Love after Divorce

27 big lie!

Ch. 27 / 127 Apr 15, 2026

After that first encounter, the second one comes in bed, then the third one on the sofa, kneeling. Then he stimulates me by licking and biting my vulva.

This guy definitely knows what he's doing; he manages to turn me on again within seconds. We return to the bed and do it once more. I must say, I'm more than exhausted. Despite that, I get up to grab my clothes.

"Do you mind if I take a shower?" I ask, looking at the bathroom.

"Not at all. I would join you, but my body won't cooperate," he responds, closing his eyes.

I don't say anything and head straight to the bathroom. I take a shower since I'm sweaty, and I also need to go back home. I need some rest. I glance at the time and realize it's 5 in the morning.

Damn it, I have to submit the assignment by 10 in the morning; I need to hurry. I quickly shower and stealthily leave the bathroom, glancing at the guy who is asleep. Perfect for me.

I approach the door and grab my purse. Before leaving, I take a piece of paper and write "Thank you." Then I leave before he wakes up.

I arrive at my house by taxi, head straight to my bed, close my eyes, and let my body rest for a few hours.

The alarm wakes me up at 8. I feel like I didn't sleep at all, and my body aches. Well, not the entire body, just my legs and hips.

I drag myself out of bed, becoming my usual self again, with my hair loose and my natural eye color. I prepare my work and head to the university for breakfast. I need to double-check everything before submitting this report.

I look at my phone and see a message from Mason.

"I'll be there around noon. Can we have lunch together?" Mason's message reads.

I shake my head in response to his question. Why has lunch? Is it a sense of guilt or obligation that prompts him to invite me? I'd rather not see him. I want to sleep, and besides, I need to pick up my baby from Emily's house.

"I can't. I have to go get Simba, who is with your mother. Plus, I've been awake almost all night working on an assignment that I'm about to submit. See you tonight at home," I reply, keeping the phone silent. I forget about everything and focus on the task I have to submit in less than an hour. Time flies when I'm engrossed in university work. Before I know it, the day has slipped away. The professor reviewed my work and praised me, which brightened my day.

As I leave, I search for my phone and call Emily. She tells me that Mason picked up Simba as soon as he arrived to take him home. I sigh to prevent myself from saying anything rude. I bid her goodbye and end the call, then I hear a bark. I turn and see my baby running towards me, his leash dragging on the ground.

I go to meet him and let him lick my face. Within a minute, Mason arrives, smiling. I see the sparkle of happiness and love in his eyes, and I remember everything I discovered.

I resist the urge to stop smiling. We're in public; I can't make a scene. I stand up, taking hold of my baby's leash, and greet Mason with a kiss on the cheek. He looks at me strangely because we usually greet each other with a quick kiss on the lips. To avoid questions, I smile and say, "Let's go home. I'm really tired and just want to sleep," unable to suppress a yawn as I finish speaking.

"Aren't you hungry?" he asks, confused.

"To be honest, between hunger and sleep, the latter is stronger," I say, caressing Simba.

"Alright, whatever my wife wants. Let's go home," he says, taking my notebooks and school bag.

On the way home, I rest my head against the seat and close my eyes. All I really want right now is for Mason not to be here and to sleep with my baby. That's not too much to ask for, is it?

I don't realize when we get home, as I end up falling asleep on the way. I feel them take me in their arms and by the scent I feel entering my nose it is Mason carrying me, I would like to get down and walk, but I really feel exhausted, physically, and mentally.

As we lie on the bed, Mason removes only my shoes and then tucks me in. He kisses my forehead and I feel like wiping where he kissed me. I restrain myself so he doesn't notice I'm awake, just avoiding talking to him.

He leaves me alone and my baby lies down next to me, I settle in and fall asleep for real.

I don't know what time it is; I just know Mason is waking me up for dinner, I look at the tray he brings me and see it's that thing he always cooks, I sit up in bed and get ready for dinner, but I can't do it. Mason has his eyes fixed on me, waiting for me to say something, but I feel like if I say anything to him right now, I will let it all out like verbal vomit.

I look at Simba to distract myself from the accusing look. I tell him so because it's a look he gives me whenever he knows I'm not telling him something. He's exasperating me in a way that I'm getting scared myself.
