ACE'S POV

Until this moment, I still can't process what I did with Sophia last night.
I still cannot believe that Sophia and I had sex. Everything happened so fast. One minute I was fine and taking my bath and the next minute I felt like I was on fire and my dick was as hard as basalt. The kind of sexual urge I felt last night was not ordinary, it's like I was being controlled. Sophia only worsened the issue when she showed up in my bedroom with a see-through nightgown beneath which she was completely naked. I couldn't control my urge and before I knew it we were already on my bed.
I had sworn to stay loyal to Luna, I told her I was going to call off the wedding. If this news gets to her she's going to be very angry and disappointed in me. It might even strain things between us and that's the last thing I want to happen.
I didn't even tell Sofia about my intentions of calling off the wedding, she was long gone when I woke up.
This is not good at all.
I can feel it.
This is going to cause a big problem between Luna and I when she finds out. I tried calling her this morning but her phone was switched off, I suppose she was still asleep.
I honestly don't know what to expect.
Suddenly, my office door is yanked open and I see a very furrow Kyle walk into my office with my secretary rushing behind and trying to stop him.
"I'm very sorry Mr. Ace, he didn't ....."
Before I can even understand what's going on, I feel Kyle's fist connect with my left jaw, taking me off guard and I stagger for a while before I regain my balance, but he doesn't let me gain my balance as he gives another punch on the other jaw and this time around I fall down.
"Security! Security!" My secretary calls as she rushes out of my office. Kyle walks closer to me but I don't let him punch me again, I use my left leg to push him away with all my might and when he stagger backwards, I use that opportunity to swiftly get on my feet. I touch my lips and when I look at my hand I see blood on it. "The fuck Kyle! What's all this madness?"
"Madness you say? I'll show you what real madness is" He charges once more towards me and stretches out his right arm to give another punch but I swiftly block it with my left hand and punch him hard with my right first across his left cheek. That causes his mouth to bleed.
"Jesus Christ Kyle! Why are we fighting?" I am totally confused and security guards come rushing into my office. "Nobody touches him!" I warn.
"Mr. Ace! He's causing a scene..."
"Out everyone!" I order and they all exit the office. "Kyle, what is it that we can't settle amicably like the grown ups we are? Do we really have to throw punches like teenagers?" I ask calmly.
"You!" He says panting and I can see anger burning in his eyes. Kyle is very angry but the frustrating thing is that I don't know what I have done to spark up such anger in him. "Backstabbing people is all you are ever good at. I thought we were even but after seeing what you just did, I can feel all the hatred I ever had for you surge back into me a hundred times stronger. You are nothing but a narcissistic backstabbing wanker!"
"Kyle I will not have you insult me again if you don't tell me what my offense is"
"Do I really need to tell you?, You confess your undying love for my sister and that same night you have sex with the woman you claim you do not love and do not want to marry. Do you know what that has cost my sister?"
"What happened to Luna?" I asked, alarmed.
"Luna is in the hospital fighting for her life and that of your baby's right now!"
"No! no !" I lament as tears start spilling down my cheeks.
"If anything should happen to my sister or that child she's carrying, I swear to God Ace I will bring you down. Mark my words!" He says as he storms out of my office and bangs the door hard behind him.
My head is spinning like a roller coaster. I take off the tux jacket that's making me hot and sweaty and fling towards the sitting area not caring if it lands on a couch or not. I pace around my office and all that's on my mind are Kyle's words. Luna is in the hospital and right now she is fighting for her life. This cannot be happening. I struggle to roll up the sleeves of my white shirt with trembling hands and when I'm done, I pick up my phone, wallet and car keys and bolt out of my office. I know exactly which hospital she has been admitted in.
Once I step into the outpatient ward, everyone turns to look at me with judging eyes. Everyone, as in every. Luna's mother, Alora, Kyle and Asher.
"After all what you have done," she says in tears as she walks closer to me "You have the nerve to show up here? How dare you! She asks and a dirty slap follows. What the fuck is wrong with mums these days?
Yesterday was my mum and now it's Mrs. Angelis.
Why are they always so hot tempered?
"I didn't mean for any of this to happen"
"I don't care, what I know is that you will never see Luna again. Ever!"
"That can't happen, she's carrying my unborn child"
"That is no guarantee. I want you to leave now and never show yourself to her again"
"I'm afraid I can't do that, I'm sorry" I turn to look at Kyle and if looks could kill, I will be six feet now, but I'm not squeamish. Nine of them in here can make me feel intimidated or afraid. I am going to see Luna and my word stands. Even if I have to fight my way into that ward, I would.
They can't stop me.
I turn to look at Asher and he has a very blank expression and Alora is sobbing in his arms.
He is not the type to talk when everyone else is talking. I know what he has in store for me is intense, but I don't care. Even if he files a restraining order against me, I will violate all those rules. After all, I'm Ace Damon Cole, the most powerful bachelor in this nation.
Where their powers end, that's where mine starts.
We all wait insolence for about an hour before a Doctor comes to meet us. Kyle and Mrs. Angelis rush towards him.
"Doctor, How's my daughter?"
"You all need to calm down, she's out of danger, both her and the baby are doing just well" The doctor explains and I let out a heavy sigh of relief. They are both okay.
"For real?"
"Yes, Mrs. Angelis"
"Can we see her now?" Kyle asks eagerly.
"Yes you can, please come with me" They all follow him, except Asher who walks over to me instead.
"If you have plans of filing a restraining order against me, drop it. You know it won't work for me"
"I don't need to do that because it's certain that Luna alone will restrict you from seeing her. You've not only broken her heart Ace, you have broken her trust and it will take a miracle for things to go back to normal between the two of you"
"Why don't you just say what it is that you want to say?"
"Let the best man win" He says with a smirk as he shoves both hands in his pocket and majestically walks away.
Why is the entire universe against Luna and I being together?
Just when I thought things were finally starting to move smoothly, Sophia decided to drop another bomb.
Speaking of Sophia, after this, I'm going to pay her a very nice visit.
I open the door to the ward and step into the room. Everyone turned to look at me with the same judging eyes.
"Luna" I call and the moment she looks at me, her gaze darkens and I can sense that she's angry. "What is he doing here?" She asks furiously.
"Babe I can explain"
"Someone get this backstabber out of here before I lose my mind" She screams and Kyle charges towards me.
"Kyle I swear to God one finger on me and that will be the end of you" I warn with a deadly tone
"I quiver in fear" He mocks but I just ignore him and walk towards the bed.
"Don't you dare come close to me" Luna warns in rage
"Luna it's not what it seems, I can explain"
"I don't want to listen to any more lies from you. The fact still stands that you had sex with the woman you claim not to love. Just leave me the hell alone Ace. Get out!" she screams and I stop on my tracks.
"Babe I'm sorry " I say in a hushed voice and she turns to Asher.
"Please make him leave, I might pass out if I set my eyes on him One more time."
"Ace you heard the lady, now's not the right time. You need to leave!" Ace warns and I swallow hard as I look at her baby bump.
This is not how I am going to lose them.
Asher cannot take Luna away from me.
I am going to make things right again. Luna is going to be mine again.
That I swear.
I turn around to leave but she calls me again. "Ace" I stop on my tracks and turn to look at her hoping that has changed her mind. "Don't call me anymore, the only time I want to see you around me is during the prenatal cheek up. Anything we ever had is history now and you will do well not to bug me. Don't call off your wedding with Sophia because if you do, I'll make sure you never see this child when he is born. You chose Sophia, so marry her."
I have never seen such hatred in Luna's eyes. Her words weigh with so much anger and disappointment that I cannot contain. You have no idea how hard I'm trying to contain my tears right now. One mistake and everything is ruined. One mistake and I'm back to square one.
What kind of wicked game is this?
I don't even know what to say and I can't even find my voice. Her words completely took me off guard.
Nevertheless, I will not give up. I understand her reason for being so angry and I am going to prove to her that what happened last night was purely unintentional and she is going to forgive me. For now, I'm just going to give her the space she has demanded and off course not do anything that will make her try to keep my baby away from me. I'm going to do exactly as she has commanded but I promise that I'm going to make things right.
"As you wish "I say as I majestically walk out of the ward.
I'm not going to call off this wedding but there's going to be a war between Sophia and I and when I'm done with her, she will personally call off the wedding. She just stroked the final nerve and she'll so dearly pay for that.
