Eero's Perspective
When I felt our kissing was getting more intense and knew that it would lead us naked on top of the bed. I had to stop Claudius by pulling my lips from him. My mate frowned. He was about to kiss me again, but I took a step backward to distance myself from him.
"Eero, you don't like my kisses anymore?" He said, almost pouting his lips.
I cupped his cheeks and pecked on his swollen and reddish lips.
"You look just like your son when sulking," I said to him.
"Really? I can't wait to see Perseus sulk." I shake my head at him and run my hand on his broad shoulder.
"Trust me, you'd never want to see him sulk," I said.
"I'll see you in my room tonight?" I asked and winked at Claudius before I walked out of Octavio's room.
I met Alice in the hall of the realm. She was headed to me with anger waving through her hazel brown eyes.
"You ordered my father to be arrested? Why? What did he do?" She shouted at me. I glanced at my lady-in-waiting to ask her to leave me and the Luna Queen with just ourselves.
"It's the new Alpha King that ordered Beta Octavio to be arrested." Confusion made her face crumpled.
"The new Alpha King? Who? Was it Claudius?"
"Yes. Claudius managed to track Vance and his father. They are on their way back here in the realm. Your son is safe." I smiled at her and was about to leave her behind to check on Perseus when Aelice spoke, which made me halt on my track.
"How about me and Vance? What will happen to me? You and Claudius no longer need my help. Will he banish us from the Regulus?"
"I'm not yet sure. We haven't talked about that yet. Things are happening so fast that we didn't have a chance to discuss all the minor details of everything."
"I don't want to go back to our hometown. My father would remain in prison here, but he can sure find a way to punish me and my son."
"Alice, you cheated on Alpha King Codrus and bore a son that isn't him. Your sin is punishable by death. I could pull some strings to help you, but the only help that I could give you is to help the both of you keep your life, nothing else."
Aelice suddenly kneeled in front of me. My keen eyes were quick to see her knees bleeding and bruised.
"I know what I did, and I'm not asking you to let me keep my title. Just let me live here, and be in your protection. I'll serve you and Vance can serve Perseus. You can make us omega, just please don't kick us out of the pack."
"Your Grace?" Edith, my lady-in-waiting interrupted us.
"Perseus fought with another pup in the garden of the realm." I immediately left Aelice behind to tend to my son.
"Perseus!" I called. I lifted his chin and when I saw blood stains around his nose. Anger quickly consumed me.
"Who did this? How did this happen? Why did the delta let the young prince be maimed?" I yelled while I was holding my son behind me.
I look down on my son because it seems like everyone in the garden doesn't have an idea what happened.
"Perseus, why did you and the son of the Alpha of Blue Moon Pack fight?" I asked. Perseus was just looking straight into my eyes.
"Perseus, I'm asking you! As your mother I command you to tell me the truth."
"That kid called me a bastard. He said that I'm not Miguel Blackthorn's son. He called me a bastard, and you a..."
"Whore," Perseus continued. My heart beat louder in fear.
"What happened here?!" Claudius's voice was bombarded in the garden.
"The kids fought. It's nothing serious. Kids, boys specifically like this fight all the time," I said. I know Claudius would have a violent reaction if he heard the real reason as to why his son is wounded. Perseus slipped out of my arm and right straight to Claudius.
He signaled Claudius to crouch and he did. Perseus whispered in his ear and anger quickly painted on Claudius' face.
"Claudius, he's just a child. Let this one slide."
"Who told you that Perseus is a bastard? And who said that you can call Eero a whore? Where did you hear all of these."
"Claudius, please, he's just a child."
"Matteo?" The Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack finally showed up.
"I've heard my father talk about it once." Alpha Rodrigo of the Blue Moon Pack shut his eyes. The Luna of the Blue Moon pack then took her son away from the garden.
"Eero, bring Perseus to his room and have his wound checked by the pack's doctor. I'll deal with all of this."
"But that isn't just a rumor. Perseus is a bastard. He's not Miguel Blackthorn's son. Eero got pregnant with a man who wasn't her husband. All of what my son had heard from me is the truth." I tried to catch Claudius arm but he was faster to attack Alpha Rodrigo.
Punches rained on poor Alpha's face.
"Perseus isn't a bastard, and Eero isn't a whore!"
Even when Alpha Rodrigo's face is bleeding he can barely open his eyes. He still managed to laugh at Claudius.
"If Eero isn't a cheap whore, then let us hear the truth from her. Is Miguel Blackthorn your son's father?" Alpha Rodrigo asked.
"You had said enough! Stop it!" I spat at Alpha Rodrigo. I turned to my son and spoke, "Perseus, let us go to your room."
"Just tell him that I'm not a bastard, Mama. Tell him that I'm Miguel Blackthorn's son."
"Perseus please listen to me first. I'll explain everything to you." Perseus backed away from me, avoiding my touch.
"So, I'm not Miguel Blackthorn's son? I'm a bastard?" Perseus asked.
"No, you're not. You were never a bastard, Perseus. You're mine, you're my son. Eero was married to me before. You are our son," Claudius said, spilling the truth to everyone.
