Margie glanced at Cameron and asked doubtfully, "Cameron, are you going out this weekend?"
Cameron didn't turn around and replied indifferently.
"This weekend, I'll visit a friend."
Every weekend, Cameron would go out for a day on the grounds of meeting friends. Sometimes, he would not even return at night.
Margie was already in a bad mood. When she saw that Cameron did not even look at her, she became much angrier.
She shouted angrily, "Every Saturday, you will go out and not even come back. Who are you going to visit?"
Cameron had finished putting on his tie. He turned around and looked at Margie, who was hysterical. He frowned and said unhappily, "Margie, can't you be a little gentler? I have to work on weekdays. And I want to see friends on the weekend and relax. Do you even care about this?"
"But you don't need to go every weekend." Margie had doubts in her heart.
She and Cameron were a couple in adversity. She had always been confident in her appearance and believed that Cameron would not betray her.
Cameron usually went to work and didn't have much time to accompany her. Even during the weekend, he only accompanied her for half a day. The rest of his time was spent on work and meeting friends.
"Margie, I have to work hard and socialize. If I don't make friends and sign the contracts, how can I earn the money for you and Sandy to buy luxury goods?
"I am so tired every day, just to satisfy your vanity. I want to go out on the weekend to relax. Are you so against it?
Cameron shouted angrily, picked up his business bag, and left.
The sound of the door closing made Margie jump in fright.
Cameron slammed the door and left. Margie looked at his back and gripped her phone tightly, trembling in anger.
"Cameron, you bastard! I propped up this family step by step. How can you shout at me?" Margie roared angrily and sat on the sofa again.
Her eyes were closed, her slender body leaned against the sofa, and her chest heaved up and down.
Margie suddenly glanced at her phone. She had originally come to talk with Cameron about the text message. But they fought out of anger and she forgot about it completely.
Back then, Cameron was timid. She was the one who drove the car and hit Marilyn. If she told Cameron about this, with his timid personality, he would probably be in big trouble.
Cameron had never allowed her to mention this thing in front of him all this time.
He didn't treat Marilyn well because Marilyn's existence kept reminding him that the Chamberses were criminals.
Margie gradually calmed down. She thought, "I can't panic. Even if I told Cameron about it, he would not be able to solve it. I had better solve it privately on my own."
She picked up her phone and called her secretary, Mitchell Moody.
"Mitchell, help me investigate a phone number. I'll send it to you on Line."
Then, Margie hung up the phone and sent the phone number to Mitchell. She sat in the room and waited for the news anxiously.
She was not afraid of anything, but the matter of Marilyn would destroy the entire Chambers family. Back then, she had passed through the bustling area of Fielddell. The child who appeared there was not simple.
In order to cover up this matter, she did not dare to look through the news about searching for a child.
More than ten years ago, communication was not as developed as it was now. They hid deep in the mountains and forests for a few years and knew nothing about the outside world.
Therefore, Margie had never investigated Marilyn's identity.
Once she investigated, someone would notice her.
This matter was the thing that she feared the most.
Margie tightened her grip on the phone nervously as she waited for Mitchell's call.
Marilyn put on a gray leisure suit and sports shoes and looked young and beautiful.
She would like to go out with Dominic. But when she opened the door, she was instantly dumbfounded.
She wondered, "Why is Malcolm standing here?"
His perfect lips, faint smile, and handsome face were all pleasing to the eyes.
Malcolm brought two large bags of things, including noodles, instant food, and a lot of other things.
He said in a gentle voice, "Lynn, Dominic, good morning!"
"Good morning, Malcolm." Dominic greeted him indifferently.
Marilyn said angrily, "Mr. Lowe, didn't you wake up? You are at the wrong place early in the morning."
Malcolm smiled and said, "Lynn, I was at ease and slept well last night."
She was his dream for the rest of his life. He finally found her. So he could certainly sleep well.
Marilyn was speechless.
Malcolm looked down at the things in his hand, then looked up and smiled wickedly. "Lynn, didn't you say that I ate all your noodles? I will bring you some."
Marilyn could say nothing.
He knew clearly that her words were just an excuse. But he took it seriously.
Malcolm looked at her helpless and pretty face, smiling. He said with an evil gaze, "Lynn, step aside first. I'll bring things in. Dominic said he would eat with me today."
Dominic was speechless, too.
He looked deeply at Malcolm, who was lying in front of him.
"Is it good to lie in front of a child?
When did I promise him?"
Marilyn looked down at Dominic and asked silently, "When did you promise him? Why didn't I know?"
Dominic shrugged his shoulders helplessly at Marilyn.
"I had never promised him."
Seeing that Malcolm insisted on coming in, Marilyn could only make way.
Malcolm looked at her with a faint smile and walked in with his things.
Marilyn and Dominic could only follow in.
Malcolm seemed to have returned to his own home. He put the things on the table, and then put them into the refrigerator.
The refrigerator was originally empty but instantly stuffed full by him. Malcolm thought with satisfaction, "They are enough for several meals.
Lynn, from today onwards, I will be the one to protect you."
She was his childhood sweetheart, as well as his wife. While waiting for her, his love for her became stronger and stronger.
After doing everything, Malcolm turned around and looked at Marilyn and Dominic not far away. He smiled and said, "Lynn, where are we going now?"
Marilyn looked at him and complained in her mind, "I only promised him to treat Dominic to a meal. I didn't mean that he could stay with Dominic for the whole day.
Why is he so free?
As the president of a company, shouldn't he accompany his partners to play golf and socialize during the weekends?
How can he have the time to accompany Dominic and me?"
Marilyn was puzzled, but she could not ask Malcolm directly.
She had not figured out Malcolm's purpose.
She said, "I want to go shopping with Dominic. It's boring. Mr. Lowe, please go back and rest."
Men never liked to go shopping, especially men like Malcolm.
Marilyn said it on purpose.
