In the morning, a beautiful lavender sweater dress had been hanging from Lily. She was going to meet her future father-in-law properly. The first time she met him was during the rejection ceremony where she didn't necessarily act properly.
'It doesn't matter. He was a complete ass,' Dina growled. 'Him and your father.'
'Well, if he hadn't agreed to the rejection ceremony, we would've been with a cheating mate,' Lily responded.
'Good point. Still, he's an ass,' Dina agreed.
Lily couldn't help but be nervous. Her hands were actually sweaty. Garrett could smell her nervousness and looped his arm around Lily bringing her out of her thoughts. "There's nothing for you to worry about," he said confidently.
"Who said I was worrying?" Lily said in a snarky manner which caused Garrett to chuckle and pulled her in closer to nuzzle the side of her neck causing her to blush. "Stop it. You're going to get me flustered."
After getting out of the car, Lily looked at the carved black gate and the towering pack house behind it, feeling a little overwhelmed. The pack house was so much bigger than her parents. It was situated on vast and meticulously landscaped grounds with manicured lawns with exquisite gardens. The architecture featured classic styles with intricate detailing, and large windows that offer breathtaking views of the surroundings.
Lily knew that the Grey Blood Pack had money, but she didn't expect to be this wealthy. She never researched any of the other packs because money wasn't her priority nor did her parents bother educating her on them.
'It makes sense now why Mandy went after Matthew. She couldn't help herself with all this money,' Dina said.
"Come," Garrett said when he noticed that Lily didn't step forward. He gripped her hand tightly. The warmth of the palm and the feel of his Alpha aura nexpectedly reassured her.
Lily glanced back at him, just into his deep eyes. Her heart skipped a beat and she didn't have the courage to look at him anymore. She looked down and then heard his words in a gentle, soft tone, "Don't be afraid. I'm with you."
Garrettt was right. There was nothing to be afraid of. Garrett was by her side and he wouldn't let anything happen to her.
They went into the house and only saw one omega in the living room while Alpha Jack was still upstairs. Garrett asked the omega to familiarize her with the surroundings while he was going to call his father to come down.
"Come Luna Lily. I will show you around," the omega said and Lily smiled at her.
The old house was luxurious, with private cinemas, indoor swimming pools and some huge nurseries in the back garden. The nurseries were indoor and heated. So, the flowers were in bloom. The morning breeze brought the fragrance of the flowers to her.
"This is so amazing that you could maintain something like this," Lily said as she admired the flowers.
"This is all Luna Kelly's doing. She doesn't let us tend to the nurseries only the gardens. She believes that there should be a little bit of summer all the year long," the omega explained.
"I want to stay here for a little bit alone just to walk," Lily said.
"Yes ma'am. I will bring you some tea to keep you warm," the omega stated. She bowed and then left to let Lily walk around the garden by herself.
Lily continued to walk and started to take note of the flowers that she would like to have at Garrett's villa. She did not know that just after the omega left, a pair of gloomy eyes in the dark fell upon her.
While Lily was walking on the path back to the pack house, she heard footsteps coming from behind. Her body went rigid as she didn't smell that anyone was near due to the overpowering scent of the flowers.
Lily thought it was the previous maid who came back to her, so she said, "You don't have to follow me. I'm already familiar with..."
She stopped midsentence when she turned around and saw a man instead. Lily didn't recognize him, but he looked familiar somehow. He was dressed in a long sleeved blue dress shirt with black slacks. He has a tall and lean stature, standing at around six feet tall. His face is chiseled and angular, hinting at a strong jawline and high cheekbones that add to his overall allure. His skin has a slight olive tone. He was a very handsome man, but his deep brown eyes held a dangerous glint to them.
'Be careful Lily! He has bad intentions,' Dina warned her.
"Who are..." Lily started.
Before she finished her words, the man had suddenly rushed over and held her in his arms. Lily brought her arms up defensivelessly and the man pinned them to her chest as he held her in place. She smelled the strong alcohol as he swam in liquor!
"I never knew there were so many beautiful girls hiding in the old fool's home! Why be the old man's mistress? You can be mine, then you'll have wealth and status! Ha-ha, you look so beautiful and have a sexy body!"
Lily barred her teeth and growled low in her throat. "Get your hands off me! I am no one's mistress!" His disgusting hands wildly fumbled around her body.
"Oh! You're feisty too! I love a challenge," the man laughed in her face and Lily struggled hard against him. He didn't have the powerful aura of an Alpha but he clearly outranked her. All Lily needed to do was get free. If she didn't, this drunk was going to rape her.
'Call for help! Bring Garrett to us!' Dina pleaded.
"Help!" Lily screamed, but the man covered her mouth. Then, Lily took the opportunity to bite him hard. The man yanked his hand back and Lily screamed again, "Help!"
The man backhanded her across the face. Lily instinctively snapped at him again and he struck her harder leaving her dazed. There was an impatient look on the man's face, which made him look evil. He covered her mouth and nose to make her breathless.
"You bitch! Shouting and biting me! Do you know who I am? I am the grandson of Alpha Jack! You worthless omega! You need to learn your place. All you have to be is obedient and you can have whatever you want. Don't act like this isn't what you want dressing like that. Don't scream, you little bitch, not yet anyway!"
