"You can cook Filipino foods? I thought h-you're not eating," Astreille uttered while washing the vegetables.
Xord just chuckled as he chopped the meat. "Chefs don't buy what to cook, baby. We cook and we eat everything."
Astreille nodded her head slowly before handing over the vegetables to be washed. "It's still the boss, I'll just check the roasted chicken. Then we'll cook the kare-kare."
Before he could get away from the young man, he immediately pulled him to kiss him on the lips. She stood frozen with his sudden action.
"B-Why?" he stuttered asking the man.
He flashed a mischievous grin. "An appetizer."
The girl's eyes widened before weakly striking the man's chest. "You've got a lot, b-boss. What if someone came in and saw us, edi baka--"
"Let them think that way, I wouldn't mind," smiling, cutting him off of it.
She just shut her mouth before walking towards the gas stove. She checked if the chicken was doing fine, she smiled when she smelled the fragrant aroma of the food.
She immediately covered the lid before clapping her hands in excitement. "Yey!"
When he took care of the young man, he just smiled as he stared at him. "You're happy?"
The smiling girl nodded. "Yes! Super."
"Come here." He gestured to Astreille to come closer, which the girl immediately followed.
As soon as she got near him, the man immediately wrapped one of his arms around the girl's waist before kissing her gently on the forehead.
"I'm glad that you can laugh comfortably like that in front of everyone. Please continue being happy, Astreille," he whispered to her ears.
Tearful eyes hugged the back of the man. "Thank you."
"You're always welcome, baby."
Astreille wiped her tears away before getting back to work. Her every move was careful to watch the man who was an expert at slicing the ingredients.
She assigned Xord with the knife, she'll handle the rest. After all, he didn't want the young man to get too tired of what he was doing.
It took them 1 hour to finish all the meals. Astreille is so proud of the outcome, when she let the man taste her dishes, he commended her for being great in this field.
"I'll just call them to eat," Xord said while Astreille is busy preparing the food.
The girl who was busy setting the table did not answer him. Xord just smiled a bit before walking out. The man went straight to the living room where there were four men busy doing.
"Fucktards, eat first before that. I'll join you later with those things," he said coldly to them.
Teodore straightened up in his seat. "Thank you! My pets can eat in their stomachs too!"
Unbeknownst to her, the man returned to the kitchen where the girl was. He was followed by four men who were still arguing as they approached their place.
"Smell! You cooked it all, princess?" Kyel excitedly asked the girl while sitting down.
Astreille sat beside Xord before nodding her head. "We're both bosses."
"Nah, I just helped her with the ingredients. She cooked all of these," the young man said proudly before holding the girl's hand under the table.
Astreille smiled sweetly before gesturing to the four men. "Eat it."
"Filipino foods? This is my first time tasting something like this," Ephraim said before taking a bite.
Three men followed him.
Astreille bit her lower lip in nervousness.
"Woah. It's delicious. What's this, princess?" Teodore asked curiously as he applauded the beef porridge.
"Porridge beef," she answered.
Pleasure immediately registered on the girl's face when she saw that she enjoyed her cooking.
"BOSS, over here. The intelligence team has other informations s-in-end for me to build up the software, but they haven't optimized those things yet," Ephraim said seriously while Xord was next to the long sofa.
Astreille glanced at them from the stairs. They are obviously busy with their work. She's just watching them because she doesn't know much about their jobs. She can hack, that's all.
The girl sighed before going straight to the bedroom. She changed her clothes when she felt uncomfortable wearing it. He just changed into a white pajama suit before going down to the living room.
Obviously it doesn't have its attention around because of too much focus. She went directly to the kitchen before preparing some snacks and drinks for the men outside.
When she put it all on the tray, she carefully carried it into the living room. She carefully put the tray on the table.
Xord looked up at him. He gestured to the vacant space beside him, Astreille immediately walked beside the young man.
"Aren't you going to sleep yet? It's 1AM already, you might be tired," he worriedly promised the young man.
"We need to finish these things tomorrow before the afternoon. It's okay, we'll be fine," Xord answered while his eyes were still focused on the laptop.
The girl clung to the man's arm before leaning against it. His biceps are too stiff because of working straight 6 hours. After eating these, go straight to the front of the laptops to start work.
Xord flashed a mischievous smile when he saw Astreille beside him. He couldn't take the smile off his lips as his soft cheek pressed against his arm.
He noticed how Astreille's head slowly drifted off. Her eyes were shut closed, he could even feel her deep breathing.
The man carefully touched the girl's cheek to support her head. He carefully lifted her body up to carry her inside her room.
"Astreille has failed. He's been watching us for a while, he seems to feel sorry for our situation," Ephraim said while smiling.
"I'll just take her to her bedroom. Continue," Xord said coldly before climbing the stairs lifting Astreille's light body.
He opened the door with his foot. He carefully laid the girl down on the bed before covering her.
Smiling he caressed the cheek of the angel in front of him before it stole a kiss on the lips. "Sleep tight, my love. I love you."
