The Knights

(Master of Deception) 20

Ch. 233 / 308 Apr 01, 2025

Astreille took a deep breath as she adjusted the clothes she was wearing for the training her boss said.

Teodore and Ephraim are helping her to hold the sword. They help her prepare so that their boss won't scold her.

"B-Maybe I'll punch the boss later," he cried, complaining to Teodore.

The four guys burst out, laughing at what she said. "Why are you so nervous, Astreille? Later when it's just the two of you, fix it, they might throw you out of the building," Greg threatened her.

Kyel punched the person next to him hard. "You're still scared, you're really stupid. You seem to have forgotten that Astreille is a woman. Can Ephraim ask?"

The man looked at it very seriously. "Oh, pre?"

"Is this Greg's man?"

They both laughed out loud when they saw Greg's expression, the man quickly slapped Kyel. "Thick as your face, you're just a slave to hell."

"You're still fighting and you're just the same level as my corn," Teodore boasted next to him.

The two men were about to answer when they both stopped when the door opened. Astreille swallowed multiple times before hiding behind the four men.

She's not even ready for this. Maybe instead of being good, he'll kill everyone here because of his clumsiness.

"Where's Astreille?"

Her body grew cold when the four men left, she pouted her lips before looking at Teodore who was just treating her.

"The four of you, leave," coldly commanded their boss in front.

Astreille wanted to complain and just ran away but she was afraid of Xord's cold treatment.

"Goodluck, Astreille! You can do that!" Kyel mouthed.

Teodore waved his hand before smiling. He mouthed goodbye.

So did the two smiling men who waved at him to say goodbye. When they're finally out, Xord goes closer to the door before locking it.

It approached him before he leaned against the wall. Her knees automatically softened because of his deep stare.

"I can't believe that I'll be able to train a beautiful woman today," husky said.

Her cheeks blushed and she knew it was the man's attention.

"T-Thank you p-po," she said before bowing her head politely.

Xord chuckled with that, it stood up properly before getting serious again. "We'll start at physical combat, come here."

He followed it into the middle of the room. He saw the punching bag in the middle. Xord took her hands before letting her wear boxing gloves. She even swallowed as she looked at the serious man as if he was still being served.

She cleared her throat when Xord stood in front of the punching bag. "Show me your strongest punch, you should be able to make this punching bag move, even just a little bit."

She was blown away by what he said. Even just a little bit. It was as if what it meant was that he couldn't punch hard.

She was shocked when Xord let out a straight and quick punch on the punching bag. He was even amazed at the force as if the punching bag would be received with that blow.

"Go," Xord assisted her.

He bit his lower lip before taking his place where the man had been standing. He took a deep breath before releasing the blow.

"Ouch," she moaned tearfully when the non-effect returned.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she felt the pain in her fist. Add to that the laughter of his boss by his side.

She quickly wiped her tears before bowing her head. "S-I'm sorry b-boss, it's really a pain," he explained crying.

The man approached her before standing behind her. He accompanied her back in her place, in front of the punching bag, by touching her waist.

It touched his shoulder before it dropped to his arm. She can feel the tingling sensation with his touch.

"First," he whispered in her right ear. "You should focus on your target, Astreille. Gather all these things within 2 seconds. One, focus on your target's strength, two, observe the target's speed. And three, strengthen your arm, as if you were punching grass," he rebuked. it's to him.

She bit her lower lip before nodding her head politely. "S-Sorry, I-I can't fight. I-Maybe when I rush on your missions, I might be the d-cause of our death. Boss, s-go ahead, I really don't want to," he begged for it before looking back.

The eyes of the front narrowed. "You always see yourself as a fragile glass and I don't like it, Astreille. You can do more than that, you're just scared to know that you're able to kill a person."

It stepped closer. "You're an angel, an innocent angel and I am aware of that. But what if someone attacks your family and you can't even do anything to save them? That's too much guilt."

Astreille's eyesight immediately darkened at what was heard. "I don't want to. They can't move my family. "

Xord smirked devilishly. "You'll fight them? Those bastards?"

"I can even kill them if they try to do it," he replied coldly and directly.

"You'll kill them?"

"Torture you mean?" clarification of the maiden while the expression was still dark.

"See what anger can do to you, Astreille. I'm glad that I am the first person to witness how scary you are." He realized when he heard what it said.

She immediately covered her mouth. "N-No, I won't do that, I'm s-sorry. I'm not killing," he explained tearfully.

Xord just let out a laugh. "You're not killing?"

"No," he sobbed.

"But they'll kill your family if you don't put them first," the young man added.

"I said no! I don't want to!" the maiden cried out in anger.

"So at that point, you can kill a person, right?"

"Yes."

"Noted." The man in the middle faced again while still smiling.

"It's nice seeing that side of you, baby, Teodore and those bastards will surely tremble in fear if they're here."

Astreille covered her face because of that. He sends his anger too much, because he doesn't want everyone to aggravate his family. He was really losing himself.
