Ace and I spend the rest of the day together.
When we left the hospital, he took me out for lunch and then to any place I wanted to visit.
It's past seven pm and we are driving to Asher's house so he could drop me off.
"You've done nothing but spoil me today"
"You deserve it, even more. I love you and as it is now you are carrying the future heir to the Heritage Empire, you deserve every good thing"
"Your mother will die before she lets an illegitimate child take over Heritage" I say chuckling and he looks at me with a frown.
"Don't call my child such"
"But its the truth right? You'll marry someone else, he'll be illegitimate"
"No he won't" He denies and I roll my eyes and rest my head on the headrest. My phone rings and I smile instantly when I see Alora's name on the caller ID. I instantly press the green icon and hold the phone against my ear.
"Hello Alora"
"Oh my God Luna, where are you? Asher is bombarding me with questions of your whereabouts"
"I'm almost home Alora, tell him I'll be there in ten minutes"
"Alright then, but he's very pissed off so brace yourself"
"Thanks for the heads up" I hang up and slide the phone into my handbag.
"Asher sure cares about you"
"You have no idea" I say smiling.
"Have you ever had feelings for him?"
"Nope"
"That's so unfair"
"Well, I plan..." I start to talk and then I stop. I was going to tell him that I plan on giving Asher a chance when I have the baby, on a second thought, I don't want to raise tension between us right now, besides, after that heated make-out session we had at the hospital, I'm not exactly sure what I to do right now.
"What do you plan on doing?"
"Well, nothing... nothing big"
"I still want to hear it" He insists and I shake my head.
"Nope, forget it"
"You are very naughty, you know that right?"
"More than anyone else in the world"
I say with a sweet smile and he just shakes hi head and drives on.
About ten minutes later, Ace drives into the compound and I am beyond shocked to see Asher seated by the porch.
Damn!
Is he serious right now?
"Just how much does this guy love you?"
"I though I knew, but after seeing this, I don't think I have the slightest idea"
"Wow!" He exclaims as he parks by the driveway and we both unstrap our seatbelts and alight from the car.
We both walk towards the door and for some odd reason, my heart starts beating abnormally. Right now I feel exactly how I used to feel when I got home late as a teenager expecting to get scolded at and grounded by my father. Ace and I both stop by the porch in front of Asher and he gets up.
"Asher" I call as I go over to hug him and he kisses my forehead once I'm in his arms.
"I'll be on my way now" Ace announces.
"Thanks for bringing her home safely"
"It's my duty. Luna, I'll call you before you go to bed"
"I'll be waiting" He majestically walks to his car while Asher and I get into the house. The moment I see Alora, I rush to hug her.
I miss her dearly.
"I've missed you"
"Same here"
"Should I serve you dinner? Asher asks.
"Uh... no thanks, Ace already bought me dinner"
"Alright then, I'll be in my bedroom. If you need anything, do not hesitate to let me know"
"Duh! She has me too you know. I can get things for her" Alora interrupts and Asher just shakes his head as he takes the stairs. Once he is out of sight, Alora holds my hand and drags over to the couch where we both sit down . "Tell me everything" She squeals in excitement. I don't know why but she's always rooting for Ace and I to be together and I find it rather odd, she's supposed to be rooting for Asher and I to be together instead.
"Well... it was epic!" I squeal in excitement.
"Tell me more!" She says jumping around and I explain everything to her not leaving out the hot make-out session.
ACE'S POV
I sigh in frustration the moment I alight from my car and see Sophia's car parked in my garage. That means she's inside. This is going to be a long night of saying no to all her absurd demands and of course me reprimanding her for sending threat messages to Luna. She has to stop doing that with immediate effect.
I walk over to the door where I type my security code and the door opens up. The moment I step into the living room, my nostrils are greeted with a delicious aroma of food coming from the diner.
"Nice try Sophia" I whisper to myself as I close the door and type the code again to lock it. I walk further into the living room and make my way to the staircase not even bothering to check who is cooking because I know it must be the servants. Sophia must have ordered them to cook diner. I ascend the stairs and take the West wing where my bedroom is located and when I get into it, I meet Sophia comfortably seated on a sofa, reading a magazine. The moment she sees me, she disposes of the magazine, rises up from the sofa and walks towards me.
"Hello baby" She greets as she pegs my cheeks, she knows better than to try to kiss my lips. "Welcome home" She says with a sweet smile.
"Thank you. You can tell the maids to stop cooking, I already ate out"
"Awe, I was hoping we'd have dinner together"
"Maybe next time"
"Alright then, I'll just ask them to stop" She leaves the bedroom. I walk into my closet where I take off my clothes and tie my towel around my waist. I need to take a very cold shower right away. If only Luna had agreed to come and spend the night here with me, we would have surely finished what we started at the hospital earlier today.
What the hell am I even saying? She would've met Sophia here and there would've been a very nasty clash.
Damn! Luna and Sophia meeting is the last thing I ever want to happen. Sophia can get very physical with Luna and in Luna's condition, she's very vulnerable, I can only imagine the catastrophe that will cause. I have to try to keep them apart as much as I can.
The bathroom door creaks open and Sophia seductively walks in. She has on a transparent night gown that is way above her knees. I can see her matching purple lingerie and bra through the fabric but that doesn't entice me at all. The only body that can turn on right now is Luna's. My mind unconsciously travel to the heated oral sex we had earlier today and I can feel my dick twitch. I so badly wanted to do more but I held myself. The next time something like that happens, it will be here in my house, in my bedroom and on my bed. I can't wait for that to happen.
"Do you need a hand?" Sophia asks as she stoops by the bathtub.
"No I don't"
"How about I join you?"
"That can't happen either, but let's talk about the threat messages you have been sending to Luna lately, shall we?" I spot out giving her a stern look. She looks at me confused and then suddenly laughs.
"So she told you, she's such a cry baby. For the record, those weren't threats, they were just harmless message"
"Harmless messages, you say?"
"Yeah"
"Do you know who told me about this?"
"Who else than that flippant cry baby of yours?"
"Asher did. You know Asher right? The best Attorney in the entire country. Does that ring any bells in your head?" I ask with a creased brow and she gives me an uncomfortable look. "He would've have taken this matter in his hands already if not for me and you do know what he is capable of doing right? So you had better stop all this madness"
"I didn't do anything wrong!" She defends. "I was just trying to tell her to stay away from your"
"I'm too exhausted to fight with you tonight. If you wheat is good for you, you better stop pestering Luna with those irrelevant messages of yours" I s as I continue scrubbing body. She angrily stumps her feet on the floor and storms out of the bathroom.
When I'm done, I go into my closet where I dry myself with my towel, apply my body lotion and dress up in a pair of grey sweatpants and white singlet over it. I put on a pair of black socks and leather slippers and walk into my bedroom only to find Sophia already lying on my bed.
She's never going to give up, is she?
I pick up my cell phone from the table and walk to the door.
"Where are you going?"
"I didn't realize I need your permission before walking out of my very own bedroom" I snap.
"You have been avoiding me all this while, are we practicing abstinence now?" She asks in rage and I smile.
"I cannot wait for our wedding night" I say sarcastically as I walk out the bedroom, closing the door behind me.
I'm going to spend the night in one the guest rooms at the East wing and of course I have to call Luna and listen to her angelic voice before going to bed, if not I will have nightmares.
