Seraphina thought he was going to hurt her, he was going to shout at her. He was going to do so many immoral things to her but all she felt was him wrapping his arms around her back and pulling her into a warm, soft and gentle hug which made her stunned.
He hugged her delicately, making her bursted out crying. She tried to push him away, she struggled but he didn't loosen his grip around her until she didn't loosen up entirely in his arms.
Getting fed up with everything. Fighting that inner battle between her heart and her mind, Seraphina gave up to her heart. She hugged him back and buried her face into his chest.
She whimpered like a baby while hugging him tightly because he had given her that pain and he was her only cure. He had made her terrified but she was feeling the most secure and safe in his arms.
"Y.. You're worst, sir. "
His heart finally got its calmness, hearing her calling him that and feeling her burying herself in his warmth.
"You're w.. worst, " She sobbed and he continued to hug her and caressed her head gently till she didn't calm down.
Seraphina stopped sobbing. Her loud cries turned into silent tears but she never loosened her grip around him because it was beautifully calming and peaceful. His warm embrace was like a solution to her problems, a cure to all her pains when he himself was the giver of that pain.
Feeling her calming down, he broke the hug slightly and looked at her face which had been completely stained with tears. She really had a habit of crying like a little baby.
He took out his clean handkerchief from his pocket and slowly started tapping it on her face amiably. He cleaned her face and Seraphina didn't even think about stopping him.
After wiping her tears , he shoved the handkerchief back in his pocket and cupped her tiny face in his large palms.
Without speaking anything, he leaned closer to her face and kissed her nose pin, making her calm yet afraid at the same time.
He pulled back and gazed into her shiny azure eyes .
"From now on, you will not hug or get closer to any other man except your brother and me, " He uttered, calmly.
Seraphina witnessed no anger in his eyes but his words were enough to make her lower her eyes in defeat because she didn't even have the strength to fight with him anymore.
He held her palm and spoke
"Let's go. Your brother must be waiting for you, " And then he took her away from there and she just followed him like a lost puppy.
But the thing Seraphina didn't know was someone else was present there too , who had witnessed everything through that pair of emerald eyes.
"Make sure you don't miss this time because if you do then I won't let you to live your life to miss out anything else,
I want Seraphina Miller dead before the dusk of tomorrow , at any cost, "
The rays of the sun entered through the window of her school cafeteria. Seraphina was sitting in her school cafeteria .
Last night, she immediately left with her brother for her home when he took her to Nathan and after what happened at that lobby, Seraphina wasn't able to sleep for the whole last night. She didn't know how to feel about it. She didn't know what to do anymore. She wanted to tell everything to Nathan but his warning was still ringing in her head and Seraphina knew he was capable of doing what he had said to her.
She was afraid of him, not for herself because at that point she had understood one thing clearly that he didn't want to hurt her but he could hurt anyone because of her and for her, which she didn't want.
All those things were stressing her terribly . She was lost in her thoughts when her phone ring caught her attention.
It was Nathan. Seraphina picked her phone up.
"Hello! "
"Sephi! Are you done with your classes for today or do you have your literature class now? " Nathan asked.
"Ummm.. My literature teacher is on leave for today, I think. The class monitor was telling about it, so I guess the literature class get cancelled and I am done for today, "
"Oh... okay but here I have to attend an important meeting now because I thought you have your literature class today and you still need an hour to get done with your classes and till then, I will get done with my meeting and can pick you up, "
Seraphina heard Nathan sighing. She knew it was difficult for him to manage everything. His work, her responsibility but he never showed it to her because he loved her more than anything and anyone but sometimes situations turned everything more difficult for him and at that moment, she knew she needed to be understanding and supportive.
"It's okay, Nate. I can wait. After you will get done with your work, you can pick me from school, "
"No, Sephi . My meeting is going to last for more than an hour and I can't let you wait that long, " He spoke .
"But Nate... "
"Wait a minute, Sephi. " Nathan uttered, halting her.
Seraphina heard Nathan talking to someone for a minute and then he returned back to her
"Sephi , angel, is it okay with you if Dale came to your school to pick you up? "
Seraphina gulped at his words.
"Because he's free now, so he can drop you to home but only if you are comfortable, angel otherwise I am coming there to pick you up, "
"No, you don't have to. You just focus on your meeting and yes, it's alright. I will go back to home with Dale, " She replied because she knew she had no other alternative than that and she didn't want to make everything more difficult for her brother.
"Are you sure , Sephi? "
"Yes, " She trusted Dale and she knew he would never make her feel uncomfortable.
"Okay then, he will be there within 15 minutes . "
"Okay. All the best for your meeting, "
"Thank you, my angel. Bye, take care, "
"Bye bye, "
Seraphina hung up her phone and exhaled a relaxing breath after hearing her brother's cheerful voice. She darted her azure eyes back on the glass window and now noticed the bright shiny sun had gotten covered with dark clouds. The gleaming weather had started turning dim and dusky which made something snap in her mind.
"From now on, you will not hug or get closer to any other man except your brother and me, "
Her throat turned dry, recalling those words of his but Seraphina didn't take his words into consideration at that moment and besides how would he know that Dale was going to pick her up from her school but only if she knew what her fate had really stored for her.
His greyish silver eyes were keenly reading those documents which were placed in front of his table. He was about to turn the page when he heard the door of his cabin open with a loud thud.
"Arzal, "
He snapped his eyes at Nicklaus, who was looking visibly worried but he didn't care less . He took his eyes down and turned the page.
"Arzal, that Dale Lewis got into a terrible car accident today and he died on spot, "
His hand clutched the paper in a slight fist but he continued to read.
"And how is it my concern, Nick? " He asked, completely unbothered, even after hearing that heart-drenching news of someone losing his life.
He finished another page and was about to turn the page when he heard Nick sighing heavily and then heard him uttering those words which froze his existence.
"Because Seraphina Miller was present with him inside his car, during the accident , "
