(Day 82/122 of the experiment)
All night, I laid out cookies and coffee cups in the "Benefit" hall. I don't know if it's true that a foolish person sleeps – a foolish dream comes, or if I'm just overly worried about forgetting anything, since I'll be buying goodies and everything for the coffee break today. Susan said she would help me.
After taking a walk along my favorite route – to the pond and through the forest home – I meditated, had breakfast, drank coffee, posted on Instagram, and started getting ready. I arranged a lesson in public speaking with my vocal teacher. We will be focusing on clear diction using the super-express method.
Thanks to effective time management, I still made it to stretching. So, quickly getting ready, I tossed my workout clothes into my bag and headed to the city.
Due to my own fears about tomorrow's event, my body felt stiff and utterly reluctant to stretch, making the session quite challenging. But the state afterward – fantastic!
The torture for my body didn't end with physical exercises. For an hour and a half, I twisted my tongue with phrases like "bup типтап-та-вуп типтап-та-гуп типтап-та-зуп типтап-та,” “dir-di-dir-ya-dir-dro-dir-dryo” – all to speak clearly and confidently tomorrow.
Susan was waiting for me near the singing studio and even bought me a cappuccino – how lucky I am with friends! I think that shopping for goodies together will be much easier than if I were doing it all alone.
We purchased four huge bags of coffee, tea, cookies, fruits, candies, and water for tomorrow. Oh, and a giant pack of napkins too. I hope I didn’t forget anything when I was making the shopping list. And I hope there will be enough for everyone.
At home, I performed my beauty rituals, lay in the bath, applied various creams to my face and body, listened to classical music, and began mentally preparing for the training. There were about ten messages from the girls on Instagram, saying they can’t wait for tomorrow.
(Day 83/122 of the experiment)
Surprisingly, I slept peacefully. I think the credit goes to the mint tea and the valerian tablet. Because yesterday, when my body began to tremble as if in the cold, I was scared that nothing would come of it. What kind of lecturer can’t manage their nerves? Right – a bad one. And I definitely don’t want to be that.
After my morning run, I cooked myself oatmeal and plastered my face with patches in hopes of looking fresh and beautiful. After all the manipulations and morning rituals, I called a taxi and headed to my beauty fairies.
Light foundation, bright eyes with little cat eyes, bright red lipstick, and effortless curls. Plus, a strict but not too strict black dress, and I'm ready to conquer this world! In two hours, I transformed from just a pretty young woman into a real bombshell! So, this is my first rule of success – if you want to conquer the world, first conquer yourself.
I arrived at “Benefis” two hours before the start. Alexander (the building owner) helped set up the projector; then I began to arrange cups, water, and cookies when the doors opened. God, am I really not going to make it?
I turned around and saw my friends – Sveta and Lilia with a huge bouquet, a bottle of champagne, and a box with a ribbon.
-No, come on, do you think we could miss this? The first performance of Cinderella!!! You’re mistaken! – Lilia almost shouted with excitement.
-God, girls, I’m so touched! – I stood with my mouth open in surprise, trying not to cry – these two support me like no one else. This is probably what true friendship is.
-We just transferred the money for participating in the training to your card. And Sasha said the day before yesterday that he would bring two extra chairs. So now I’ll count – there should be 30. – Sveta said with a proud look.
When I thought that the day of my triumph – the day when Darina published my interview, I was very wrong. The best day of my life is today!
Thirty women believed in me, entrusted me with their life stories, problems, and troubles. I felt like a superstar – I was gifted a bunch of bouquets, gifts, and many brought letters and postcards with wishes of success. Each participant took a photo with me and said that it was I who was her main inspiration and motivator.
And when everyone dispersed and only my friends remained, we started cleaning up the treats and packing the gifts. The door opened, and a young man entered with a huge bouquet.
-Good afternoon! I need Cinderella.
-Good evening. Yes, that's me.
-Please, this is for you. – and he handed me the bouquet and a tiny box with some jewelry.
The bouquet of seven blue hydrangeas was the most beautiful I had ever seen. Inside was a note.
Cinderella, my dear, shine like a true star! I’m always nearby – even when very far away.
T.
The same signature as on Instagram – it was Tristan. Cautiously, I opened the box and saw a pair of incredibly beautiful earrings. They were shaped like stars with a sprinkling of tiny stones (as it turned out later – diamonds).
-I’m sorry, I told him the address of the hall. – Lilia said softly.
But I was happy. The man I’m in love with had almost expressed his love for me. How cool is that! I opened Instagram and wrote a short letter to Tristan, thanking him and saying that I was looking forward to our meeting.
After cleaning up, my friends and I squeezed into a taxi (which was not easy, considering the number of bouquets and gifts) and went to my house. The evening ended with champagne and cheerful girl talks.
