Xord quickly put on his clothes when he saw that Astreille's not on the other side of the bed. He hurried out of the bedroom to look for the girl.
He bit his lower lip when he couldn't find her presence. The young man feels fear as he tries to find the bride's whereabouts.
He's afraid that she might leave him again.
No matter how many times she promised him that she'll never leave. Xord is still traumatized with what she did.
"Fuck," he cursed beneath his breath as he ran outside the penthouse.
His gaze immediately landed on the other side of the sidewalk before narrowing his eyes. He noticed a small thing on the ground so he immediately approached it.
The young man frowned when he saw that the call was not over. Jezreel's name is flashed on the screen.
"Fuck. Where the hell is Astreille ?!" Xord's angry cry.
"Oh gosh. Xord! Is this you? I didn't really turn off the call because I was waiting for someone to pick it up. I should be the one asking you, where's Astreille ?!" answer the maiden on the other line.
"I don't have a fucking idea. She left her phone here on the street. Fuck, I'm going insane," Xord said confusedly while tweaking himself.
"I think she's in danger. Before she drops the cellphone, I can hear her talking to some other guys."
Xord's fists clenched even more at what was heard.
"Call Ephraim for me. Tell him to go to the headquarters right away."
The man quickly dropped the call before running into the penthouse. The motion was so quick that he put on a dress and pants before running out again.
He rode inside the car with his clenched fists. There's only one thing running in her brain right now, that's to make sure her loved one is safe. He didn't know what he could do once he saw the bride hurt.
Astreille cried and sighed when she injured herself again. He tried to remove the rope that bound his hand but what he was doing did not work.
He just leaned back in the corner of the room while sobbing in fear.
He did not know where the men who arrested him took him. In the extreme darkness of the room, he did not know if it was morning or evening.
"Xord," she cried.
Astreille bit her lower lip hard before calming herself.
Xord taught her to be brave. Xord taught her to think wisely when she's in danger. She couldn't just cry on the side and wait for the man to save her.
He had to save himself because he did not know the purpose of his captors.
She bit her lower lip as she roamed her eyes around the whole room. There is no window in the room where he is. Only a bed and a small table.
He moved quickly and turned around at the table before placing the rope tied to his hand on the side of the table.
He scratched the rope with all his might to slowly break it. But he also stopped immediately when he heard a crack.
She sat quietly on the corner as two men approached her. They pulled him by the arm with all their might to stand up.
"Where are you taking me?" he asked boldly.
"Just follow!" the angry response of a man atsaka continued pulling him.
When she left the room, a dazzling light appeared on the girl. She closed her eyes and let herself adjust to the light.
When he was sure that he was no longer dazzled, he opened his eyes again and looked around.
Lots of men dressed in black around. Purely armed and obviously dangerous.
Astreille observed as the two men dragged her inside a room again. When he was sure that they were no longer in front of the crowd, Astreille quickly untied the loose rope and struck a man hard on the back of the neck.
She kicked the other man's knee as she knocked him off on the ground. He was about to run but another man quickly pulled his arm.
Astreille bit her lower lip as she attacked his neck. The woman angrily strangled the man even though his body was bigger than hers.
She smoothly kicked his head after choking him.
When he saw their bodies lying on the ground, he tried to step away but immediately stopped when he saw who the person in front of him was.
She gasped as she watched the man standing in front of her. The look hasn't even changed. Even with age, he also knows that every detail of its face is shady.
She faked a laugh. He could feel the watering of his eyes. "Wow. I really thought you were dead."
"How's your life without me, Astreille?" the man in front of her said.
The smirk on the girl's face disappeared. That was replaced by anger and hatred. "It's funny how everything changed in one snap. Before, I wished you were still alive and I hope you didn't just die. But now, after seeing your face. The owner of that face who committed a lot of crimes against those innocent people. I secretly wish you had just died! "He shouted in anger.
He grinned with that. "That's horrible. How dare you say that to your father?"
"The moment you lied to me about your true identity, I regretted being your daughter. The moment you used innocent people and harmed them, I despite you to death. I haven't seen you dad since you became a criminal!" She clenched her fists.
"Well, what can I do?" The man laughed devilishly. "I was born to be a monster."
"You just wouldn't have survived if that's the case," she said.
The man laughed. "Well, well, well, my dear daughter. The resurrection of demons cannot be prevented. Especially now that I have the power to eliminate every single person I want to eliminate, I'm satisfied with my life right now. And you 're aware of what demons do. " It grinned at him.
"Demons kill everyone who gets in their way. So be careful of your actions, Astreille. I can easily kill you in one snap."
