Rachel's POV
"The Walker's has invited all main leads to their event this Saturday and I expect everyone of you to be there. Any questions?" Director George Stone asked as he closed the early morning meeting.
It was finally over. All I pray for right now was that there should be no questions. Everything the man said was simple and easy to understand, even me; who hardly listened and was just praying for it to be over, understood.
But someone just refused to allow me celebrate in peace and raised up her hand.
Who else could it be that my darling step sister... fucking Lana.
"Including the supporting actors? Like you know the non important ones like the third female lead?" Lana asked after the director asked her to speak.
I rolled my eyes.
"Does she know she's also a supporting actress? Second or third their still supporting actors." Marina whispered in my ear and I chuckled.
Lana was no longer thinking anymore... The only thing on that girl's mind was how to annoy me, so how would she remember that she's also a supporting actress.
"Ms Fareham..."
"Andrew" Lana interrupted the director and I rolled my eyes again.
"Excuse me?"
"Sir, I meant my surname it's Andrew now." She corrected her eyes fixed at me making some of the others present in the room look at me.
Marina giggled loving the tension in the sky, while I just shrugged.
It was no longer my concern.
"Alright, Ms Andrews... You do know that you're also a supporting actress right?" The director asked and Lana face contorted.
"Yes, but... But, I'm the second female lead, I have more importance than..."
"No you don't. Though Agnes dies in the film and you live both of you are of equal importance." He looked away from Lana and address the rest of us.
"That said and done, I expect to see you all this weekend." He said before walking out of the office.
Lana chest heaved up and down in anger and embarrassment before she stormed out of the office in anger.
"Yikes... That girl is mad." Marina exclaimed in laughter as we walked out of the office together.
"I hope it's not at me, because I didn't say anything the entire time." I said in an innocent voice before joining Marina in her laughter.
Lana was just too easy to get riled up, it almost made me wonder how she managed to almost ruin my life.
"I think that's what annoys her. You are just too calm, it annoys me too sometimes you know." Marina stopped to look at me.
"You're yet to get revenge on Lana for what she did to you, but you're too calm about it. I'm starting to think that you want to forgive her."
Forgive? Lana?
That was impossible.
I laughed clapping my hands. That was really funny.
"You...Marina, I can never forgive Lana, especially because she's still trying to ruin me. I'm just waiting for the right time, when she'll do something else, that's when I'll catch her." We resumed walking getting into the elevator.
"Okay, I believe you, because the Rachel I've known for a long time, never forgives her enemies and none of them have ever even hurt you the way Lana has, they've never even come close, but yet they all regretted it. I just hope Lana case would be the same, only worse."
I giggled softly, a wicked glint passing through my eyes.
"Lana's turn is coming soon. You'll see."
The elevator made a ding sound and we got out of the elevator in silence.
"Aish... I just remembered. I didn't pack any charity ball dress." I said as I was about to open the door.
Marina ran towards me and held the knob.
"Oh, Rachel I wanted to tell you this. The entertainment company sponsoring this movie already provided dresses for everyone of the actors."
Really?
That would save me a lot of trouble. She removed her hands and I held the knob.
"That's nice, have you seen it?" I asked opening the door.
I saw two dresses wrapped in a colorless nylon bag.
"Pretty..."
"I know right. The one on the left is mine." Marina ran to the dress on her bed before I could reach it.
"Hey... I've already seen them. The one on your bed fits you."
I glared at her picking up the dress in the bed and removing the nylon.
"Wow."
It was a black long body hugging dress that touched the floor. It was an offhand dress with long sleeves, the dress had a long spit starting from the around the thighs down to the bottom.
It was gorgeous.
"Wow, it's beautiful."
"I know right. I picked it for you." Marina smiled.
I looked up to see Marina standing right beside me, staring at the dress in adoration.
My smile turned mischievous and I ran to Marina's bed to check her dress.
"Rachel, don't..."
She was too late, I was already checking the dress. I ripped the nylon off the dress quickly.
"Holy shit."
Marina's dress was really different from mine. It was a red incredibly sexy dress.
"Oooh...This is bold Marina." I teased and Marina blushed.
" Give me that". She dragged the dress off my hands her a face deep color of red.
"Whom do you what to seduce?" I teased even more and Marina looked away from me.
"The director?"
Marina snapped at me.
"That man is married, Rachel."
"Oh, I know... But this dress," I raised it up for her to check it properly. "It's bold I think you can take even the director if his wife isn't around, or maybe even when she is."
"Stop it Rach, this isn't funny." She blushed even harder.
"Or could it possibly be the Raine? I saw you looking at him funny few days a go." Marina face couldn't get any redder.
I laughed hard rolling on the bed.
This was the first time I've seen Marina blush this hard in my life.
"Rachel..." Marina took a pillow and began hitting it on me.
"Okay, okay fine. I'll stop."
"Seriously though, when did you start getting this bold? The Marina I know would never wear something like this." I pointed at the dress in her hands.
Marina sighed dropping the pillow on the bed before sitting down on it.
"I'm not seducing anyone okay..."
"Then why that?" I asked sitting up close to her.
"I just want to, you know. Ever since we became broke up, as in friends..." I emphasized and Marina chuckled knowing where I was going.
Lana and I once thought she was gay because we were the only people around her. She never had a boyfriend till she was out of highschool so we came to that assumption.
"Ever since you stop talking to me, I didn't really get much admirers, I also broke up with Jack, my boyfriend and since then I'm yet to get into another serious relationship. Now that we're back to being friends, I think it's time for me to get back in the game."
"Marina..."
"It's just that, I see the way you and your Ethan talk to each other on the phone and I want something like that for myself, I've been single for way too long."
I sighed deeply taking a seat right beside her.
I never thought of it like that. Marina had just been such a good friend to me this past few weeks that I forgot that she had her needs to.
"I'm sorry."
"Why are you apologizing? It's not your fault that you're so hot that immediately you got out of a marriage another guy walks to your door." Marina said with a chuckle.
"It is my fault. I take care of my skin alot, also he didn't walk through my door, I barged into his."
Marina chuckled even louder and I joined her.
Now I've got a new mission in mind as I watched Marina laugh her eyes out.
Finding Marina a good match.
