(Day 86/122 of the experiment)
Two weekend days have passed, and I am ready to dive back into active life. Tomorrow, I will conduct my first online training session in my life. I've already watched a ton of videos on how to hold myself confidently in front of the camera, how to articulate properly, and how to behave so that the audience understands not only what the speaker is saying but also what he is conveying through his behavior.
But I haven't forgotten about another matter – for the next two weeks, I need to work on my personal life. So, like a true woman on the lookout, I'm downloading a dating app on my phone.
I fill out my profile – choosing the most beautiful photo (I picked one from a photo shoot for a newspaper), detailing my hobbies and my requirements for the man of my dreams. Now, photos of men are displayed before me, and I have to "swipe" left or right – depending on whether I like the guy or not.
After 20 minutes of scrolling through photos, I realized that there wasn't a single man resembling Tristan in this app. And it's no surprise – he is the man of my dreams. By the way, Tristan has probably already returned from London. He hasn't written or called – perhaps the magic has worn off, and everything that seemed so romantic back then really isn't.
Right after I put down my phone and was about to meditate, it rang. A notification from that same dating app.
Artem, 37 years old
Hi! Why don’t you show your real photo and name? Are you afraid someone might recognize you?
What? An unreal photo and name? Alright, one could take the photo as a compliment – people think I’m some kind of star, not an ordinary lonely woman. But the name…
Forgetting all my tasks, I spent an hour proving to this completely unfamiliar person the reality of my name and photo. Meanwhile, another guy messaged me.
Ihor, 30 years old
Hi! You are very beautiful. Mind if we get to know each other?
I check out this guy's profile. 30 years old, divorced, has two cats. He enjoys fishing and relationship psychology. Works as a driving instructor.
Well, all his photos are decent (and that’s very important on dating platforms – you can believe someone who, in 20 minutes, has seen more naked men than in her entire life before this). While I was proofreading the presentation for tomorrow's speech, I discussed standard topics like literature, movies, and cats with Ihor. And when the man suggested going for coffee, of course, I agreed.
I spent the rest of the evening in the company of my online assistant, adjusting the computer's position, the lighting – we resolved all organizational issues to avoid problems tomorrow.
(Day 87/122 of the experiment)
I slept surprisingly well last night. After all, I'll be performing at home in front of the computer, and the audience knows me – all the participants are my long-time subscribers. Plus, when you post photos and videos on social media every day, you feel more relaxed in front of the camera.
I started my morning with a run and workout, then headed into the city for breakfast. I craved a croissant with hot latte so much that I couldn't resist this temptation. After a leisurely coffee, I went to the beauty salon. I thought, and decided, that even in front of a laptop camera, it's important to look good; besides, it helps me feel more confident.
I love it when professionals work their magic on me! In those moments, I feel like a diamond being cut. And most importantly – there are no drastic changes in appearance. The girls only emphasize what nature has already given. And although the 20 days of leisure officially ended, I promised myself that I would take a makeup course soon. After all, it’s so cool to be able to make myself more beautiful at home, without external help.
My webinar went so well and smoothly! Even at the moment when the microphone stopped working and the sound was off, the participants fully supported me and waited while I rebooted the computer. The time allocated for questions gradually turned into a time for praise. The women expressed their impressions, admiration for my blog, my changes, and the information I provided during the presentation. Many had one question – when would I create a full-fledged course for transforming my life? To transfer my experience into a system that I could teach and monitor its implementation. Promising that I would think about it, I concluded the meeting.
My emotions were so overwhelming that I just couldn't stop at the presentation alone. So, I held a free two-hour live session on Instagram. Only after that did I allow myself to rest a bit.
And my evening was brightened by my favorite homemade pasta, the eternal classic – the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's," and Richard, who happily helped me finish the sausage.
(Day 84/122 of the experiment)
Two days of rest – that's what I decided yesterday when I finished conducting the training. The last days were too intense – preparation, planning, creating the presentation, rehearsing in front of the mirror at home. I was exhausted. Moreover, in 3 days, I have a scheduled online training for which 60 women have already signed up.
I woke up at 10:00 and decided to take a little walk – fresh air is good for both emotional state and health. At 12, I had a call with the social media specialist who helps me organize the training. After 20 minutes of conversation, I got permission from Nina for a two-day relaxation. No need to buy cookies, no need to fuss over the hall – that's settled.
When my brain was tired from reading a book, I checked my Instagram – for the first time since yesterday. Everywhere were my photos, someone posted a short video from the presentation, someone else posted a picture of my autograph. But the most important thing – all the participants were thrilled. I have never read or heard so many positive comments directed at me. After all, I am living for a reason.
Among hundreds of messages were also "hellos" from my parents, Nick, and Daryna. They congratulated me and wished me success in my new endeavor.
The rest of the day was spent on the sofa, watching a series and cuddling with Richard.
(Day 85/122 of the experiment)
To get into the working rhythm tomorrow, I decided to have one last day of total relaxation today. So after waking up and taking a shower, I called a taxi and headed into the city.
I started my morning with a fragrant tuna croissant and a huge cup of cappuccino. Slowly nibbling on the pastry, I savored every moment. The warm coffee gradually awakened my body. I deliberately sat at a table on the second floor of the café (it's not exactly a second floor, but a small terrace above the main hall – that's how I would describe it) and watched the large stream of people rushing in for takeaway coffee before work. Some were angry and arguing with their boss, some were buying two coffees to delight a beloved girlfriend. And I was just sitting there and enjoying life. After 40 minutes of reflection, I realized I was starting to run late. After all, I had a spa day – at the salon that Lilia once took me to.
A full package: sauna, body massage, back and legs, jacuzzi, chocolate wrap, sleep in the aroma room, and finally an hour in the salt room, and I'd be as good as new.
To avoid wasting time on dinner preparation and not stressing out today, I bought a hot pizza on the way home and went to Rich.
The perfect weekend evening – when your beloved cat is purring by your side, you’re munching on delicious pizza, and “Sex and the City” is on TV.
After chatting a bit on Instagram with my followers, I went to bed earlier than usual – my body was so relaxed that all I wanted was to lie down.
