(Day 70/122 of the experiment)
I woke up feeling exhausted. It's clear that in recent days I have been overwhelmed with social interactions. Dancing, Nick, the hall, filming, Instagram – I was spreading myself thin everywhere, giving a part of my soul. Now it's time to restore my strength.
I thought about going to the sauna to relieve my body and mind. But then I realized that today I didn't even want to leave the house. So, I decided to arrange a spa day at home. By the way, Daryna told me that after every shoot she needs two or three days to recover. First of all, you work on camera and it can be draining. Secondly, there are many people around you – operators, lighting technicians, the director – unfamiliar faces who watch and listen to you. Thirdly, any work in front of a large audience can be quite exhausting.
I filled the bathtub, lit an aroma candle, took out a bath bomb that I had bought quite a while ago but hadn't had the chance to use, turned on classical music, and immersed myself in a world of relaxation and freeing my mind from thoughts.
After a hot soak, I did a face mask, put on special socks and gloves soaked in moisturizing cream, brewed myself some cocoa, and spent the whole day in bed. What could be better than such a rest?
And for the first time in many weeks, I took a daytime nap! I was so relaxed that my eyes slowly started to close by themselves. And I didn’t deny myself this – I just dozed off for 20 minutes.
The evening was no less perfect – ice cream, cozy bed, a women’s romance with a charming actor, and Richard.
How important it is to sometimes disconnect from the outside world and take time for yourself.
(Day 71/122 of the experiment)
Today began as usual, early. A run, a short dialogue with Richard (he was telling me something loudly, but unfortunately, I don't understand cat), hot coffee, and planning the day.
To be honest, I'm already a bit tired of resting and sitting around without work. I want to do something, and most importantly – help people. I don’t really know how I can be of use, but the desire is enormous.
Today, I've planned to go to the gym, do some stretching, and practice vocals. After all the activities, I want to go to a café and read a book. Oh, and also think about how I can benefit society.
The workout turned out to be very fruitful – my body rested and is ready to work at full capacity. During my vocal session, I realized that I have quite a range – the teacher said that not many people reveal themselves like this at the beginning; many need at least five to seven lessons to develop their voice.
Happy, I went to the café, opened my notebook, and began to observe people. How could I be useful to such interesting and diverse personalities? Generally, what can a person who has no family and only truly started to live at almost 30 years old, thanks to a pact made with a friend, give to others?
While I sipped my cappuccino with cheesecake and pondered the global goal of my life, a young woman approached me, looking about 35.
- "Good afternoon! Cinderella, sorry to interrupt your coffee. My name is Victoria, and I've been following you on Instagram for a while."
- "Good afternoon! Nice to meet you! Please, have a seat; I have a little time." – I said, still without any ideas on how I could help people, but maybe I would at least spend my time interestingly.
- "Oh, thank you so much! I came over just to say a huge 'thank you' for your blog. I first learned about you from an interview. I became interested and followed you on Instagram. At that time, I was going through a really tough period in my life – I had just divorced my husband and didn’t know how to go on. I read all your posts and started to believe in myself."
- "That’s great! You’re doing an amazing job!"
- "It’s all thanks to you. I’ve lost five kilograms, started going to the gym, and began studying English. I’ve been corresponding with an Englishman for a week now; he will soon come to the big city – he’s a teacher at a university and will be teaching here as part of an exchange program."
- "I’m so, so happy that I helped you believe in yourself!"
- "Yes, all these changes in my life are thanks to you! If it weren't for your blog, I would still be crying at home, thinking I was worthless. Can I give you a hug?"
- "Of course!"
Viktoria and I chatted for about another hour, and then she hurried off to her English class. In return, I realized – maybe my life’s goal is to inspire people to make changes? Yes, I’m certainly not a psychologist and cannot advise anything specific. But if at least ten people can believe in themselves following my example, then I am not living in vain.
On my way home, I reflected on how I could transform my experience and desire to help people into something concrete.
