Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 430

Ch. 430 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

Before Lisa ventured into showbiz, she was notorious as a troublemaker, always bullying others and never being bullied herself.

Although she was a minor figure in the entertainment industry, she was quite adept at seizing opportunities and associating with numerous men.

Her focus was solely on making money. Whether she could act or not was not important to her. As long as it could bring in money, she didn't care about the means.

However, she hadn't anticipated that her actions would lead to deadly consequences. Her pupils dilated further as she managed to speak from her throat, "W-Why?"

How could this man, who seemed so weak at first, suddenly become like this?

His entire being exuded a chilling intent to kill, clearly not an ordinary cleaner.

"Miss Booth, if you have to blame someone, blame your own lack of discernment for provoking the wrong person. Someone paid for your life."

Lisa had never been involved in such matters before and only now realized the gravity of the situation.

This was a society governed by law! How could someone be so bold as to commit murder in public?

"D-Don't kill me! I'll give you money, all the money I have."

The man merely chuckled coldly, his grip tightening further, bringing a choking sensation.

Lisa kept struggling in mid-air, and she finally saw the eyes beneath the man's duckbill cap.

They weren't the eyes of an ordinary person at all but those of a killer!

In the last few seconds before she was suffocated to death, she heard the man utter one last sentence, "In your next life, don't take what isn't yours. What you owe, you must repay."

As her breath completely faded, her body was mercilessly discarded onto the ground by the man.

The blossoms on the branches were in full. The man casually plucked one and placed it on Lisa's chest.

Her eyes were not shut. She lay stiffly on the ground, her face contorted in a ghastly stare toward the sky.

Under the hazy streetlight with snowflakes twirling, she would never awaken again.

"Who's there?"

Rolf's voice sounded out, but the man had vanished into the darkness.

By the time Rolf hurried over, he found Lisa lying on the ground with her eyes wide open. He quickly knelt to check on her, but she was already breathless.

Before he could give chase, a woman rushed over, her screams piercing the night. "Murder!"

Tabitha had just returned home with Derek and hadn't even taken off her makeup when Alvin appeared in the living room, looking flustered.

"Alpha Derek, something has happened."

Tabitha stopped in the stairwell and asked, "What's it?"

Alvin glanced at Derek, who, instead of pursuing the matter further, turned to reassure Tabitha first, "It's work-related. It's getting late. Why don't you take a bath and get some good rest?"

Tabitha cast a suspicious look at Alvin, who remained calm as he added, "Yeah, it's just a minor work issue that I need to discuss with Alpha Derek. No need to worry."

"Well, make sure you both get some rest too," Tabitha replied, withdrawing her gaze as she returned to her room.

Derek and Alvin proceeded to the study one after the other, and it was not until the soundproof door was shut that Alvin spoke up, "There's been a major incident. Rolf has been arrested."

Derek remained unflustered, "On what grounds?"

"Just as you suspected, Alpha Derek, there's something wrong with that cleaner. Rolf followed him and discovered that Lisa was already dead.

"Before he could leave, Lisa's agent and driver arrived to pick her up and mistakenly accused him of the murder. That hit man chose a blind spot for the surveillance cameras.

"There is no evidence to prove Rolf's innocence at the crime scene."
