see all the packs of the werewolf world gathered around us. They are cheering and shouting from their places.
The world seemed to stop when I saw him standing on the stage, smiling back at me. I can see through his eyes, all the love that he would confess to everyone.
My father helped me get up the stage and gave my hand to Zeus before leaving me.
"You look very beautiful and captivating tonight." He whispered in my ear.
"And you're not bad to yourself," I said with a smirk.
"Take that smirk off your face or I will take you in here in front of everyone." He said.
I looked into his eyes. He is not kidding. That's why I tremble. I hate it, but I want it at the same time.
He took my hand and led me onto the stage. "Everyone, I want to formally introduce my mate Katharina Omnirous, daughter of Alpha Ramus and your new Queen." He said.
Everyone shouted while clapping their hands in the air. You can also hear some howling from their seats.
He steps forward and faces me. I know this is the time of our vows and he smiles at me.
"Katharina, my Queen. Under the shine of the moon, I want the Moon Goddess to hear my love for you. Through my death, you will be loved. I will protect and take good care of you, I will be a good father to our future children and I will be your faithful mate till the Moon Goddess takes my life again. I love you, Katharina, I always will." He said, sealing his words with a kiss on my forehead.
"Zeus, my super crazy King," I said to everyone, laughing at my words. "I promise to be a great Queen to you and to our people. I have devoted all my life and heart to serving them and I will always be at your side no matter what. I will be a good mate and a good mother to our future children. I will be here for you even in your greatest battle in life. I will love you till the Moon Goddess takes my life. I love you Zeus and I always will." I said, sealing my vows with a very passionate kiss.
"Hail to our King and Queen! Hail to the Moon Goddess! Hail to our future." Tyler shouted.
And everyone started to shift as a tradition. Zeus and I go to the nearest tree where I can strip my clothes because I don't want them to rip off.
We shifted to our wolf form and led the run. I looked at him and he looked at me, happy and contented with what is happening right now and, hopefully, this will never end.
Our forever will start right now.
