I'll Never Leave You

Ch. 28 / 125 Feb 13, 2026

"Ok, students. Submit your assignments by the end of this week. That's all for today's class, "

Seraphina sighed softly, hearing her teacher and then started closing her books and copies.

"Damn. I thought, this class is cancelled but look, she took our another hour and gave this tons of homework, "

Seraphina heard a group of girls, who were sitting behind her.

"Be grateful, Shyla. We didn't leave for home otherwise our class would have been skipped today, " Another girl spoke

Seraphina was packing her bag to leave her classroom . Rest of the students were doing the same when everyone heard that voice

"Class, be silent, "

Seraphina took her eyes upward and saw her class teacher standing before the students.

"Miss Seraphina Miller, "

Seraphina gulped hearing her teacher. She stood up and spoke

"Yes, Ms. Tyler, "

"Miss Miller, you have been called by the principal right now, so please follow me, "

Seraphina tensed up that why the principal had called her all of a sudden. She put her bag on her shoulder and followed her teacher.

"Miss Miller is here, "

Seraphina heard her class teacher announcing after entering the principal's office. She took her eyes upward and her breathing hitched in fear by watching police, her principal and that person who was sitting before her principal, back facing her.

Seraphina was afraid until she saw that person turning his head around and her blue eyes met with those grey orbs. A sense of safety and security washed over her, finding him there and she herself didn't know why and how.

She became confused by finding him there until.

"Miss Seraphina Miller, we are here to take your statement on Dale Lewis's accident case, "

Seraphina's eyes widened hearing the police's words. Dale's accident but how, he had just met her an hour ago.

"You have to answer some of our question and, " The police said and tried to walk towards her but before they could reach her, Seraphina saw that huge, burly figure shielding her

"Give her a second to breath. She's not running anywhere, " Arzal spat at the police men and then turned around to face her.

Seraphina was still shocked and now terrified. Any moment she was about to break down into tears in fear but she was holding them back in front of so many people and he understood it very well.

He held her hand and uttered

"Give us a second, "

No one dared to defy him and he took her out from the principal office to an empty class.

"Look at me, Sera, "

Seraphina, who had her eyes downcast, slowly trailed her eyes upward hearing his calm and deep voice . Tears were silently rolling down from her cheeks and she had an uncountable number of questions in her glossy eyes but had lost her voice to speak.

He cupped her face and cleaned her tears.

"Stop crying, Sera. Everything will be fine, princess, " He told her, gently

She just blinked and shedded her tears.

"They are just going to ask you some questions and you just have to tell them what you know. That's it, " He assured her but she was still terribly afraid.

She shrugged her head slightly and then did what she was needing to do right at that moment. She hugged him and buried her face into his chest.

"M.. Mamma... . , " She chanted her mother's name because she was hurt, knowing about Dale. She was afraid because of the investigation. Everything was triggering her both emotionally and mentally.

"I.. I want to go home, "

He sighed and hugged her back. He caressed her head and softly whispered in her ear.

"We will go home, Princess but you just have to give them some answers. Then we will leave from here immediately, " He never knew he was capable of holding this much patience. But when it comes to her, he did those things which he himself didn't know he was capable of doing.

Seraphina embraced him more tightly. Her body started shivering in fear which made him tighten his grip around her.

"It's going to be alright, Sera. I am here with you, Princess, "

She slowly took her head upward and looked at him through her wet lashes.

"P..promise me, you won't leave me, "

A soft and small smile formed on his face, hearing her words. He bent his head down and kissed her tiny nose pin

"Promise, I won't leave you till the last breath of my life, Princess, "

A promise which bound their fates forever, a promise which collided their souls together forever and a promise which made both of their existences submit to each other for eternity.

Her heart finally felt an ease from her fear because even she knew, in his presence nobody would even dare to raise their eyes at her, let alone hurting her.

She slowly nodded and agreed to face the investigation.

After half an hour, Seraphina was sitting on his car's passenger seat, looking outside at the dark sky through the glass window. They were heading back home after she gave her statement to the police, that Dale had came to her school to pick her up but she had her class rescheduled that time, so she told him about that and he told her that he would pick her up after her class and then he left from her school and she went to her class.

Seraphina had leaned her head against the glass window. She was feeling exhausted, vulnerable and now worried about her brother. She requested him to take her to her brother to the police station but he denied her and assured her that Nathan will be alright. His lawyer was with him, who wouldn't let anything happen to her brother and she ended up agreeing, as she had no other option.

He was driving his car but didn't forget to take her glances and he didn't like watching her in that state. She was completely quiet and hadn't said anything to him. He had even bought her food but she refused to eat and he didn't force her to eat because he didn't want to hurt her more.

So in complete silence, they reached her home. He pulled his car and then got out of it. He walked towards her direction and opened her side car's door.

Seraphina , without speaking anything, got out of the car and walked towards her home. He heaved and took that box of food which she forgot to take with her and then he followed her towards her home.
