The Omega’s Second Chance Mate

CHAPTER 13 Call Alpha Garrett as Well

Ch. 13 / 208 Apr 30, 2026

Lily kept touching where Garrett cupped her face the entire way to the pack grounds. He was so gentle with her. It was cute but also alarming. He was the complete opposite of what people said about him.

'He's just like us. They underestimated us because we're Omega. They thought we would cry over Matthew instead we made him cry,' Dina said proudly. It was true. It was unheard of a she-wolf rejecting her mate and especially not an Omega. Lily grinned at the thought that they would keep showing them that they made a grave mistake crossing her.

Lily made it back onto her father's territory. The gammas who were the security and guards of the pack let her in as she was still part of the pack even if her father basically sold her off. It also helped that she was always kind to them even when she didn't have to.

"Stay in the car, Adam," Lily said as she was getting out.

"But, my Luna, Alpha Garrett told me to be with you at all times," Adam protested.

Lily paused for a second after being referred to as a Luna. She never thought anyone would refer to her as that. 'Nothing has changed, Lily. We will still be a Luna just not with that asshat of a wolf, Matthew,' Dina said.

This was true especially if Garrett didn't find his mate and even though he was the second born son, that didn't mean he couldn't create his own pack. He already lived in the neutral area which she was sure he did on purpose, so his father couldn't influence him too much.

"Don't worry about me," Lily said after recovering from the shock. "They won't hurt me especially if they think Garrett will keep giving them money. It'll be fine. If anything happens, I'll call for you," Lily reassured him and Adam nodded.

Lily got out of the car and walked up to the pack house. She pushed open the door and unexpectedly heard the voice of Mandy and Brandy.

"Brandy, I don't understand why you are still stressing over this. You don't have to be mated to that ugly reject wolf Garrett. You have Matthew. Even if Garrett is rich, I will only need to speak with Alpha Jack and that money will belong to you and Matthew as well as any of his inheritance. Matthew is just mourning that mate bond. He'll come to his senses soon," Mandy said in an attempt to reassure Brandy.

"Mom, that's not the point. I would still have to speak to that bitch Lily as if we are sisters! It's not fair!" Brandy said with some reluctance.

"Well, do you really think that Garrett would want Lily? Let's be honest. He didn't even show up to the rejection ceremony. Clearly, he doesn't want her. As long as you have your mating ceremony, you will be the new Luna of Grey Blood pack, a lady of honor. Even if she does become Garrett's mate, she will still have to respect you. You can expel her from the pack if you really want to," Mandy explained.

"That's true, Mom. A bastard doesn't deserve to be in our pack. Rest assured, I will get rid of her. I swear I'll make the bitch as miserable as if she's in hell for the rest of her life," Brandy swore.

Lily felt hurt and confused after what she heard. Was she really a bastard? Was that why they never got along?

It made sense. She felt it in her heart that they were not related. Lily looked nothing like Brandy and Mandy. While they had long blonde hair and green eyes, she had brown hair like her father's and silver eyes that must've been from her mother.

"Oh! You're back. Ready to grovel at the feet of your future Luna," Brandy said cruelly as she finally noticed Lily standing there in the doorway of the room. "I guess the cat's out of the bag now. I don't know why Daddy didn't tell you that you were a filthy bastard."

"Shut your mouth, slut," Lily responded, shocking Brandy. Mandy stood, stormed over to Lily, and slapped her across the face. Lily didn't even flinch at the blow.

"You watch your tongue girl. That is your future Luna and you will respect her," Mandy warned.

Lily scoffed and rolled her eyes. "By being a whore," Lily retorted. "Are you really proud of her?"

"You think you are so much better than her, huh? Your mother came to us after you were born demanding money. She traded you for just two grand. I took you in when I didn't have to," Mandy said.

'Don't believe her Lily! She is just making up lies,' Dina said.

'I know,' Lily responded.

"You're the daughter of some druggie whore and you act this way. You should be happy that I didn't leave you in the gutter to freeze to death. With how you're acting, that's where I should've left you," Mandy continued.

"Maybe you should've. Or better yet maybe you should have raised your daughter to be a better person than what she is. I didn't ask to be here. I didn't ask for any of this," Lily snapped back at Mandy.

Everything made perfect sense now. It was understandable that when the Blue Creek pack was met with a crisis, it was not Brandy but she that would be used to solve all the problems. Even so, Lily didn't think Mandy actually harbored any ill intent towards her. Clearly, she was wrong.

"Your father was always too lenient on you. You had this coming and I will put you in your place," Mandy said as she raised her hand to strike Lily again.

Lily looked Mandy firmly in her eyes. Dina was fighting against her will, bursting to get through. They could never out fight a Luna, but she would make sure Mandy regret touching her.

"Do it. I dare you," Lily growled with a newfound confidence.

"You little..." Mandy swung at Lily but her wrist was caught by Adam, who had entered after hearing the raised voices. His face was deadly serious as he gripped Mandy's wrist tightly.

"I am going to have to ask you to refrain from striking my Luna," Adam said as he gingerly moved Lily behind him.
