The Omega’s Second Chance Mate

CHAPTER 21 She Seduced Me

Ch. 21 / 208 Apr 30, 2026

Garrett said nothing as he stared at his nephew with a blank expression. Alpha Jack, on the other hand, exuded the anger that Garrett was feeling.

"You said that she seduced you?" Alpha Jack's voice boomed with anger, his words spaced out for emphasis. The intensity of his gaze bore into Daniel, causing a shiver to run down the young man's spine. Doubt gnawed at Daniel's mind. Had he misjudged the young woman? However, he knew he couldn't backtrack on his lies now.

"Yes, she seduced me!" Daniel responded, his voice laced with fake indignation. "She wasn't content with being a maid. She sought to use her beauty to entice me into mating with her, dreaming of marrying into a wealthy pack!" He spun a tale of deceit, weaving a narrative that painted Lily as an ambitious opportunist.

Lily's eyes fluttered open, her body weak and devoid of strength. She wanted to tell them that Daniel was lying to save his drunk ass, but her voice failed her.

'Has he no shame? We wouldn't dare want someone like him,' Dina said angrily.

Lily could only watch helplessly as he continued to weave his web of lies. Deep within her, she hoped that Garrett would see through Daniel's deception. She reached out, her trembling hand gripping Garrett's tightly, her teary eyes pleading for understanding and justice.

'He's lying. You have to believe that,' Lily thought.

Garrett heard her. It was a faint whisper in his mind and he couldn't decipher the words, but she had connected to him telepathically. That shouldn't have been possible without a mate mark, but he could've sworn he heard her.

'Did you hear that?' Garrett asked Berric.

Berric said urgently, 'Yes. She believes we won't believe her. How could we not believe our beautiful strong Luna? We must take her away from here and get her medical treatment.'

Understanding the urgency of the situation, Garrett swiftly lifted Lily into his arms and instructed one of the omegas to summon the pack doctor.

As they made their exit, Daniel's nervous gaze followed them, his mind racing with confusion. "What is Uncle Garrett doing? She's just an omega," he muttered to himself, unable to comprehend his uncle's actions. He failed to see the truth hidden beneath his own lies.

Before he could delve deeper into his thoughts, Alpha Jack's fury erupted. Gripping Daniel's neck with a vice-like grip, he slammed him forcefully to the ground. Daniel's attempt to utter his grandfather's name was silenced. Alpha Jack's voice resonated with unyielding authority, "You idiotic drunk!"

"Grandpa, I only had one glass..." Daniel started.

"Shut up with your lies! You wreak of liquor and once again, you try to weasel your way out of problem that you caused!" Alpha Jack said angrily.

"But, she was just an omega. She was being so defiant. You never had an issue before," Daniel continued.

"Do you really not know who she is? Did you mother not tell you anything before you brought your lousy ass into my home to cause trouble?" Alpha Jack yelled. "She's your future aunt! Do you think you can deceive us with such a lie? You better pray that she doesn't bear a grudge, or I will allow Garrett to end you!"

Daniel was rendered speechless, his astonishment paralyzing him. She was engaged to his repulsive uncle? His mother had mentioned their impending union in passing, but he had never paid much attention to it. He had assumed that the unlucky she-wolf would be as unattractive as Garrett. Yet, to his surprise, his hideous uncle had managed to secure such a beautiful fiancée. Why had he been so lucky?

"You are very brave, my lady, and strong too. I believe you're one of a few omegas that I have met that didn't sustain serious injuries fighting off a Beta," the pack doctor stated as he attended to Lily's injuries.

Her cheek was split, bruises marred her skin, and her wrist was dislocated. Though severe, her injuries were not life-threatening, and with time, she would heal. For a higher-ranking wolf, the healing process would be complete within 12 hours, but for Lily, it would take a few days.

"Garrett you may want to get your mate into some defense lessons. I doubt this will be the last time she encounters trouble with your family," the pack doctor advised.

"As soon as she is healed, I will train her myself if she is willing," Garrett said.

"Can you try to sit up for me?" the pack doctor gently asked Lily, concern evident in his voice.

Lily attempted to comply but winced in pain, her back aching. Garrett moved closer, supporting her as the pack doctor examined her injuries. Upon inspecting her back, a large, unsightly bruise became visible-a testament to the confrontation with Daniel and the violence she had endured.

Garrett had been holding back his rage not to alarm Lily but he couldn't help bus snarl at seeing that bruise. He stood up and proceeded to make his way downstairs to confront his nephew.

As soon as Garrett stepped in front of Daniel, he kicked him hard in the stomach. The impact knocked the wind out of him. He dropped to his knees, breathing and howling in pain. Garrett pinched his neck directly and made him stand up.

"Uncle wait! Wait!" Daniel pleaded in panic and fear before Garrett slapped him as he had done to Lily. "Uncle... I was wrong! Truly. I will never do that again. You can't kill your nephew just for an omega. She's not worth it!"

"Not worth it?!" Garrett growled in rage. His eyes showed a dangerous glint when he heard this.

From the moment the Lily came back to him, he had decided that she was to the one he would try his best to protect, try his best to be a better man for. But before he could show his love for her, she was bruised and beaten by this bastard.

Garrett's pupils contracted slowly and his eyes clouded with ruthlessness, and he showed no pity for his nephew on the ground, aching and begging.

"Unhand my son!"
