Chapter 88 She has feelings for you

Ethan's POV

No, this was all wrong.

She was getting everything wrong and the worst part was that Rachel wasn't giving me a chance to explain.

I know it looked bad, for fuck sake if I even had a clue that she would come there, I wouldn't have drank with Lana.

Just a bottle of whiskey, one fucking bottle! I didn't even finish it, and I was that drunk.

No, that Lana must have done something.

I waited outside the entire night, hoping Rachel would come back anytime soon so I could explain myself, but she didn't show up.

Aunt Victoria met me where I was waiting for her and asked me what happened. She explained to me that she was the one who told Rachel I was in a bar and even told her the name of the bar when she saw that she was worried about safety.

I normal occasions, I would be jubilating that Rachel was worried about me, but why did it have to be yesterday!

After I explained to Aunt Victoria what really happened, she felt guilty about informing Rachel my location, but what can I say. It wasn't really her fault, it was mine.

I shouldn't have just let myself go in front of Lana, whether Rachel was around or not.

" I'll stay with you, if I talk to her it would be fine". Victoria had said and she waited with me up to the early hours of the morning.

Luke gave me a call around four that Rachel was at the underground garage and I immediately rushed there with Victoria, but she didn't even give me a chance to explain.

Her eyes looked like she had cried a lot and had lost their sparkle and her face was pale, she was tired I could tell.

But where the hell did she spend the night.

No matter what I tried to say, no matter how hard I tried to explain... She just refused to give me a listening ear.

She really thought I cheat on her with Lana? Really Lana of all people? I hated that bitch as much as she did if not worse.

I tried to reason with her, ask why she wasn't picking my calls, because I'm the last few hours I had called her almost fifty times but it all went to voice mail.

" Now you know how it feels to have your calls ignored". She said and it was then I remembered that when I checked my phone to call her, I saw almost ten missed calls from her.

I didn't out my phone on silent, even if I did, I would never put Rachel's call on silent or vibrate which only meant one thing, Lana must have messed with my phone too.

That girl was slowly working up my punish without the authorities involvement list.

I tried to explain, if she has just given me thirty seconds, but she just wouldn't let me speak. Even Victoria who was beside me went speechless.

This was the very first time she has seen Rachel lash out, she has always been well behaved and respectful around Victoria. But I knew this Rachel, and I feel in love with her too.

I opened my mouth to say something else

"I said I don't want to hear it! " She shouted and I clasped my mouth shut. She really didn't want to hear me speak.

" You and Lana played me for a fool and I have nobody to blame but myself. I had asked myself before, why was Ethan so nice to me when I was a pain in your ass back then...But I convinced myself that he just wanted to help me, now I know I was really a fool"

What?

She thought... She thought I was working with Lana?

Was that how low she thought of me? That I would only approach her because of Lana?

Could it be that she thought...

I had told her like two different times that I was in love with someone... Could it be that she thought that someone, was Lana?

This was getting worse.

" Rachel it's not... " I tried to explain, but then again... She didn't met me speak.

" I don't care, just let me leave the same way I came and don't ever show up in front of me again".

She was leaving? She wanted to leave me? But this was all a huge misunderstanding.

I would not be able to handle myself if she left, Rachel was my world. I was so deep in love with her that I fear that if she left me my whole life would be over, but yet she was just going to leave like that without hearing me out?

And she did. She smiled at Victoria who had been quiet all this while and just left.

My whole life was leaving me and I couldn't do anything about me because she said she didn't want to see me ever again.

Would I be able to fulfill her wish?

For the first time in a long time in my life, I felt a tear slip from my eyes and down my cheek.

" Ethan..." Victoria called me, but I kept on staring at the direction Rachel left in.

"She hates me, doesn't she?" I asked still looking towards the same direction.

I heard Victoria sighed before gently patting my back. "It's alright my son".

No it was not.

It was not alright. I just lost the only woman I loved to a fucking misunderstanding!

"She hates me". I muttered another tear rolling down my face.

Victoria sighed again. " She may, but her reaction just proved one thing". She said and I slowly turned my head towards her. " And what's that?" I asked her skeptically.

" She has feelings for you"

My half closed eyes flung open as I stared at the woman I've known all my life.

Rachel has feelings for me?

My look asked the question in my mind and Victoria nodded. " Rachel feels betrayed because she caught you with another woman, not just any woman, the same who ruined hee marriage. No woman would have such an extreme reaction if she didn't feel anything for the man". Victoria explained and I felt something, like a bucket of cold water fell on my body and I felt both the chill and the little excitement that came with me.

Rachel had feelings for me.

I glanced at Victoria again, and she flashed me a smile. " You might still had a chance to make things right with her, to explain... But first you need a reason and evidence. I'm sure you know what else to do". Victoria said before leaving me to my thoughts.

Rachel had feelings for me... The sentence just kept repeating over and over again in my mind until I found myself smiling, forgetting the fact that even if she had feelings for me, she was mad right now... Really mad.

Victoria knew everything about Rachel from the beginning, even before she came to the house.

I never hid my love interest from her, and she was very happy when Rachel came to live with me. She suggested that I didn't tell Rachel that she knew our relationship was fake, so that way Rachel would still act all lovingly with me even in the house, and it worked for the first few days before she traveled for the filming trip.

"Ethan focus, you may have just found out the best news of your life, but she's still very much mad. " I said to myself gently patting my face to snap out of my creepy smile.

Even I knew it was creepy.

I had to meet Rachel again, but this time with evidence that I had nothing to do with Lana and that bitch drugged me because I suddenly felt hot and tipsy just after a few glasses.

I shoved my hands into my pockets before bringing out my phone. " Boss " Came Mark's voice from the other end.

" I want you to get me the CCTV footage of City bar VIP section and I want it on my desk before I arrive at the office. " I commanded before cutting the call and shoving my phone back into my pockets.

Getting the footage was going to be the evidence I needed to get Rachel back in my arms and put Lana in her place.

Lana... This game just got really personal.
