Malcolm nodded in understanding and looked at her with a charming gaze. "Lynn, I can keep it a secret for you. But what will you offer in return?"
Marilyn frowned and looked at him in disbelief.
"You are a profiteer! You will never miss the opportunity to get your interests." Marilyn said directly.
Malcolm smiled slyly and said, "Lynn, a businessman relies on capital to make money. As a businessman, I have to make everything useful."
"You are a profiteer, a mercenary. You take advantage of me." Marilyn looked at him angrily. It was not something very difficult to do, okay?
But he wanted to make use of it to get profit from her.
Malcolm laughed d brightly and looked around the barbecue stall. More customers were here now, and many of them looked at them from time to time.
He slowly retracted his gaze and looked at Marilyn's angry little face. He smiled and said, "Lynn, when doing business, you can decide how much you want to invest, but you can't control the results. When you make the right investment, you'll win once. But when you choose the right person, you will win a lifetime!"
Marilyn somewhat agreed with what he said. When one met the wrong person, he would suffer for the rest of his life.
However, she was still angry. "If you know this, why don't you behave yourself?"
Dominic felt her mother's changing emotions. Malcolm had the ability to make her mad.
Malcolm suddenly shifted from arrogant to innocent. "Lynn, I just want you to treat me to a meal and I'll keep it a secret for you. I didn't ask you to do anything else."
Marilyn was speechless...
"Well, why didn't you say so earlier!" It was just a small demand. She could meet it.
Malcolm smiled innocently and said, "Lynn, you scolded me before I could explain."
Marilyn suddenly gritted her teeth and glared at him. She found that today she had lost all her good temper over the years.
The way he spoke could be interpreted in different ways.
"Alright, I'll treat you to a meal and you keep it a secret!" She spent a lot of effort to save Denise from the river and she did not want to ruin them.
Sometimes, the hardest choice one had made would eventually become the best thing he had ever done.
When she left Fielddell seven years ago, she had decided that she would never care about others' comments. She wanted to be herself.
"Alright! I'll make the time." Malcolm took advantage of this opportunity.
Marilyn instantly felt that Malcolm tricked her again. Moreover, she didn't try to escape even if she knew that something was wrong.
Dominic shook his head slightly. His mother was indeed too innocent to be Malcolm's match.
Feeling her anger, Malcolm smiled. "Lynn, you need to control your emotions. If you get angry so easily, you will age very quickly."
Marilyn really wanted to give him a slap, a hard one. That was the only way she would vent her anger.
She said angrily, "I don't need that. You just need to take care of yourself and don't make me angry!" she said word by word with anger.
Although he was very good-looking and pleasing to the eye, how could he ruin someone's mood just like this?
Malcolm laughed and said, "Lynn, I didn't do anything to make you angry. I just proposed conditions beneficial to myself."
Lynn was so cute when she got angry.
He signed.
He really wanted to take her home and bicker with her like this every day. Then he must be very happy.
When Marilyn heard this, she was furious. She shouted in a low voice, "Shut up. People find you attractive when you're silent. But you ruin everything when you speak."
Malcolm laughed happily.
Suddenly, he leaned close to her and said in a teasing tone, "Lynn, so you find me attractive?"
"No! But after seeing your shamelessness, I find that the world is so beautiful." Her tone was extremely sarcastic.
Malcolm could interpret the sarcasm in her words, but he was not angry. Grumpy as he was, he had never thought of being mad at her.
Lynn was the person he truly cherished in his life.
"Marilyn, Dominic, here are your dishes. This seafood is the freshest. Today is my treat. You can eat as much as you want."
Denise held a large plate of dishes and said with a smile.
Seeing that, Marilyn said worriedly, "Denise, you are pregnant now. You can't be so busy. It is not good for you. You should rest more."
Denise shook her head and said with a smile, "Lynn, don't worry about me. In our hometown, a pregnant woman can still work in the fields. Even so, the baby is healthy when it comes to the world. Moreover, what I'm doing is just something easy to do. It helps me sleep well."
Marilyn smiled. "Then take care of yourself!"
Marilyn got up and took out the dishes on the table.
When she was pregnant, she also worked. She designed clothes every day to earn money. At that time, as long as there was nothing wrong with her belly, she would try desperately to find inspiration.
She gave birth to her three children smoothly.
"I will. Marilyn, you guys eat first. There are still three bowls of rice noodles there. I will get them for you." After Denise finished speaking, she turned and left with light footsteps, looking very happy.
Malcolm glanced at Marilyn, lowered his head, and smiled slightly.
He thought, "Lynn, you can care about a stranger like this.
If you knew that Denise was pregnant with your nephew, you must be heartbroken for you."
"Mom, hurry up and eat. Let's go home after this. I'm a little tired." Dominic picked up a big shrimp and ate it. He was really tired after shopping for a day.
"Okay! Dominic, you should eat more. What do you like? I will peel it for you." Marilyn looked at her son with a smile. Looking at his tired little face, she was distressed.
Dominic shook his head, "No need, Mom. Look at my figure. If I continue, I will be fat. Mom, you need to take care of yourself. Don't worry about me. I have grown up now. I can eat well by myself." Dominic said seriously.
His mother was afraid that the three siblings could not get enough food and clothes.
"Alright!" Marilyn nodded and ate gloomily.
Malcolm looked at them and smiled. He felt even more distressed to see their affection for each other.
Margie didn't receive a call from her secretary even if she had waited for a whole day at home.
She couldn't help but make a call.
"Hello! Mitchell, haven't you found it out yet?" Her tone of displeasure filled the room.
"Mrs. Lowe, we failed to find the address of this number after a lot of work."
