The Alpha's Mistress

Both

Ch. 48 / 70 May 07, 2026

“I’ve no idea what you’re talking about,” Levi said innocently.

He pushed up against me, his thighs firm against my backside. Something dark flickered in his eyes and I bit down on my bottom lip. It should be a sin to be this tempting. The tips of his fingers pressed against my skin and a shiver made it’s way down my back as I stared into his fuck-me eyes. I had the urge to hit him and kiss him at the same time. It felt like we were having two different conversations and it was starting to get distracting.

“Oh bull,” I said, calling him on his shit.

“I didn’t go all alpha male on anyone,” Levi huffed.

“Did to!” I laughed. “It happened only a few minutes ago. I can actually recall it perfectly.”

“Nope. I would definitely remember that… and no you can’t,” Levi said with a smug smile.

“Come here,” I said in my best impression of his voice. Now it was his turn to laugh. His silver hair fell back and away from his face as his head dropped back. The sound of his laugh was a low rumble and made my heart dance around like it was drunk off of him, and maybe I was. I was intoxicated and I wanted more. “Come to me Amia,” I said again in his voice.

“Shh,” he said.

I caught a dazzling smile before his hand slid up my waist to my back. He pulled me into his chest so that I fell face first into his hard muscle. I cursed him but it was muffled by him. I pushed off of his chest, but he wouldn’t let me go. So I squirmed on top of him and didn’t miss the very long and hard rod I sat on. His hips lifted up off the seat and I with it. My eyebrows almost flew off my forehead with surprise. He let out a groan and released me. When he had lowered himself back down, I straightened my back. I was satisfied with his reaction but was more than aware that we were playing with fire. I folded my arms in front of my chest and glared at him.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he warned.

“Do what? Free myself?” I said triumphantly.

“You didn’t free yourself, I let you go,” he said.

“Oh, did you now?” I asked.

“Yes, you know what you’re doing. I won’t bite though. I’m not in any rush and that was a one time thing, I have no plans of ever letting you go,” Levi said.

I felt like I was that mouse that Scar was playing with with at the beginning of the Lion King, and Levi was Scar. Levi’s words meant something deeper, something more, but I didn’t focus on that. I just wanted to play, I didn’t want to be serious with him, not tonight. I uncrossed my hands and leaned forward until my chest squished against his. His arms wrapped around me and held me close.

“I want to go home with you. Do you think your parents will mind?” I asked.

“You don’t have to worry about them,” Levi said.

“Oh? Why not?” I asked quietly.

“Because I’m the owner of that house. If you ever want to come over all you have to do is say so. No one will mind and no one will stop you,” Levi said.

I let his words dance around in my mind. We were in our senior year of high school. It should have been weird for a human to own his own home at his age, but I’ve always known he wasn’t like the others. Levi’s parents came from money, so of course he inherited that. Despite having the background that he has, Levi has never come off as snobby or treated anyone like they were less than because they weren’t as well of as he was. That could just be what I expected because of all of the novels I read.

If Levi was a character in a book, would he be the male lead, or just the best friend?

Hmm… if Levi was in a book, what kind of book would he be in?

Rom com? Young adult? Romance? Dark Romance? Omega verse?

“What’s funny now?” Levi murmured as I broke out in a fit of giggles. I couldn’t help it. The thought of him in an Omega verse was not only funny, but insanely hot. My little smutty fantasies were running wild. I snorted.

Would he be a top or a bottom?

“Are you the male lead, or just the best friend?” I asked.

I could have asked him what I wanted to, but I was a coward. I’d play it safe. I didn’t know my question would sound the way they did when I asked it aloud, but it was too late now. His body tensed against mine, but I cuddled closer against him. It wasn’t that serious, it was only a question.

My best friend was silent, but it was a comfortable silence. I had no complaints as I sat on his lap, snuggled against his chest. I felt safest when I was with Levi. I wasn’t expecting an answer. I had a lot of things to think about, Goddess, I had a lot to figure out. This coming week would be a pain and I knew tears and heartache were coming.

As much as I knew this, as much as the weight of my decisions were threatening to come down on me, I couldn’t find the will to care about it. Not right now. Levi made my worries go away and I sighed in his dependable arms. All of my thoughts ebbed away as his fingers danced up and down my back. I guess he wouldn’t give me an answer. My eyelids fluttered as his fingers caressed my ticklish spots. My back wiggled every time he went over them. The sound of his breathing combined with the car ride lulled me to sleep.

“I’m both,” Levi whispered.
