Astreille glared at her father who's sitting in front of her. "For how long are you going to keep me inside this shitty place?"
"I'm waiting for your Knight in Shining Armor, my dear daughter. Xord Knights need to find us first before I even kill you. I want to meet him face to face. It's a rare opportunity to meet Knights." He grinned devilishly.
Astreille angrily struggled from being tied to the chair. "You piece of trash. Don't involve Xord in all your evil!"
"I'm not a demon, Astreille. You know that. You used to call me daddy, your guardian angel." There was teasing in the tone of his father's answer.
She chuckled. "I thought you were an angel. But you're also a demon pretending."
"Shut up!"
Her father stood up angrily before pointing the gun at the girl's senses.
Astreille was unshakable. She just laughed. "Go on, kill me. If I end up dead, Xord has no reason to come here at all. Go on, stab me, shoot me! In the end, you won't be rewarded either. You're just a lost trash in that place. "That's why you don't get anything, "she said.
His father's jaw clenched. He slowly lowered the gun he was holding while looking at him badly.
"Back then. You used to cry and say sorry whenever you're saying things to me. But now, you're answering me. You're not a cry baby anymore. Did Xord teach you how to act like a freaking grown up woman? " he asked while chuckling.
"Xord was there when I needed you the most, dad. You are my father so you should be the one who encouraged me but what did you do ?! You faked your own death so you can move freely and do whatever you want. I don't know what your purpose is and you brought me here, "the girl sighed.
Her father's face softened, but eventually it grinned devilishly. "I have my own reason and you're not in the place to know what kind of reason it is."
"I am your daughter for goodness sake!"
"You are not my daughter!"
The girl was shocked to hear what the father said. Even the man was stunned as well.
"W-What?" she uttered.
The man's chest rose lower as he watched her. "Yeah, you heard it right. I am not your father, Astreille. And that man you hate the most, the man you almost killed. That's your father!"
"No," she uttered softly before lowering her eyes.
Astreille stared blankly at the floor because of what she found out.
"Greg Heveiana is my-father? How's that even possible?" she asked crying.
"His surname. You didn't notice that you're carrying his fucking surname?" angry question of the father.
"I thought y-you guys were brothers. I never treated him like my uncle because he c-cheated with my mom. You told me you were brothers!" she shouted back.
"Fool! I will never be his brother. I will never want a fool like him to be his brother. Your mother cheated on me because of that man."
Astreille followed with her gaze every move of the man in front of her. He saw it sit in a nearby chair before fainting to lean back.
"You don't know what your father did to me, Astreille. Your mother who chose to leave me and be with that man just because I couldn't give her a child. Do you know how painful it is while watching my husband lie to me in front of me while telling me that I am the father of her second child? I fucking knew it from the start. I have a rare disease and I couldn't give your mom a child. She didn't know that I found out they had a son. So when they had children again, he made me his father so that I wouldn't have any doubts. " He slammed the table before gazing at Astreille who's crying right now.
"I told myself that I'll do everything to watch you suffer. I'm already thinking about what I'm going to do to you because I was enveloped in anger while your good mother was giving birth to you. But when I saw you, you're such an innocent angel and I told myself that it's not your fault. So I treated you like a child because that's how I feel! I tried to convince myself that you might be a child. Maybe there was a miracle, "he continued.
"W-What if I'm really your daughter? You could have check--"
"But when I t-took your DNA and that man's DNA, I confirmed it. You're not my daughter. Do you know how fucked up I was when that little chance vanished? Your mother and your father took everything from me. From the money I worked so hard for. Sobbing, the woman just watched the man as he cried and told the story.
She's not aware of his problems. He also didn't know that while he was with her, he already knew about his mother's attachment.
She's not aware of these things when he's still with her. It always makes him happy. He's been a good father for her even though he knows they're not really blood relatives.
"B-But, those twins you kidnapped decades ago. W-Why did you do that? Don't you know how much pain you caused the siblings and a child trapped in trauma? "

I ran away from that boy so I don't have to bring any conscience ! " He slammed the table again causing Astreille to flinch.
"B-But you're one of those monsters who made their life a living hell. You're no different from the people you hate. You're a monster too," she answered.
"No one was born to be a monster, Astreille. People create monsters within a person."
