Eero's Perspective

I didn't want to get up from the bed. The softness of the mattress was tempting me and on top of that, my eyelids felt heavy to open. My mind had already agreed that I'd stay in bed for another hour after I checked the time when I felt my stomach churning. It stopped me from my track, but chose to shrug it off until a squeaky feeling came over me and I couldn't find the urge to throw up.

I run fast to the bathroom and vomit whatever is left in my stomach. After rinsing my mouth, I checked my reflection in the mirror.

"But I don't look sick." I checked my temperature too and I don't feel feverish.

"Did I eat something last night that could upset my stomach?" I whispered to myself. I opened the drawer to grab an ointment that I could use for my tummy when I saw an unopened box of tampons.

I rushed out of the bathroom to grab my phone on the bedside table.

"I'm three weeks delayed with my period. My period never came late, the only time it was late and never really came was when I got pregnant with Perseus."

I paced in front of my door's room, playing with the wedding ring on my fingers and then I heard a knock. I stopped pacing and opened it immediately.

"Do you have it? Did no one see you bought it?" I asked Edith.

"No one, Luna Eero. It was wrapped properly, but why are we keeping this secret? Are you talking about a pregnancy test? Why are we hiding it?" She whispered to me and then she suddenly shook her head.

"Why are we even whispering? You're married to the Alpha. You have a mate, it's completely okay if you're pregnant again, Luna Eero."

"Until it's sure that I'm pregnant, we will keep this between us, Edith. Both Perseus and Claudius want to have another member in our family." I sighed and could only roll my eyes as I got a flashback of those two talking about a new pup, a girl this time, every chance they got, and though Claudius never pressured me, Perseus did, and I wanted to give him that baby sister.

Edith laughed. She nodded her head and finally saw logic in my reason.

"Perseus always wanted to have a baby sister. He doesn't want another baby boy, but a baby sister, he was praying for the Moon Goddess to have one."

"Really?" I frowned at Edith.

"I didn't know that."

"I saw him do that a few times, but I couldn't tell you. I don't want you to feel bad that you can't give Perseus the baby sister that he wants because I know the setup and deal that you and Alpha Miguel have before."

Edith handed me the pregnancy test.

"I will wait here to make sure that no one will come in your room while you take the test, Luna Eero."

"One red line is negative, and two red lines is positive," I whispered to myself in a chanting manner with my eyes closed.

My wolf said that it was the right time to check it and when I did. I leap out of happiness, but immediately calm myself and become cautious of my movement.

"What does it say, Luna Eero? Are you pregnant?" Edith asked as soon as I stepped out of the bathroom.

I showed them the pregnancy test and she almost had the same reaction as me. She reached for my tummy to feel it.

"When do you plan to tell the Alpha and Perseus?" She asked me.

"Later, at dinner. I will tell them the good news," I said.

I couldn't hold my lips from curving so much as soon as I heard Claudius and Perseus giggling on their way here.

"Mama!" Perseus called excitedly, and then instead of running straight into my arms like he always does. He only kissed me on my cheeks and he distanced himself again.

"That is weird. Are you not going to hug Mama?" I asked him. He grinned and came closer again to give me the hug that I was asking for, but he was extra careful not to hit my tummy.

"We are having a feast. Is there something that you want to tell us, Mama?" Perseus asked giggling as he took his usual spot. Claudius kissed me on the lips before he pulled a chair for me to sit on.

My mate and pup exchanged meaningful gazes.

"Okay, what is going on? I know you two, and I know that something is going on. What is it?" I asked them.

"Huh, Mama? What do you mean by what is going on? Nothing is going on Mama, but you, you texted Daddy that you have an important announcement to make. What is it?"

Perseus and Claudius did it again. They exchanged those meaningful looks again.

"I think you two already have an idea about what I'm going to say."

"Maybe? But you have to tell us first so we can guess if we got it right, mate," Claudius answered.

There was no use in delaying the news, so I went straight to the floor and handed the pregnancy test to Claudius.

"I know it!" Claudius exclaimed. He gave the pregnancy test to Perseus which got our firstborn jumping out of his seat to come to me.

Perseus felt my tummy while his lips continued to stretch a wider smile.

"Baby sister, are you there? It's me, I'm your older brother, your best friend, and your protector."

Claudius kneeled so his face would level with my tummy too.

"Hi, there pup, it's me you, father. Your brother and I can't wait to see you. I love you, you, your brother, especially your mother. I love all of you," he said.

Claudius dried the tears that I didn't know were falling from my eyes.

"Remember what the fairytales always say at the end of every stop that you used to read when you were young?" Claudius asked.

"You mean that they would live happily together ever after everything?"

Claudius nodded his head. "Yes, that one, Eero. This is our end and we will live happily together from now on, mate. Nothing will ever go wrong again. This family will be the happiest, Eero."
