Destined by One Night: The CEO's Pursuit

Chapter 92

Ch. 92 / 281 Apr 07, 2026

"So, you didn't prepare the information of the meeting?" Sergio interrupted her coldly.

Billie nodded, her hands tightly clenched together.

Sergio took a deep breath and said, "Ms. Chapman is right. You get paid by the Lowe Group."

Sergio returned to his seat and texted Malcolm. He reported what had happened this morning to Malcolm.

The next moment, his phone rang. It was from Malcolm. Sergio frowned. Hadn't he made himself clear enough?

"Hey!" Sergio answered casually as he comfortably leaned against the back of his chair.

Malcolm's angry voice came from the other side, "Go and investigate this whole thing. Velma is a design major. The position she applied for makes sense. The personnel department knows about my relationship with her family. Maybe they went easy on her. As for Sandra, someone must have done something behind her back. And Billie, tell her to fuck off if she wants to quit."

"Got it," Sergio said indifferently.

Then, he hung up the phone.

Glancing at the office opposite him, he called Billie.

"Hello! Sergio!" Billie answered the phone nervously.

"Mr. Lowe asked me to tell you, fuck off if you want to quit." Hearing Sergio's cold voice, Billie turned deathly pale.

For such a small mistake, Malcolm asked her to fuck off.

Billie finally realized that Malcolm treated Marilyn differently.

Billie became the director's assistant, just to get close to Malcolm.

However, after Hannah left, Marilyn came. Billie's dream was shattered.

Billie thought, "No, I can't leave."

She apologized to Sergio, "Sergio, I'm sorry. I won't do this again."

"This is your last chance. You are touching Mr. Lowe's bottom line."

Sergio hung up the phone. The phone in Billie's hand fell onto the desk. She was as pale as a ghost.

"You are touching Mr. Lowe's bottom line." This reminded her of what kind of person Malcolm was.

The Lowe Group treated employees well. For the employees, the more they worked, the more they gained.

If an employee slacked off his work and affected the progress, Malcolm would kick him out without hesitation.

The company didn't need trash!

Billie quickly picked up the notebook on her desk, trying to rush to the conference room as soon as possible.

However, she had just opened the door to the office when Marilyn returned.

The meeting only lasted for ten minutes. Marilyn didn't like to waste others' time. She tried to get to the point, simple and straightforward. Everyone recognized her working attitude.

Every department was actively cooperating with her.

During the meeting, Sandra refuted Marilyn, but she was rendered speechless by Candice, the manager of the marketing department.

It just so happened that Sandra was assigned to the marketing department according to her major. Candice had a good impression of Marilyn, and she knew Sandra's background.

Candice disliked Sandra. In Candice's eyes, this kind of person had sharp eyes in criticizing others but clumsy hands in doing things herself.

Velma was assigned to work in the Propaganda Department, and she was okay with it.

This saved Marilyn a lot of trouble.

Marilyn walked toward her office. Billie was standing at the door waiting for her. Billie's face was pale.

Marilyn didn't get angry. She said indifferently, "Billie, excuse me. I still have much work to do."

She had to go to the airport to pick up Dominic before five o'clock.

Billie pursed her lips and apologized in a low voice, "Ms. Chapman, I'm sorry! I promise I won't do this again. I will do everything you tell me to do."

Sergio had told Malcolm what had happened here. Malcolm trusted Sergio very much.

When Malcolm was not here, Sergio would take care of the Lowe Group for him.

"Alright!" Marilyn nodded. She knew that Billie wouldn't change.

After all, Billie was born like this.

And Billie worked for the Chambers family.

Billie stepped aside to let Marilyn in...

The plane flew above the clouds. The clouds were as white as snow, forming endless waves.

Malcolm and Julian flew first class. Julian felt bored during the travel, so he went to the economy cabin to do some stretch.

As he walked, he suddenly found that a child by the window looked exactly the same as Arturo. But when he took a closer look, he was not so sure about it.

Dominic was wearing a white T-shirt, a pair of blue jeans, and children's sunglasses. He leaned against the back of the chair, resting with his eyes closed.

Julian looked at Dominic for a long time, but Dominic did not know about that.

Julian thought of Jeannie, and a hint of joy flashed through his heart.

He could finally see her. However, Jeannie wasn't here. Julian was slightly puzzled.

No way. Jeannie was Arturo's manager, so she should be here too.

Julian carefully looked around again, and he still couldn't find Jeannie.

He frowned. After catching a glance at Dominic, he turned back to the first-class cabin.

A stewardess was handing a cup of coffee to Malcolm with a smile.

Malcolm had not slept for a day and night. He was very tired. He leaned lazily against the back of the seat and took a sip of the coffee.

"Malcolm, I saw Arturo. He is in economy class."

Malcolm was puzzled. Arturo was very popular now, so he wouldn't sit in economy class.

Maybe Julian found a pretty girl and wanted Malcolm to go over and take a look.

No, if Julian found a pretty girl, he would not tell Malcolm.

Julian was afraid that the beauty would be attracted by Malcolm, and this happened a lot.

Julian had walked up to Malcolm.

"Malcolm, I was talking to you. Didn't you hear me?" Julian only felt that it was particularly difficult to communicate with Malcolm.

Sometimes, Malcolm was too lazy to look up, let alone answer his question.

But Arturo was Malcolm's son. Malcolm shouldn't be so indifferent.

After all, that was his son!

Julian was envious of it.
