The Ruthless Alpha's Innocent Breeder

Chapter 123

Ch. 123 / 140 Jan 12, 2026

Eero's perspective

Miguel softly, and gently shoved the annulment paper on my hand. He looked around in search of a particular item and when his eyes spotted it. Miguel's feet quickly brought him to it.

"A pen?" He said, showing it to me. A bitter smile stretched on the corner of my lips before it became a chuckle.

"What's the rush? Hmm? You can be honest with me. Did you already find your fated mate and you can't wait to be with her?" I joked.

Miguel sat across me after he put the pen next to the annulment paper.

"I would have loved it if that's the reason why I'm asking you to annul our marriage now, but, sadly, no. That isn't the reason." He comfortably sat on his chair and manspread his legs.

I pulled the paper closer to me and I signed. I didn't know that I was holding my breath until I sighed after signing the paper. I looked thoroughly at my signature before I deposited my eyes to Miguel, who'll be my ex-husband in a few weeks, or months.

"Was I that horrible?" I asked him as I closed the pen. I smiled through the pain.

"My fated mate cheated on me with my sister. My second chance mate, he left me. He has his reasons, and even when I try to understand Claudius, I can't, and now you. Why the hell can't I keep a man? Was there something wrong with me?" I asked, my voice broke in the end.

Miguel quickly came to my side. His hand caresses the small of my back. He lifted my chin and our eyes met.

"Hey, don't think like that, Eero. It's not like that."

"Nothing is wrong with you. If I was only stronger and greater than Claudius. I'll never ask you to break up, Eero."

I held his hand intimately and this was the first time that I tried to which is why it surprised Miguel too.

"Years of being together and nothing happened between us. I'm sorry, that I couldn't learn how to love you as a lover, and not just as a friend." Miguel's cheeks protruded. I knew that Perseus wasn't his son. But whenever he smiled like that, I couldn't help but think that he and my pup aren't that different from each other.

"I saw you tried. I felt that you did, and there are many things in this world that we can't force, being in love with someone is one of them."

I stared down at the wedding ring on his finger.

"You married me to help me. You accepted me as a temporary mate because Claudius pleaded with you. Did you..." I closed my eyes and wagged the last question off my head.

"Never mind," I dismissed it after I saw that he was still waiting for me to say it fully.

"If did I ever fall in love with you? That is what you want to ask me, am I right?" I remained silent and instead, found an object that I could pay attention to.

Miguel guided my face back to him and he gently nodded his head.

"I did. It was easy to fall in love with you, Eero. As easy as breathing. I am, and will always be, and if you'll ask me why I'm setting you free despite being in love with you." Miguel wiped the tears from my cheeks, making me realize that I was crying.

"Because I don't want things to be hard for you. With Claudius back in the picture, the more he's around you, the more your feelings for him will torment you. I treasure and value our marriage, and I don't want you to wake up and feel like your marriage with me is your prison, Eero." Miguel kissed the back of my hand.

"We'll remain good friends. Don't worry about my parents too, I'll be the one to talk to them." I nodded my head at him. Miguel placed the annulment paper back on the envelope and he brought it to the pocket of his coat again.

"You have one more problem, though," Miguel said.

"Huh? What is it?"

"For your marriage with Claudius to be considered legit. It has to have the Alpha King or the Luna Queen's blessing." Miguel paused and looked me in the eye, weighing his next words.

"Do you think Luna Queen Aelice will give you and Claudius this blessing that you need to make sure that your marriage with him will be honored?" He asked.

I closed my eyes and massaged the side of my head. Miguel threw a confused look at me.

"Why are you phrasing it as if I'll immediately marry him?"

"Because I can get our annulment approved in a week. I know a judge that can do that. I have connections, and if you want to. You and Claudius can get married before this month ends." Miguel moved closer to me.

"You don't have all the time in the world timing is what's crucial to your life right now." Miguel's last word as we spoke in my room repeated inside my head as I now stand at the door of Aelice's room.

I raised my hand and was about to knock, but I hesitated at the last second and pulled down my hand. The door then opened and Aelice welcomed me with a smile.

"I thought I was just imagining things when I caught a whiff of your scent, but here you are." Aelice sounded warm and welcoming and for a moment it felt like it was the young Aelice, my friend that I was talking to and not the Luna Queen that I grew to despise through the years.

"Why don't you come in? I don't bite, not anymore," she joked. I smile at her, and then silence consumes us once more.

"To where do I owe this pleasure of your visit your grace?"

I sighed, closed my eyes and when I opened it again, I found the courage to tell her what I came here for.

"Miguel and I are getting a divorce, and I'm marrying Claudius after that. I need your blessing for the whole pack to honor my marriage with Claudius."
