Connor didn't say anything more and helped Annette out of the private room.
After the door was closed, Judica said discontentedly to Darren, "Dad, what are you doing? Didn't you say you would introduce me to Alpha Connor? Why did you call me so late?"
"I didn't expect Annette to be drunk."
"Who is Annette?"
Darren smiled, "Just now, Alpha Connor said that she was Marcus' tutor before."
"You invited Alpha Connor to a meal. Why did you bring her here?"
"I asked around. I heard that Marcus is close to Annette at school. There are rumors that they may be a couple. So I brought Annette here to help me."
Judica pursed her lips and said, "But she is not reliable. Look at how drunk she is. I think she is seducing Alpha Connor."
"Don't you sense her aura? She is a rogue. Alpha Connor won't take a fancy to a rogue."
Judica didn't believe him. She said, "She is so beautiful. Forget it. I won't be angry with you. Next time, you should call me earlier."
"No problem. I get it," Darren said with a smile.
Connor helped Annette into the car.
Annette broke free from his arms and looked out the window of a toy shop not far away.
Connor looked in the same direction and asked, "Annette, what's the matter?"
Annette pulled his arm and turned to look at him.
She said pitifully, "Can we save it?"
She reached out and pointed at the teddy bear.
Connor held back his laughter and said, "It doesn't need our help. It is sitting there and enjoying the moonlight."
Annette shook her head and said, "No, it is lonely. It needs me very much. I want to take it home and make it my sister."
"The shop is closed. After the shop opens tomorrow, I will get someone to buy it for you. Is that okay?"
Annette grabbed Connor's arm with both hands and said, "I want it now!"
Connor tapped the corner of his lips and said, "Kiss me, and I'll get it for you immediately."
Annette wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned closer to him. She raised her head and printed her lips on his.
Leonard was shocked to see the scene.
Connor ordered Leonard, "Tell Hari the address of the shop and ask him to find the owner in ten minutes."
"Okay, Alpha Connor."
Annette stood up. She staggered to the window, squatted in front of the teddy bear, and poked the glass.
Connor followed her and said, "Let's wait a little longer. The shop owner will come soon."
Annette said unhappily, "You didn't keep your word. You said you would give it to me immediately, but you lied to me. Men are all bad. Lance is a bad guy. Kyle is a bad guy."
She pointed at Connor's face. "You are also a bad guy. Men are not trustworthy."
She pressed her face against the glass with disappointment, so sad that she was about to cry.
"Teddy bear, I'm sorry. I was deceived and couldn't save you."
Connor squatted down and said, "I didn't lie to you. The shop owner will be here soon. I'll ask him to open the door. You can buy as many as you want, okay?"
"I don't believe you," Annette shouted.
"What can I do to make you believe you?"
Annette acted like a spoiled child and said, "I want you to keep your word and give me the bear immediately."
Connor nodded. "Okay, I'll give it to you immediately. Stand up and take two steps back."
He helped Annette up and took her back to the roadside.
Annette leaned against a tree.
Seeing her stand steady, Connor walked to the window and called out to Leo in his mind. Then, his arm swelled up slightly, and the veins on his forearm bulged.
He raised his fist and smashed it against the window.
The sound of glass shattering scared Annette.
She watched as Connor took out the bear from the shop. He walked to Annette and handed her the bear. "Now, am I a man of his word?"
Annette took the bear and hugged it tightly.
Connor looked at Annette and said, "Let's get into the car."
Annette nodded in a daze.
They got into the car, and Leonard followed them.
Connor said, "Get someone to deal with the compensation."
"OK, Alpha Connor."
When they arrived at Connor's villa, Annette refused to get out of the car. She shouted, "This is not my house."
"Where is this?" Connor asked.
"It is Connor's house." Annette put her finger to her lips. She looked around and said, "Be quiet. Connor is a bad guy. He always bullies me. I won't go to his home and you shouldn't either."
"Where do you want to go?" Connor said resignedly.
"I live in an apartment near Werewolf University."
Connor rolled down the window and said to the driver, "Get in the car and take us to the apartment."
When they finally arrived at the apartment, Connor helped Annette up the stairs.
After entering the house, Connor helped her to the sofa.
Annette sat down, and he bent over.
They were close to each other, so close that they could feel each other's breathing.
Connor almost couldn't suppress his desires.
Annette raised her hand and touched his eyelashes gently. She smiled, "Your eyelashes are so long. They are pretty."
"Is there anything else?"
Annette's fingers moved down to Connor's lips slowly. "Your lips are rosy as if you've put on lipstick..."
Before she could finish her sentence, she was interrupted by Connor's kiss.
Her head leaned against the back of the sofa.
Connor pressed her down on the sofa and touched her passionately.
Annette had been holding the teddy bear tightly with one hand.
Connor's gentle caresses turned her on bit by bit.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, which was an encouragement to Connor.
Annette was muddled, and she felt even dizzier now.
She was unable to tell if it was a dream or reality.
However, no matter if it was a dream or reality, she couldn't control herself anymore.
She only felt tired and sleepy.
