ADRIAN CASTILLO
"Excuse me, sir, Mr. Adante has requested that for your audience, he is currently waiting for you outside," Melinda, my secretary informed me.
I frowned upon hearing about Mr. Adante's presence. I have ended the deal with him and do not plan on giving him another chance but no matter how many times I tell him and reject him, he doesn't seem to listen to me.
"Who let him in?" I asked.
I mean I have securities for reason and I do not understand why they would let a man like him enter my company.
I have told them officially about him so I could not blame them.
"Tell him to go away or I will be forced to tell him securities to drag him," I tell her.
She nodded her head before leaving me to continue my work.
I was trying hard to concentrate but I just couldn't not when Sophia ugly eyes invaded my mind and thoughts.
It's been over a month since I married her and a week since I resumed back to work. I have missed being at work but where I expected to be my safe place turned out to be Sophia's hiding spot.
It felt as if she was in the room as I tend to see her face appear everywhere and worse, her ugly eyes
Those ugly brown eyes of hers that I disliked more than anything in this world.
I snapped back to reality when someone barged into my room. I glared at Mr. Adante as soon as he entered my room, pushing my secretary out of the way with force.
"I see you have refused to speak to me. Just why Adrian, tell me?" He demanded, irking me as I hated being questioned.
"Are you dumb or you have refused to have sense, which is it?" I snapped at him.
"Wh..." I cut him off, not wanting to hear him speak.
"I will talk and you will listen. I am not going to listen to you anymore and I have closed that deal which means I am not interested in doing business with you at all. If you have a problem with that then that's your problem and not mine, okay? Now leave my office this instant or you will be dragged out by the security, the ball is in your court," I told him sternly.
"What are you doing this Adrian? We are both businessmen and you cannot conclude by what you heard about me..." I cut him off again.
If there was anything I hated, it had to be a fraudulent man. Mr. Adante is not only a thief but a very cunny man.
The land he claimed to own is not his and belongs to his late brother's wife. He is trying so hard to sell the land to me and take the money and run away.
His late brother's wife approached me when she heard of my interest in the land. At first, I didn't believe her until she has me do some investigations and it turns out to be true.
There are a lot of deceitful people in this world and Mr. Adante was a part of them. He has an interest in his late brother's wife but she doesn't like him back and has refused every of his approach.
When his brother died, he tried advances toward her again but she refused him and so, to torment her, he claimed all of his brothers properly, leaving her with nothing but the land that I have an interest in.
I later found out that Clara, the owner of the land has heart disease and her son is not up to ten yet. The only reason she wants to sell the land is that she needs money so she could be able to move and help herself and her son until he was man enough.
The land was the only thing Mr. Adante couldn't claim and so he decided to use other means to take that from her too. When I found out, I was furious.
I hate men like him. They were the worse. Men like him are not worthy to be called men. They were animals in human form and in human clothes.
"I see you have refused to leave," I nodded my head before dialing a number on my landline.
In less than five minutes, the securities came and dragged Mr. Adante away. I took in a deep breath and exhaled.
"Good riddance to rubbish!" I muttered to myself.
I tried to continue with my work once again when I heard the sound of my phone ringing. I took my phone to my desk to see the caller ID.
I sighed when I saw that it was my grandfather calling. I knew why he was calling and I was tired of hearing it.
No matter how hard I tried to avoid Sophia, I must hear her name or things related to her. I have never been so frustrated and her eyes, those dull brown eyes of hers irked me the most.
My phone stopped ringing and I sighed in relief but it was short-lived as I heard the sound of my phone ringing again.
I knew if I didn't answer, my grandfather would keep calling, and do I answered.
"Why haven't you made preparations for your honeymoon Adrian?" I heard my grandfather say through the phone.
I knew this was what he wanted to talk about and so I groaned mentally.
"I know you are listening so I demand an answer from you. I mean I already gave you enough chance. You said you would make preparations for it which were why I didn't do anything about it but it's over a month now and nothing!" He complained.
I rubbed my forehead as I listened to him. The issue with my grandfather was, that he would keep talking until he got an answer from you.
