Chapter 75

Ch. 75 / 97 Oct 17, 2025

"I don't want to know," I muttered and the three of us walked out of the interrogation room.

"They in?" Eli asked and walked up to me. "They're in."

"Beth spoke to Penny and Max, they're in," Eli said. "So's Hampson. Tom persuaded Carter and Noah as well."

"Who's left?"

"Blake and Kent."

I sighed and took a step forward.

"Princess, you don't have to talk to either of them," Eli said and caught my wrist.

"I'll talk to Blake alone," I said. "And we'll both talk to Kent."

"Are you sure?"

"No," I said. "Now, where's Blake's room?"

Eli's hand stayed round my wrist and he pulled me down the corridor. "Daisy." Eli stopped me. "About Kent... I'm perfectly fine with leaving him locked up."

I smirked. "I would love to, but we need everyone we can get."

"Do we really need him?" Eli muttered.

"I should be the one saying that," I scoffed. "You may have to hold me back when we talk to him."

"I may let you go," Eli said and I rolled my eyes.

"Wish me luck?"

Eli's eyes locked with mine. "Good luck, princess," he said and I walked into the room Blake was in.

Blake looked up immediately when I entered. He didn't look worried or scared, he seemed very calm.

"Hey," I said softly and closed the door behind me. "Something's happened, Blake."

"You said you'd speak to me tomorrow," Blake said, watching me with cold eyes. "Before you went for a run you said we could speak tomorrow. You were planning on running away. You were going to run again. Without saying goodbye. You were just going to leave?"

"If I said goodbye then you wouldn't let me get that far," I said and sat down opposite him.

"What the fuck happened to us, Daisy?" Blake snapped. "You've drifted-"

"No, you treated me like shit. You had me tortured, you didn't care about what I actually wanted, as long as it benefitted the Agency-"

"Daisy, you have no fucking idea how much I care about you!" Blake yelled, pulling at the cuffs that trapped him to the table.

"If you care about me then you're going to shut the hell up and listen to me," I said and raised an eyebrow. "Can you manage that?"

"I was forgetting what a bitch you were," Blake muttered.

"I didn't forget what a dick you were," I shrugged and placed the key to his cuffs on the table in front of us. "I know you're used to being in charge, but that changes today."

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm going to tell you something about Rob. You're not going to like it. Rob sees you like a son, Blake. Sometimes I thought he would rather have adopted you than me," I said and rolled my eyes.

"I know Rob wasn't an angel, Daisy," Blake said. "Spit it out, what the fuck is going on."

"The blood tests that this Agency did on me. I found out the results."

"You're not Richard's niece you're his daughter," Blake said.

I froze. "What?"

"I knew they were brothers. Rob told me before the mission started. I thought you were his adopted niece. Until I saw Jasper and a picture of Richard's late wife. Then I realised Rob was lying."

"You knew!" I gasped and stood up. "You fucking knew! What the fuck, Blake! How long did you know!"

"Ive only known for certain for a few days. I was going to tell you, but then you said you'd speak to me tomorrow- when you were planning on running away," Blake said.

"What else did Rob tell you?" I demanded.

"Rob told me that he and Richard formed the Agency together, but Richard got overwhelmed by the power. He said Richard split off and made another Agency. One that was corrupt-"

"Bullshit. Rob kidnapped me. When I was a child Rob kidnapped me and raised me as his own. Rob is the corrupt son of a bitch, not Richard."

"You don't even know Richard."

"I already know he's better than Rob! Not one of us have been tortured, if Rob was in charge all of us would be bloody and beaten by now. Rob was a shit dad, and he wasn't even my dad! At least Richard wants me, I wasn't even sure that Rob ever wanted me-"

"Daisy, you can't uncuff me yet," Blake cut me off.

"Because your loyalties are with Rob," I said and scoffed. "Of course."

"If you uncuff me I'll be forced to try and take you down," Blake said. "I need some time to think this through."

I picked the key up and sat back down. "Let me finish telling you everything I've found out and then you can reconsider your loyalties, Blake."

"What happened?"

"Exactly what I expected," I said as I walked out of the room Blake was in. "He's taking time to think it through."

"What-"

"Let's move on to Kent," I said."

"Daisy-"

"I don't want to talk about it-"

"Daisy-"

"No."

"Daisy!" Eli yelled and I looked at him. "Are you okay?"

"No," I said. "I'm not."

"What did Blake tell you?"

"He knew Richard and Rob were brothers," I said. "He lied to us about that, what else could he lie about?"

Eli paused and ran his fingers through his hair. "Shit," he breathed.

"Shit indeed," I nodded. "Let's just get this done and then I'm going to need a drink."

Eli placed his hand on my back and led me to the next room where Kent was.

"About time," Kent called as we entered. "I could hear you yelling at Blake, I was wondering when you were going to talk to me."

"I don't want to be in here," I snapped. "But we need you."

"Why?" Kent asked and raised an eyebrow.

"We're taking down Rob."

Kent watched me carefully. "There's only one reason why you would turn against your own father. You must've found out."

I opened my mouth but Eli stopped me. "Found out what?" Eli asked.

"The night she nearly died. It was a planned attack," Kent shrugged.

I froze.

"Planned?"

"By Rob himself."

I stumbled back and looked at Kent in shock. "N-no. You're lying-"

"Daisy, we don't get along but why would I lie about that? You're not worth my time. I wouldn't spend time coming up with a lie about that," Kent scoffed.

"Explain yourself, Kent," Eli growled.

"I overheard Rob talking about it so I did some snooping and found out that Rob contacted the guy who raped Daisy. Rob paid him a hell of a lot of money to do what he did. Although, I didn't think he intended on you getting stabbed. Rob knew you would want to get revenge. He knew once you killed again you'd be more likely to do missions again. He knew after you'd kill one man it would reignite the killer inside you. He'd get you back as an agent."

"He wanted you on this mission. He knew you'd get into this Agency because of who you are. He needed you to help bring this Agency down because you'd be accepted into it so easily," Eli said. "That's why he did that, to make sure you'd come on this mission."

"I think I'm going to be sick," I blurted and ran out of the room.

My mind was racing. I stumbled through the corridors of the Agency with no idea where I was going.

I just needed to go somewhere.

Get out.

Somehow I found a door that led outside and I leaned against a brick wall as I puked up my stomach. I gasped and wiped my mouth.

"God," I groaned.

"Daisy."

I felt arms support me as I stumbled and I looked up at Jasper. "I'm fine-"

"I heard," Jasper said. "I was listening."

I swallowed and I felt tears in my eyes. "It's his fault I was r-r-" I choked on my words. "He's the fucking reason I died! The fucking bastard! I'm going to kill him. I'm going to fucking destroy him. I'm-"

"Daisy, you need to stop talking. I think you're in shock," Jasper said and placed his hands on either side of my face and tilted my head up to look at him. "I know this is the last thing you want to hear, but you need to fucking calm down."

"I..." The world around me swayed slightly. "I think I'm going to faint."

Bile rising in my throat woke me up and I stumbled out of bed. I grabbed the small metal bin that sat in the corner of my room and retched until I puked up the small amount of food that was left in my stomach.

"Jesus," I muttered and wiped my mouth. I sighed and stood up straight, running my fingers through my greasy hair. "What-" I paused and looked around.

I was in my room at the house.

I looked out the window and saw Jasper's house. The sun was shining brightly and the sky was a clear blue.

"What the fuck?"

I realised I was still in the clothes that I was in when Jasper took me to the Agency.

How long had I been asleep?

I immediately yanked my door open and stumbled my way downstairs. Lilly was sitting on one of the stairs reading a book and I stared at her for a few moments before rushing past her.

"Eli," I whispered and scanned each room for his blond hair. "Eli! Eli!"

"Jheeze no need to yell, sweetcheeks," Mason called as he walked out of the kitchen with a RedBull in his hands.

"Mason!" I gasped. "What the fuck is going on?"

"Nothing," Eli called and I span round so fast I should've got whiplash. Eli was descending the stairs. "Nothing is going on."

"Somebody better tell me what the fuck is happening and I swear if you speak in any sort of stupid riddles I'm going to rip out your hair and suffocate you with it," I warned. Mason took a step back but Eli walked up to me. He stopped centimetres from me and looked down.

"How are you feeling, princess?" He asked lowly.

"Fucking confused!"

"Better hurry up and explain before she suffocates you!" Mason called and walked off, leaving Eli and me alone.

"C'mon," Eli said and took my wrist and took me to the soundproof room in the house. "We're going on as normal, until we come up with a plan. A good plan that will end this once and for all. We're going to pretend that we're spying on the other Agency like we should be doing. No one will question it. Rob will assume everything is normal." Eli paused and looked at me cautiously.

"I never wanted to kill someone so badly," I said slowly. "I want to make him suffer."

"He will."

"I want to kill my dad. That's sick."

"He's not your dad."

"But he is my blood," I muttered. "After all these years of me throwing that in his face. That we weren't blood related. We were all along."

"Forget about him. He's not your family."

"What about Adam," I said, suddenly remembering him. "Shit, how could we forget about him-"

"Daisy, calm it, we've handled it."

"What?"

"We're not telling him anything," Eli shrugged. "I didn't want to take the risk and tell him, we have no idea who his loyalties lie with truly. Blake and I were in charge of this mission, Adam was only for extra support and guidance if needed, only in worse case scenarios. He won't be a problem."

"Do you think he knew?" I wondered.

"I bloody hope not," Eli sighed and I looked down at my hands, biting nervously on my lip. "Princess?" Eli gently cupped my cheek and tilted my head up. "You need to know that Blake isn't here."

I closed my eyes. "He's on Rob's side. Even after what he did to me-"

"No," Eli said. "Blake owes a lot to Rob. Rob basically saved his life and Blake is just having a hard time dealing with all this information-"

"He's having a hard time! HE is having a hard time? What about me! The fucking ass! So what Rob saved him! Big fucking whoop! You'd think after finding out your bloody saviour paid someone to assault his daughter that isn't his daughter instead she's his niece that he kidnapped, you'd think he'd have a slight change of heart! How can Blake-"

"He's not on Rob's side. He's not on our side. He told me he couldn't be trusted to lie. To pretend. And while Blake isn't completely with us he doesn't want to risk our safety. He told me to leave him at the Agency to prevent him getting the chance to warn our Agency about us if he ever got the slightest urge to do so. By not being here he's protecting us. Protecting you."

"He doesn't give a flying fuck about me-"

"He does," Eli said surely. "Princess, you have no idea how many people there are that care about you."

"Bullshit," I scoffed.

"He loves you. He sees you as family."

"That's disgusting, I've had sex with him," I said bluntly.

Eli stiffened, but he ignored what I said. "He's not the only one that loves you."

I rolled my eyes and stood up from the couch that we had taken a seat on. "Don't say that. You know I'm not one for feelings," I said dismissively.

"Neither am I, but I am one for the truth," Eli said and caught my wrist.

I raised an eyebrow at Eli, waiting for him to say something.

"And truth is, princess, I've been wanting to do something for so fucking long," he said lowly.

"What?"

"This." I gasped when Eli pulled me back onto the couch and crashed his lips to mine.

I froze.

Eli was kissing me.

Eli's lips left mine and I looked at him with wide eyes. "Shit, princess, I thought-"

I placed my finger over Eli's lips. "This room... is it definitely soundproof?"

"...Yes?"

I lowered my finger. "Good. Now kiss me again."
