Xord massaged his nape while going upstairs. He softly opened the door of the maid's room before no noise entered.
He can't stay awake any longer, he feels like his head will explode in pain.
He sat down on the bed quietly before massaging his forehead. What he did didn't help at all so he fell to the ground.
He looked at the angel sleeping peacefully by his side. In an instant all the pain he was feeling was gone. He smiled a little before facing Astreille.
He gently stroked the girl's cheek before hugging her tightly. He kept on kissing her forehead to ease the pain he's feeling. It was like a bubble that lost everything he was working on because he hugged the girl.
"I love you so much, Astreille," he whispered beneath his breath while looking intently at her beautiful face.
He held his lips before stealing a kiss. "I never want to ruin your innocence and your soft-hearted heart. But you need to protect yourself from anyone, baby. I'm sorry," he added.
Xord lifted the girl's head before placing it on her arm. He covered their bodies with the comforter before hugging her body tightly.
"Goodnight, baby."
Astreille rolled her eyes cautiously as the sunlight hit her face. He touched his cheek before turning to the man next to him. She immediately flashed a sweet smile when she saw Chord's peaceful face while sleeping. She gazed at the wall clock, it's 9AM already. He was taken aback this morning, around noon when he heard Chords faint moan because of his headache.
She just hugged him tight, and automatically, he stopped groaning.
He carefully removed his outstretched arm from her waist. She carefully gets off from the bed before wearing her slippers.
Without any noise he left the room to go down to the living room, he was even surprised to see Ephraim on the long sofa sleeping. Maybe it didn't follow Kyel into the room. Astreille quickly ran upstairs to get an extra blanket, when she came downstairs she immediately hugged the sleeping young man.
The girl quietly arranged the laptops on the table. She also picked up the pieces of trash on the floor. Make sure they are very tired so there is no time to fix and clean, well it's okay for her since she can do it by herself.
When she finished tidying up the living room, she went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for them. She wore an apron before preparing.
She just cooked fried eggs, bacon, hotdogs and fried rice. He also cooked soup for them. He set aside the one for Xord because he put medicine in the young man's food. After preparing the breakfast she cooked, she walked towards the rooms where the men slept.
Without a noise she opened a room where Kyel was sleeping soundly, she then opened the other room. Teodore and Greg were there, both asleep. She let out a mischievous laugh before closing the door.
He covered the cooked food first before heading straight to the living room. He took a pillow before slightly lifting Ephraim's head, he carefully placed the pillow under it to make it more comfortable to sleep.
She took the remote to the table before opening the television. He just turned down the volume so that the man with him would not wake up. He frowned when the news immediately appeared on TV.
"Accident in Quezon City from 5 years ago. Wait, dad was involved in an accident 5 years ago. Is that it?" she questioned himself before focusing on the news.
While watching, it was there that he confirmed the suspicion. It was his dad's case, but why did the police open it again?
"According to the police report, this case was reopened on suspicion that the accident was intentional. The police are still busy gathering evidence to substantiate the appeal. Former general Asero Heveiana was one of the most trusted police officers at the time. it's still alive. " The girl was left speechless as she tried to process the news in her mind.
He could not understand, according to the news, the police reopened his father's case about the accident that led to his death. The police are having doubts that it was really an accident.
Astreille wiped the tears from her eyes as she thought of her father. He's a good man, a good father. Every day with him, he made her feel special and protected. He's a loyal husband but her mother is a big fool to find someone else. Now, from what he heard, he couldn't imagine who might have been his father's enemy to kill him.
Astreille wiped her face before looking up. There was anger around his eyes. If ever that someone really killed his dad intentionally and just turned it all out to be an accident. She has no choice but to use her power and her strength to find out who that demon is.
"I'll make sure that I'll kill you first before you even get away from what you did. I won't let you go free if you take my dad away from me. I won't just fucking kill you, I'll torture you to death, "she whispered with her clenched jaw.
The girl quickly got up from her seat before going straight to the bedroom. Ephraim was left awake as he watched the girl walk away.
"Fuck. What the hell was that? She's scary as fuck," he whispered, unbelievably.
He even heard the cheapness and the emphasis in each word that surprised him. Astreille is not the type of girl who can say those words. Torture, Xord can only do that, and a beautiful innocent girl like her can't do it.
Ephraim sat quietly before gazing at Astreille's back.
"Who exactly are you, Astreille?" the young man whispered weakly. "You looked like a simple girl but it doesn't feel right to me. You're hiding something from us. It's anger. And I never want to see it again," Ephraim said frustrated before tweaking himself.
He was still cold at the sight of anger that landed in the girl's eyes. Aside from Xord, the girl is already one of the ones he fears will get angry.
