Malcolm glanced at Marilyn, who was talking on the phone. He picked up the watch and looked at the familiar patterns on the back. Suddenly his eyes shrank. It was his watch, a custom-made one.
He didn't find it after waking up that day. Obviously, it was taken away by the woman who had been with him that night.
There was also a ring from his mother. He had always cherished it. But it also disappeared that night.
He looked inside the box but did not see the ring.
It turned out that Lynn just put it under a coffee table. She had never wanted to find Dominic's father at all.
Was that night so humiliating for her?
No! Malcolm soon found it was impossible.
He pursed his lips slightly. She was designed by the Chambers family that night. However, she did not feel humiliated by the unexpected pregnancy but worked hard to raise the children.
Malcolm couldn't figure out the answer. He picked up the bowl and drank the soup.
When Marilyn returned, he stood up and looked at her.
The combination of his tall figure and handsome face gave him a sense of nobility whenever he moved, with his charming brows, and deep and sharp eyes. The evil smile on the corners of his mouth was dazzling.
"Lynn, it's too late. I will go back first. You should rest early."
"OK! Take care. I won't see you off." Marilyn nodded, wishing he could leave as soon as possible.
Malcolm raised his eyebrows slightly and deliberately asked, "What? Lynn, you don't want me to leave?"
Marilyn was speechless.
Her big eyes were wide open as she stared at him. Did she show any sign of that?
She could clearly feel that there were words on her face to urge him to leave as soon as possible.
"Mr. Lowe, you haven't full yet, right? How about I make you another bowl of noodles?" Her tone was full of malicious intent, and a trace of craftiness flashed in her eyes.
She really wanted to stuff him, to the point that she needed to call an ambulance for him.
"Alright! I'm still a little bit hungry." Malcolm said, about to sit down.
He really meant it! Marilyn quickly said, "Malcolm, hurry up and leave. There are no more noodles. You've eaten all of them. You should leave now."
Malcolm's lips curved into a devilish smile. She looked really cute when she was anxious.
"Lynn, then I'll buy some tomorrow. See you tomorrow." Malcolm smiled slyly, and then turned around elegantly, very pleased.
Marilyn looked at his back, wanting to smash the bowl on him. He wanted to come tomorrow night!
Malcolm said goodbye to Dominic in the bathroom before he left.
Marilyn looked at his back and blushed with anger.
She tried to play tricks on him but he took them.
Perhaps she would never learn her lesson until making the same mistake again.
He would come back tomorrow! What was he trying to do?
"Mom, wash and sleep," Dominic stood not far away and said.
Marilyn snapped out of her daze, nodded, and walked toward the bathroom.
Under the neon lights, cars came and went.
Malcolm walked back all the way, he felt very happy even if it took a long time.
He had been giggling along the way.
One could only live once. Fortunately, he treasured time, and time also treated him well in return.
After the long simple journey of life, he found the beautiful scenery at the end of it.
Early the next morning, Marilyn woke up early. She got changed and went out after preparing breakfast and finishing it with her son.
After she got changed, she looked for something in her suitcase.
She fumbled for a while and suddenly saw a platinum ring in the corner.
She looked at it with some doubt, and then something bad instantly occurred to her.
But when did she put this ring in her suitcase?
She thought about it and found that she did not take it when she left that night. Now its appearance reminded her of the humiliating thing that night.
Marilyn narrowed her eyes. Since she was back, why not do something?
She was no longer the former Marilyn Chambers. She had now transformed herself.
She thought about it, and then a touch of cunning crossed her beautiful big eyes.
She thought, "Margie, you hit me with your car and made me lose my family. You ruined my life. Now I will let you pay everything back!"
She got up, and a strong hatred appeared on her face.
She glanced at Dominic and found that he was still washing up. She then took out another phone from the interlayer of the suitcase.
Margie had never changed her phone number these years.
She turned on her phone, quickly typed a message, and sent it over.
Roland prepared this SIM card for her. No one could find her information via it. After sending the message, she turned off her phone and put it back in the interlayer.
The Chambers's was as luxurious and noble as seven years ago.
On the weekend, Margie received a message when she was enjoying her breakfast with her family at home and chatted.
She just glanced at it as she thought it was from the service provider. But then she quickly picked up the phone and saw that it was from an unknown number.
"You hit someone and ran. Do you think you can escape?"
Margie trembled in fear because of these simple words. The phone fell on the table and bounced down, making a crisp sound.
Sandra and Brandon looked at her in surprise. Her face was pale and there was obvious fear in her eyes.
Sandra asked doubtfully, "Mom, what's wrong?"
His words pulled Margie back from her daze. A trace of panic appeared on her elegant face as she struggled to pull out a smile, "It's nothing. You guys have breakfast. I didn't hold it steadily."
She slowly lowered her head, picked up the phone on the ground, and then walked upstairs.
As she turned around, her face was filled with worry and fear.
After doing that guilty thing, she had always felt uneasy.
But that happened a few years ago. She had done many bad things, but she still lived a prosperous life. Gradually, she did not believe that she needed to pay the price one day.
However, this strange message reminded her that her happy life was coming to an end.
It must be Marilyn!
No, she knew nothing about what happened back then.
Only the Chamberses knew that.
Who could she be?
Was that woman Marilyn? She looked exactly like Marilyn. Margie did not believe that two persons would look so similar.
Margie returned to the room upstairs, uneasy.
When she opened the door, everything extremely luxurious inside could be seen.
Cameron stood in front of the bright mirror, putting on a tie. Although he was already middle-aged, he looked still handsome with his thick black hair, extremely charming.
