The Alpha's Mistress

For me

Ch. 65 / 70 May 07, 2026

Time stands still as the bell rings and as I glance around, I realize it’s empty. Everyone’s in class now and we’re out here alone. I’m not afraid of Dylan, I’m afraid of what could happen out here without the security of prying eyes to stop them from attacking each other. Dylan’s all seeing gaze watches me and I can see him tuck his anger away. I’ve known him long enough to know that he plans on addressing the issue of me letting another man touch me.

“I don’t know what he told you Amia but you know as much as I do that you need me. You’re nothing without me. You’re not seeing straight. What you’ve done is a crime and I would hate to see you labeled as a traitor. No, you’re not in your right mind, but you’re important to me. I’ll ignore this misstep because… I’m… a forgiving man and I can see that you’ve been led astray by this… this monster. He just wants to fuck you. How could my innocent Amia know any better,” Dylan cooed.

He didn’t so much as look at Levi as he stared at me. I could feel the webs of his lies as he weaved them around me. He wanted to snare me in his trap, he wanted to put me under his spell so I could go back to being who I was, back to being the girl who waited for even just a crumb of attention, back to being the girl who ignored when he slapped me around. It disgusted me. He disgusted me, but most of all I disgusted myself. Is this what I lowered myself for?

Tears filled my eyes and I took a shaky breath as I tried to keep them from falling. Mistaking my tears for acceptance, for weakness, the hunter smiled. He reached out and gently ran the back of his hand down the side of my cheek. He cupped my cheek and as thumb rubbed circles into my cheek as he stared down at me, a knowing smile pulling at one corner of his lips.

“I’ve already claimed you as mine. You may not wear my mark yet, but you belong to me. Don’t worry, I’ll forgive you,” Dylan said.

“You’ll forgive me?” I asked quietly.

“Yes,” Dylan confirmed.

“What makes you think I want your forgiveness?” I asked.

The hand on my cheek froze and his jaw clenched. His eyes glow yellow but I really don’t care. He jerked his hand back and slapped me across the face. My hand flew to the side and my cheek burned. Everything froze and before I knew what was happening I was pushed out of the way and the two of them were moving so fast I could barely keep up with them.

Dylan tried to dodge Levi as he stalked towards him. There was surprise and fear in his eyes. It was pointless trying to get away from Levi, he moved too slow while Levi moved like the wind. My best friends back faced me as he towered over Dylan. He tackled him and wrapped his hands around my ex-boyfriend’s neck. No matter how much Dylan fought he couldn’t break free. Dylan’s wolf threatened to break free, but Levi didn’t budge, choosing only to focus on tightening his grip. He held him tight and I watched as the veins in his neck started to strain. His claws extended and he scratched at Levi’s hands to let him free.

“Levi,” I whispered. “Levi!” I screamed. I rushed him and put my hands on his back. He didn’t look at me, he didn’t even turn his head toward me and I worried he wasn’t hearing me. I didn’t want him to get caught here and I didn’t want the attention of Dylan’s families pack on him if he killed him. I rushed to his side and fell to my knees. When I saw his face I couldn’t help but gasp.

My best friend’s face had morphed, his eyes a bright red, his fangs were long and point and I swallowed at the thought of him piercing through Dylan’s skin with them. His lips were pulled back in disgust. Despite the way he looked, I could still see my Levi. The sweet lips I’d kissed, the hair I loved to feel, the eyes that hated the boy who had hurt me. The hate in his eyes was so powerful, so full of anger. For me. He’d held back and let me talk to him. He always had my back. He was protecting me. Levi could have already killed him.

Emotion had tears running down my cheeks. There was a gargling sound and I looked down at Dylan who’s eyes darted back and forth between me and Levi. He was taking his time, strangling him slowly as to stretch out Dylan’s pain for as long as he could. Levi fully intended on killing him, just slowly. I didn’t care about Dylan, nor did I pity him. I reached out and touched Levi’s cheek with the tips of my fingers. He didn’t flinch, his focus solely on squeezing the life out of Dylan. His nose twitched as he stared down at him.

“Levi,” I cooed. I cupped his cheek and moved so he would see me. “Levi,” I called sweetly. His eyes darted to me before lowering back to Dylan. I leaned up and pressed my lips to his neck. A sound rumbled in his chest and I knew I was getting through to him. His eyes locked on me again but his grip didn’t loosen. “Let him go,” I said with a smile.

“He hurt you,” he growled angrily.

“I know, but he’s not worth it. Can you let him go? Let him go and come to me. I don’t want you to dirty your hands,” I whispered honestly. He battled with wanting to come to me and wanting to end Dylan. “Come to me,” I pleaded.
