"Make sure to gather all the information they hold. Record the conversations of the higher officials also, we can use it against them," Xord said coldly as he threw the boxes containing the devices at the men.
The four men quickly caught the boxes before saluting the man. "We're going, sir."
Astreille just looked at the four men who were now walking away from them.
She took a deep breath before adjusting the dress she was wearing. Xord let her wear an all-black outfit, it was also worn by the others so she no longer refused. Astreille hates the color black but she's starting to love it.
"You'll be fine, baby. I'm here with you. Still nervous?" He turned to the side when it asked him.
Astreille smiled before shaking her head. "I'm not nervous. I'm just changing," she answered.
"You're not stuttering right now while talking to me," the man added, smiling.
Astreille smiled seductively. "Didn't you tell me that I am your girlfriend now, Xord? Do couples stutter when they talk?"
Astreille looked at a man behind Xord who was staring at them. She has to act like they're a sweet couple, it seems like these guys around them are observing everyone.
Xord cleared his throat. "Still watching?" it asked him.
The girl was even surprised when she heard that, maybe he also noticed it.
"Netflix? I don't do netflix, baby. I can watch you all day," the girl replied before gently kissing the young man on the cheek.
She quickly pulled the dagger from her pocket before hitting the guy's neck. The man scratched his neck before finally falling to the ground.
"One down. Let's go," Astreille uttered before pulling Xord.
"My baby is really improving." Xord quickly shoots another man from a distance. Good thing that his gun has a silencer. No one will hear the noise.
"Because my teacher is good," the girl whispered while her face was still blushing.
"Yeah, and you called me baby a while ago," Xord said while chuckling.
"That was for a show!" the girl's defense.
"But you sound so sexy while saying it." Astreille slapped the young man's arm before pulling it to make their walk even faster.
Without flickering Xord fired at all the guards in their path. They're entering the backdoor of the museum so no one will notice the chaos they started.
"Hurry up. Kyel and I have already entered," Astreille said confusedly before quickly climbing the stairs to go up to the CCTV room.
Xord clenched his jaw before punching the man's face in front of him. He heard the crack of its jaw so he quickly followed the girl upstairs.
He proudly smirked when he saw three men lying on the floor, Astreille executed them perfectly.
On the other hand the maiden's attention remained on the monitors in front of her. She heard the door opened and she knew it was Xord.
"How's it?" he asked before walking towards the computers.
Astreille took over the keyboard before manipulating the time in the CCTV. He made sure he changed the time even the position where the cameras were facing.
She also removed some parts of the footage where it caught Kyel and Teodore roaming around.
"Done. Let's follow them. I saw Ephraim running towards the basement," the girl said quickly before standing up on the seat.
"The devices. Hack it, we need to hear the conversation of the officials. Maybe Ephraim heard it already, there's something inside the basement," the young man replied as he walked down the stairs.
"Kyel, Teodore, Greg. Following Ephraim to the basement, he ran towards the left side of the aisle, near the president's office. I need you to back him up," Xord communicated through the earpiece.
"Affirmative, sir."
"Astreille--" The man turned behind him but also immediately stopped when he saw it wasn't there. "Fuck, baby?"
He quickly climbed up to look for the girl.
"Argh! Get off me!" He heard her voice from the left side.
"Astreille!"
Xord quickly shoots the man holding the woman's hand. Astreille on the other hand quickly kicked the other man who attacked her.
The girl pulled the gun to the side before shooting the man in the head.
"Baby!" Xord shouted in confusion as Astreille ran in one direction.
The girl repeatedly fired in the direction in front of her where the man she was chasing ran.
She was about to run faster but Xord caught her arms.
"What the hell, Astreille. What are you thinking!" it's an angry cry.
Astreille looked behind the old man who was now walking away. "I s-saw his face, Xord. It's my mother's other man! She cheated with my father with that asshole!"
Xord rubbed both of the girl's cheeks when he saw the anger in her eyes. "Astreille, baby, calm down, please?"
"No! You stopped me from killing that man! I thought he was dead, everyone believed that he was gone but all that is just a show. Xord, I need to know if that idiot had anything to do with my father's death! "The girl sighed angrily.
Xord hugged the girl tightly before kissing her on the head. "Baby, shh. Calm down. Breathe."
Astreille is raging in fire, she pushes him hard. "You told me to kill everyone who killed my dad. And I know he had something to do with it, Xord! But why are you stopping me right now ?! I hate you!"
"You can't kill him, Astreille."
"Why ?! Because you said so ?! You clearly told me that I can eliminate them--"
"He is Ephraim's father."
"W-What?"
"Your mother and that man had an affair and a child even before your dad and your mom had you. Ephraim is your brother, Astreille, you wouldn't like to kill your brother's father because of that reason you're not sure yet," the young man added.
Astreille took a step backward with that news.
"W-What? Ephraim is my b-brother?"
