The Ruthless Alpha's Innocent Breeder

Chapter 114

Ch. 114 / 140 Jan 12, 2026

Eero's Perspective

"I'll go ahead, Eero. Don't worry if you don't want to stop by at the realm. I won't tell your father that I bumped into you," Luna Queen Aelice said. She waved her hand at Perseus and turned her back to us.

I watched her walk out of the coffee shop. My wolf urged me to drag Perseus away from this place until my wolf alerted me of a shifter's presence.

"Shit! It's Beta Caspian! Why is he here?" I whispered to myself.

"Mom, do you know who he is?" Perseus asked. His voice is filled with curiosity and so is his pair of innocent eyes. I looked at Caspian who was seriously looking at Perseus.

I averted my eyes from Caspian and looked down on Perseus who was waiting for a reasonable answer from me.

I smiled sweetly as I crouched to level his height with mine.

"Does he know you? It looks like he knows you. Because if not and he's looking at you like that then he's being rude and creepy?" Perseus asked.

Caspian chuckled heartily and grabbed the attention of my son. Perseus's forehead nearly knotted with frowns as he watched Caspian continue to laugh.

Perseus tugged the side of my dress until he was already pulling me slightly away from Caspian, his biological father's best friend.

"I'm not a stranger young man." Caspian quickly turned to me then he returned his eyes to Perseus to continue talking to him.

"How do I tell you this hmm? I was someone important to both your father and mother," Caspian said.

Perseus gazed at me. The corner of his brows crane. He placed one of his hands on his chin as if he was thinking deeply and looked back and forth at Caspian and me.

He opened his mouth and yet nothing came out of it in the first seconds until he breathed deeply and scratched the back of his nape.

"Baby, can you please go back to our seat first? I need to talk to him, go watch Jungle Junction first." Although there was a hesitation in his eyes. Perseus nodded to oblige to my command. Perseus's eyes stayed on Caspian for a few seconds before he took the iPad from inside the backpack he was wearing to watch the cartoons.

I can't even remember the number of times I let out a few deep breaths before I was able to face Caspian completely.

"What are you doing here?" I whispered but with emphasis on every word as I asked him.

"Alpha Claudius is looking for you."

"So, you still call him that huh? Even when he was stripped of his right of being an Alpha years ago?" I couldn't help but mock.

"You told him that Perseus died of a terminal disease and because Claudius was forbidden to come back to Regulus. He couldn't come to see if it was true, but the picture of Perseus's funeral made Claudius believe that your pup with him is dead." Caspian glanced at my son.

"Seeing the resemblance between that boy and Claudius. It's safe to assume that Perseus isn't dead and Claudius needs to know. Should I call him and ask him to come here so he can see his son?" Caspian asked.

His words melted my defences and all that was left in me was nothing. My chest was hammering with extreme nervousness because every word he uttered was like a threat to me.

"Claudius doesn't need to know. Perseus and I are doing just fine with Miguel. Revealing the truth to Claudius and Perseus will only do nothing but complicate things. Please, don't tell Claudius about this, we won't be here for long either—,"

"Because you're going to run away again!" The tone of Caspian's voice and the anger in it made me chicken out. I couldn't even hide the trembling of my lower lip.

I closed my eyes and sighed.

"Claudius abandoned us. He gave up Perseus, and me. All the lies that I said and made everyone believe. I made it to make sure that my son is safe." His jaw clenched.

Caspian didn't speak any more and I took that chance to turn my back on him and left the coffee shop.

I held Perseus tightly and guided him to leave the coffee shop. We were a step away from the coffee shop's glass door when Caspian rushed after us.

He tried to stop me by grabbing my arms but I was quick to shove it and throw him dagger looks.

Caspian pulled back a little and raised both of his hands in the air with a smile before the expression on his face became more serious.

"You can't keep running away from Claudius, from the realm. You met the Luna Queen, right? But did she tell you that the Alpha King is in a critical condition? Claudius told him the other day that you were here when he first saw you at the milk tea shop and your father wants to see you." I turned to him in shock. My eyes became teary instantly.

"Why didn't I hear about this?"

"Why do you think Aelice, and Beta Octavio are hiding this from you? It's so Aelice's son will ascend to the throne the moment the Alpha King dies, of course, you wouldn't be able to do anything. How can you, when you are away?"

Caspian looked at me seriously, "If there's one thing you should be doing here in Regulus. It should be securing your position as the Alpha King's heir.

I tried to hide my tears from Caspian and even from Perseus before the two of us continued to leave and hailed a taxi on the side of the road.

---

"The Alpha King exiled Claudius and Caspian from the realm. How can they know such information and not you? I mean, since when did the Alpha King become so close to your ex-second chance mate?" I glanced at Diana after I hung my satchel bag against my shoulder and stood beside her, ready to leave.

"Diana, my wolf is telling me that something is going on in the realm. I don't know how Caspian got that information, but I was sure that he wasn't lying to me." I sniffed and bit my lower lip.

"If I hadn't been with Perseus earlier. I might have gone straight to the real right after Caspian told me about the Alpha King," I mumbled.

"Okay, go on. Go check on your adoptive father. I'll keep an eye on your pup."
