He is not doing all of this because he loves me, he just doesn't want to loose me to Ace like his other girls. I glance at Asher with my eyes and mouth wide open in shock.
"Do you think..."
"I don't think honey, that is what is there. He is doing this because of his undying love for you, he just doesn't want to loose you to Ace"
"I hate him!"
"And it will interested you to know that Sophia is his cousin"
"Yeah" He says nodding.
"Wow"
"So now there's two ways to look at this. It's either his cousin begged him to get you back so that you don't stand a chance with Ace or he doesn't want to loose you to Ace"
"I know Seven, he's a selfish strut. There is no way he'd be doing this cousin. He just doesn't want to loose to Ace. It's all about his ego"
"I'm glad this conclusion comes from you"
"Wow Asher, you are indeed a brilliant lawyer"
"That's why I'm the best in the country and don't worry about Seven, I'll make sure he never disturbs you again"

I ask giving him a curious look and he gives me a brief glance and then looks back at the road.
"Because you are pregnant with his child"
"Even so, It's just pregnancy"
"Come in Luna, I'm not blind neither am I a naïve five year-old boy. Ace is at the verge of falling for you, that's if he hasn't already. I see the way he cares for you. That day I rushed you to the hospital, I saw the joy in his eyes when I told him it was his right to do the echography with you. You stand a big chance and if Sophia is not careful, you will kick her out of the picture"
"I don't want to do that, that'll make me a home wrecker, a fiancé snatcher"
"Don't worry, I won't let that happen. I am going to marry you Luna. Mark my words" He says seriously and all I can do is smile and blush.
Then I remember that I would've been his wife if not for our mothers.
"Do you know that our fathers wanted us to get married when I turned eighteen"
"I'm still mad at both our mums for sabotaging that arrangement" He says smiling.
"You knew"
"I ordered for your engagement ring that same night my father told me about it"
"You already loved me by then?"
"I have loved you from the first day I set my eyes on you. You were about fifteen, your mother brought you over to our house to visit my mum. You looked so beautiful in that plain white fitting gown you wore and you had these ribbons all over your hair. Totally girlish. I remember running into my bedroom and locking myself up until you left"
"No you didn't!" I say laughing and he joins me.
"Every time I remember my reaction that day, I laugh so hard. I was such a coward, I should've said something"
"Something like...?"
"Just anything, like "Hi" or "Hello" or even told you how beautiful you looked. I just had to run and hide. Not like I was some teenager, I was twenty for crying out loud, I had to say something" He laments and I laugh harder.
"Asher" I call the moment I stop laughing.
"Yes wifey"
"Thank you"
"For what?"
"For all this, the love, the concern. I don't deserve it"
"You do, so just sit back, relax and let me spoil you"
"Ugh, the only thing I want to be spoiled with right now is food. I'm famished" I say as I rest my head on the head rest and close my eyes. Today has been quite dramatic. It's like the universe is against me having lunch. First was at the lounge, Sophia showed up before I could even start eating. Ace and I had to leave and then at my place, I was already putting the first scoop of spinach in my mouth when Asher barged in and took me away. What is going to happen next?
"I will give you all the food you want once we get home"
"I can't wait"
"You look stressed out, have some rest. When we arrive I will let you know"
"Okay" I close my eyes and in no time, I fall asleep.
ACE'S POV
I am nothing but a hopeless romantic. I just started a fire and if I am not careful, it will consume me. I told Luna I was going to fix this. Truth be told, I don't know how to go about it. I didn't even see this coming. I only wanted to take responsibility for my actions, I only wanted to be there for my unborn child, but right now things have gotten way out of hand.
I have not only gotten attached to my unborn child but I have gotten attached to Luna too. This is so messed up.
My wedding is coming up in a few months time and here I am, falling deeply in love with another woman. This is the kind of news that will drive my mother insane. She is hell bent on getting Sophia and I married.
Now that the press has already gotten involved in this issue, I'm sure she's raging right now. I am even surprised that she hasn't called me yet. I am so confused and I really need someone to talk to. I wish Alaric was here, he would know exactly what to say to me.
The elevator opens up and I step and walk to my office door, I've got a pile of work waiting for me on my desk. I open the door and walk in and I almost faint when I see Alaric sitting on a sofa in the sitting area, sipping wine.
"Alaric!" I call excitedly as I walk towards him , he sits up from the sofa and he engulfs me in a bone crushing hug.
I can't thank God enough for sending him to me during this very crucial moment of my life.
"Bro!, I have missed you bro"
"Please tell me you are back for good"
"Lucky for you, I am"
"Thank God!" I say as I take the glass of wine he is sipping and empty it's content.
"How is everything going on over there?"
"Well, I managed to settle the dispute between Gerard and Mike, they now cooperate and run the company like they should"
"Big bro!"
"You can say that again" He says proudly.
"You are all over the internet and news papers, what kind of mess did you get yourself into while I was away?"
"Trust me, it's not as bad as the internet and the press makes it seem"
"Really bro?, having a baby mama and fiancé is as bad as it sounds. How do you even go about handling them?"
"I don't know, I mean I thought I could but as the days go by, I see things taking a different dimension. A dimension that can bring a lot of chaos"

I have been nothing but worried and frustrated about the problems that will arise along the way, but now that Alaric is here, problems turn to pixie dust and float away!
