Aaron
"Open the door," I said gruffly after breaking the kiss.
"Not until you leave," Bella said weakly. Her breathing was shallow as if the kiss took her breath away.
"I won't leave. Give me the keys," I said. I knew I was most likely pissing her off with my demanding tone, but the asshole version of me simply didn't care.
"Aaron, please..."
"Give me the damn keys," I barked.
She took the keys out of her purse and slammed it against my chest.
Ouch, that hurt.
"Good girl," I said and opened the door while staring into her eyes the whole time. You know...just in case she tries to make a run for it.
The house was dead silent, and I didn't see any car in the driveway. We were completely alone.
"Let's go to your room," I said and pulled her by her arm.
"What the fuck? What for? You don't actually expect me to have sex with you, do you?" she looked completely horrified.
Of course not. I wasn't a rapist.
"I just want to talk to you. We won't be disturbed in your room in case your aunt comes back." With that, I made her lead me to her room.
Her room looked the same as before, except for the missing picture of that Elijah dude. She must've gotten rid of it.
"What did you want to talk about?" she asked and looked at me suspiciously.
I leaned over and kissed her neck. "I was just kidding about talking. I don't get a girl alone to talk." I smirked.
"You asshole! Get out of my house right now!" Bella cried. She looked like she couldn't comprehend what was going on in my neanderthal brain. She pushed me off and ran off to the other side of the room.
"Not until I get what I came here for," I came closer to her and held her hand.
"You were supposed to be a changed man, remember? You promised you'd never tried to force yourself on a girl. You've never done it before anyway because girls threw themselves on you. That's what you told me!" she said. Sadness enveloped her face.
"Yeah, so?" I stared at her intently.
"So...why are you acting like this now. This isn't like you, Aaron! This isn't who you are. You are a nice guy. I can't trust a guy who goes back on his promise and switch into an asshole. And I can't be with you if I can't trust you!" she took a deep breath.
"I see," I stood there quietly for a moment. I relaxed my jaw. I knew I was coming on too strong. I picked up a lock of her hair and kissed it. "I'm sorry for being a jerk. I will let you date Damien in peace."
"Really?" she asked, sounding unsure.
"No, not really! Are you kidding me? Aaron Morris is not going to lose to another guy ever again!" I declared arrogantly and proceeded to grab her again.
"YOU IDIOT!" she screeched and pushed me with all of her strength. I tumbled backward, losing all control. I suddenly felt nothing behind me, no wall, and kept falling.
I fell out of the goddamned window and flew straight to the ground.
And that's how I died.
Just kidding.
I survived as I hit the bush underneath.
"Oh my God, Aaron! Are you okay!"
I heard Bella screaming from above. I saw her leaning over and looking at me. Her red hair shone under the sunlight. She looks like an angel. Ah..maybe I did die and went to heaven after all.
"Is that you, Aaron? What the fuck are you doing in Bella's bush like some pervert?" Jake screamed from a distance.
Great...Jake is here too.
"Bella pushed me off her window. I say you press charges for attempted murder, which I'm willing to drop if she offers me her body," I screamed back.
"I am coming downstairs!" Bella said and disappeared from my view.
I tried to get up but groaned as I felt a sharp pain in my arm. Shit, is my arm broken?
I heard two sets of feet running towards me.
"Did you break something?" Jake looked at me with concern.
"I don't know. I can't believe Bella tried to kill me," I smirked.
"I did not! I just pushed you. I didn't think you'd fall," Bella protested.
"Well, stop standing around and help me up," I told Jake irritably. "What are you doing here, anyway?"
"Mom wanted me to come over for something," Jake said as he helped me stand up.
"I can't move my arm. It hurts like hell," I winced.
"I am taking you to the hospital," Jake said and motioned me to his car.
"Aaron, I am sooo sorry. I don't mean for you to get hurt," her eyes were starting to tear up. She wrapped her arms around my waist and hugged me. "It was an accident," she added, sniffling.
"Shh...don't feel bad, Freckles. I know you didn't do it on purpose, but that doesn't mean I won't make you pay the price, so be prepared," I smirked and kissed her hair.
"Even when you are in pain, you still act like a jerk," she whined but kept her face buried in my chest.
"Come on, you lovebirds. I started the car. Let's go to the hospital," Jake ordered.
At the hospital, the doctor did some X-rays to see if anything was broken.
"Looks like you didn't break any major bones, but you do have a fractured arm. I'll put a cast on it, and it should be healed in a few months," the doctor said.
"Oh good, now I can continue to harass that cute little redhead over there," I grinned mischievously and pointed at Bella, who frowned deeply.
The doctor shook his head as if he was disappointed in me.
Jake drove me home after dropping Bella off first. I was starting to feel drowsy as I took some pain medication.
"I'm gonna hang out here in case you need something," Jake said.
"Thanks, bro. I owe you one," I said sleepily, then slowly drifted into sleep.
