SOPHIA'S POV
I'm still trying to process the fact that Ace hung up on me. He has never done that before. I totally dislike the turn things seem to be taking these days and I despise that Luna of a girl. Of all the men in the world, she just had to get pregnant for my fiancé, of all the guys who were present at that reunion party, she just had to have sex with my fiancé and now she is carrying his child. The situation is so annoying that I don't think I will refrain myself from choking her if I ever get to set eyes on her. I will choke her to death or better still hit her tummy so hard that she has a miscarriage.
Yeah, think of me as evil, I don't care. Maybe if you were in my shoes, you would understand what I am going through. Ace promised that nothing was going to change between us, that he only wanted to be there for his child but the way things are unfolding, that's not what is going to happen. He is already getting too attached to Luna, he is already choosing her over me and sooner or later he will fall for her. I feel like I'm gradually losing my place in his life.
I wanted to, I really wanted to take his word for it but that would be taking chances. I am not going to sit back and watch some baby mama take my fiancé away from me. She might be carrying his child but I am the one he loves, I am the one he is engaged to and I am the one who is going to be Mrs. Damon Cole. I can't let Luna take my place. She is nothing but a one night stand fling, a baby mama and I will make sure to make her understand that I am still the main girl.
I pull over at the VIP parking lot at Mrs. Cole's Jewelry Mall, alight from the car and walk into the five star building. I take the elevator to the tenth floor where her office is located with no one trying to stop me because they know who I am.
I walk into the sophisticated office which is adorned with jewelries of all types and spot her seated by her desk, typing away in her laptop.
I love Mrs. Cole. She is a woman of caliber. Not ordinary. Her word is her word and Ace respects and listens to her a lot. Most times he takes orders from his mother and that's why I have come to seek help on this issue from her. I want Luna out of our lives for good, I want things to go back the way they used to be before she showed up.
I was never in the hot seat because Ace only had eyes on me, no girl has had the courage to compete with me for him.
I have always been his queen. I have always been the one to be pampered, begged, spoilt and checked on in this relationship but ever since Luna showed up, Ace hasn't had time to even talk to me. On the contrary, I have been the one setting up dates only for him to cancel because is with Luna. It's beyond annoying, I can't keep up with this for seven months, I will lose my sanity. Luna has got to get out of the picture that's why I am here to see Mrs. Cole.
When she insists on something Ace has no choice but to accept it. I am here to make her insist on getting Luna to do an abortion, I can't loose Ace, not to her, not to anyone else.
I will do anything to keep him.
I mean...ANYTHING.
"Mummy," I call putting on a sad face, immediately, she gets up from her chair and comes to hug me.
"Sophia, what's with the long face sweetheart?"
"Mum it's Ace"
"What has he done?"
"Mum I don't think I can keep up with this"
"Goodness Sophia !, Tell me what's going on"
"Mum it's Luna, she is trying to snatch Ace away from me"
"What do you mean by that?" She asks with a confused look.
"Ace has been cancelling dates just to spend time with her and this afternoon he hung up on me when I asked him to join me for lunch. All because he was with Luna" I complain.
She quietly takes a seat on one of the sofas and exhales heavily. Whatever it is that's running on her mind is definitely very intense!
"Luna Ramora Angelis, daughter of Diana Angelis. Indeed the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" She says in deep thought and I get confused.
Why is she now talking in parables?
"Mum" I call silently just to be sure that she's still on this planet.
"Honey, you don't have to worry. Ace might think that he is all grown up and knows what he wants but I will make him understand that he is wrong. I am his mother and I know what is best for him. So don't panic, Ace is your man and no girl, I mean, no girl can take him from you. Luna is a piece of cake. I know just what to do with her, so relax" she says with a reassuring smile.

"It's nothing honey. Come on don't let it bother you, mama's got your back. I have been anticipating your marriage to Ace since you were born, no random girl can change my plans. It's either you or you!"
Instantly, I feel my nerves relax. I trust Mrs. Cole's words. If she says she is going to make something happen, she definitely will.
"Have you had lunch yet?"
"No, Ace bailed out, but I made a reservation for two at Polo Lounge.
"Then what are we waiting for?, Let's go grab a bite and afterwards, we should spend some quality mother- daughter time together"
"Like we could go to the sauna?"
"And then shopping?"
"I am so game for this adventure" I say excitedly as we both exit her office cracking jokes and laughing.
Luna doesn't even know what she wants to take away from me.
Love aside, this family is the richest family in the country. Becoming a member of this family is more than winning a lottery and a jacket combined.
To have a mother-in-law who never has second thoughts about spending millions of dollars for my shopping and let me not even talk about what Ace spends on me. It's a fortune.
She can't steal this life away from me. That will be over my dead body.
