Eero's Perspective
I narrowed my eyes at Claudius and hit his chest. My mate laughed at me before he pulled me closer to his chest. He gently sniffed the scent of my hair and then I felt him kiss my forehead.
"Your legs are still shaking," he whispered laughing. I raised my hand to hit him again, but he skillfully caught it. His fingers caged my wrist and pinned it back on the bed, within a blink of an eye. Claudius was back on top of me. His manhood poking my thighs.
"Let me rest, will you, please? I missed you too. I miss making love to you, but I'll end up limping if we do it again. I'm sore down there."
"Let me check," he said. Claudius moved fast down. My lips twitched in pain and the muscles in my face twisted.
"It's all red and swollen. Taking a cold bath will soothe you. Should I wash you? Or do you want to take a nap first?" He asked.
The sun outside was slowly leaving the sky. In an hour, it'll be dinner time.
"A cold bath will do. I still need to tend to, Perseus otherwise he won't come out of the room to have dinner with us."
"It's fine," Claudius said, which made my forehead wrinkled. He carried me from the bed to the bathtub and started filling it with cold water.
"What is fine, baby?" I asked my mate.
"If Perseus hates me at the moment. It's fine. I don't want you to pressure him into accepting me in his life, in your life as mother and son."
"Perseus is just a kid. He is confused and feels betrayed, but we both know how much he likes you."
"He likes me as his uncle, and not as his father. What if he never sees and treats me as his father?"
I cupped his face and pecked at his lips. Claudius pouted his lips, asking for another one. I chuckled and playfully tapped his lips. Claudius straightened it out and opened his eyes.
"I know my son. He'll come in your arms at his own pace. Perseus is your blood, you have a connection with him, a connection that he can never resist, good thing we are shifters and that the Moon Goddess gifted us with these bonds and connections.
"Alpha King, Your Grace?"
"Who the hell dared to disrupt my long-awaited alone time with my mate?" Claudius whispered as he faked my anger.
"That's Edith. She was my main help when I was raising your son. Edith knows Perseus like the back of her palm, too."
"So, I need to be nice to her?"
"Yes, if you want to please your son. Edith is her favorite payment. She's like an auntie to him, not just a nanny."
"Your Grace, your husband, Alpha Miguel is looking for you, but Perseus saw him and brought Alpha Miguel to his room. I just thought that you need to know." I got up so fast from the bathtub.
I patted myself dry fast and dressed up.
"You will stay here first," I said to Claudius after I felt him following me on my way out of his room.
"Promise not to get too close to Miguel." I looked at Claudius with my eyes opened wide.
"Mate, your scent is all over me. Everyone can tell what we just did, and trust me Miguel isn't a threat to you. Stop being overly possessive will you?"
"I can't help it. It's not me if I'm not possessive over my woman." I shook my head at Claudius. He and his jealousy is a hopeless case.
"I was right. The Alpha King kept you busy for hours," Miguel whispered meaningfully in my ears as soon as he saw me.
"Okay, can you not give me that judgy look? I stopped by here to talk to him earlier, but Perseus didn't want to let me in, and I didn't want to force him to see me. He was upset."
"He will be. Perseus has all the right to be upset. He heard the truth from someone else, a kid like him on top of that."
"What is that?" Panic can be heard in my voice as I saw my son with his suitcase.
"I'm staying with Papa Miguel for now, Mama."
Miguel swiftly moved his eyes to me and shook his head to let me know that he had nothing to do with this.
"Perseus, baby, I know you're upset at me and your biological father, but you can't leave the realm to stay with your Papa Miguel in Blackthorn."
Perseus glared at me.
"You're not leaving this place and it's final. If you want to be with your Papa Miguel. He can stay here, but you can't leave this place."
Perseus opened his lips, but before he could come up with a retort, I cut him off.
"You're my pup and you'll follow me, Perseus."
I tore my eyes from my son before I could see a tear slip down from his raging eyes.
"Edith, dinner will be served in a moment. Please dress Perseus up—"
"I'm not eating dinner with you and Uncle Claudius. I will sleep now, please leave my room." Perseus glared at Miguel.
"You too, Papa Miguel. Leave my room too so I can rest."
I licked my lower lip. Miguel could feel me losing my patience over this. Before I could say something to my son that would further upset him. Miguel asked me to just leave Perseu's room.
"Stretched your temper a bit, will you? Perseus is Perseus. You are his favorite person. He'll be purring in your arms before you even know it," Miguel assured me.
I sighed. He reached for my hand and seeing him comforting me his way made me smile and then someone in the hallway cleared his throat. Miguel let go of my hand fast.
"And do tell your mate that what he saw isn't what he thinks it is? I'm not trying to steal you from him," Miguel whispered before he distanced himself from me again.
