His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 126

Ch. 126 / 264 Apr 07, 2026

On Sunday, Lucas and Alina of the Blood Moon Pack came to Connor's villa together.

At noon, Marcus also came back from school to have lunch.

He was in sportswear and sweaty.

As soon as he entered the courtyard, Alina said, "Marcus, why don't you change your clothes before coming back? Don't you feel uncomfortable?"

"I'm in a hurry to come back and eat with you." Marcus grabbed his clothes and sniffed his top. "You are right. I stink. I'll take a quick shower. I'll be back in ten minutes."

Marcus left, and Alina shook her head speechlessly.

She said to Annette, "I can still remember what Marcus looked like when he was a little boy. Time flies. I am envious of your age."

"Ms. Grace, come on. You were once our age."

Alina sighed and looked up at the sky. "That's right. I was happy when I was your age. That was the happiest time of my life. I hope that time can turn back."

For some reason, Annette thought of Connor.

Alina's happiness must have something to do with Connor.

"By the way," Alina thought of something and said, "Has Connor contacted anyone from the Black Thorn Pack recently?"

Annette thought for a moment and shook her head. "No."

  "You don't know either?"

  Annette was puzzled. "What happened?"

"A few days ago, when I was having afternoon tea with a few friends, they told me that Jessica and her mother were spreading the news about the marriage alliance between the Black Thorn Pack and the Blood Moon Pack."

  Annette was a little surprised.

"Ms. Hall, have you heard of it?" Alina asked.

Annette shook her head. "No, I haven't."

Alina pondered for a moment and said, "It's normal that you haven't heard of it. Did Connor tell you about it?"

Annette shook her head calmly and replied, "No."

"That's strange. Connor should know about it. I can understand why he doesn't clarify it immediately, but why didn't he tell you? After all, he hates the Black Thorn Pack so much. He shouldn't tolerate this kind of thing and should stand out and clarify it."

Annette frowned and said, "Ms. Grace, why does Connor hate the Black Thorn Pack so much? What happened between the Black Thorn Pack and the Blood Moon Pack before?"

Alina asked Annette, "Has Connor never mentioned it to you?"

  Annette said, "No, he hasn't."

Alina's brows relaxed a little. She asked in surprise, "How could that be?"

"He didn't tell me anything. You should know it, right?" Annette asked.

Alina was silent for a moment. "Since Connor didn't tell you, he must have his reasons, and I shouldn't overstep the boundaries and tell you. Ms. Hall, don't think too much about it. I think he might tell you after you get closer to him. Give him some time, okay?"

  Annette felt a little upset.

She thought, 'Connor kept saying that he liked me. However, Alina knows all his secrets, and I know nothing.

What was going on with the marriage alliance between the Black Thorn Pack and the Blood Moon Pack?'

Annette looked at Connor, who was sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, feeling a little disappointed.

If the marriage alliance was true, she would leave Connor.

Seeing Annette fall into silence, Alina said sadly, "I shouldn't have said that. Are you feeling alright? Ms. Hall, please don't get me wrong. I just want you to be more careful. The Luna of the Black Thorn Pack is a scheming woman."

Annette said with a smile, "I'm fine, Ms. Grace. I was thinking about something else just now. I won't push Connor. Since I have chosen him, I will trust him and support him."

Alina looked at Connor, who was chatting with Lucas in the living room, her eyes carrying a trace of affection.

Marcus came back. Seeing that Annette and Alina were still sitting in the courtyard, he took a chair over and sat down. "You have chatted for so long. I've finished bathing and changed my clothes, and you are still chatting."

Alina patted his leg and said, "Annette and I have been chatting for the whole morning."

Marcus was talking with Annette and Alina happily in the courtyard, which attracted the attention of Connor and Lucas in the living room.

Lucas looked into the yard and said, "Our family seems to be different from before."

Connor put on a faint smile. "It is much better than before."

"So, it is important to have a good mate."

Connor's gaze was always on Annette, who was joking with Marcus. He did not notice that Alina kept peeking at him.

Alina tightened her grip on the coffee cup.

She found that Connor's gaze had changed.

She put down the coffee cup and smiled at Annette and Marcus. "Alright, stop messing around. Everyone is watching you."

Marcus stuck out his tongue at Annette, looking completely different from his cold and aloof image at school.

Alina patted Marcus. "You don't have to get involved in women's chatting. Go find Lucas and Connor in the living room."

  Marcus turned and walked away.

Annette sat down again. She took a deep breath and drank some water.

Alina smiled, "It seems that you and Marcus are close."

"Yeah, we spent quite some time together," Annette said with a smile.

Alina continued, "Actually, I am envious of you. Looking at you, I thought of my young self. At that time, I was so happy."

Annette felt that there was something off about Alina's aura. Something that made her uncomfortable.

Thinking about it carefully, it was probably the aura of a resentful woman.

Alina's eyes, tone, and expression seemed to be resentful.

Annette was quite curious about what had happened between Alina, Lucas, and Connor before. Alina and Connor loved each other, but why weren't they together?
