The Alpha's Broken Slave

Chapter 50

Ch. 50 / 60 May 03, 2026

Ares.

Alora's tear filled violet eyes haunted me.

I hated it. It was a weird feelings that made me feel weak. But at the same time, it felt like I was finally capable of any emotion other than hate and anger.

I sighed, running my hand through my hair as I ended the call with Seth who was already covering up for me for the meeting I was already late for. I shoved my phone into my pocket as I continued my way down the hallway.

My mind was clouded with the thought of Alora's melody and the sound of her tears and her tired sad eyes.

Fuck!

Why do I always feel this way when she cried?

It was obvious that she wasn't playing the piano to get on my nerves. If anything, Alora did anything she could to not make me angry. She hated being yelled out, loud noises and it was no wonder she enjoyed the piano.

It was soft and alluring.

Just like..

I shook my head. Whatever. The piano angered me and it wasn't my fault I didn't want to hear what reminded me of my past anymore.

Guilt filled my heart at my words. She had looked so broken and hurt when I called her a slave and took away any privileges I had given her earlier.

Truth my told, this whole fake lover thing was stressing me out and I was thinking of letting the plan go.

I was terrible at acting like I somehow liked Alora when it all reality I was a cold hearted apathetic Alpha.

Whatever, the elders were going to be here in two days and my plan was already failing. I guess I had to think of something else, it wasn't like Ezra was going to believe me anyway.

Fuck! Why didn't they just stay out my business?!

A sudden feeling ran through me and I stopped in tracks. My mark at my back tingled and I prepared myself for it's pain but this time it was different and I turned around.

Alora was gone.

My heart skipped a beat at the empty hallway and my blood ran cold as there was no sight of her. S thousand thoughts ran through my head.

Was she hurt?

Or she ran away from me?

A pang of hurt seeped though me as I blinked, confused as to why I even felt that in the first place. I ignored the feeling as I walked briskly back to the store to see if she had gone back to the piano.

But the store was empty save for the older man who was sleeping against his desk. The man had known my family but this was my first time meeting him.

Suddenly, Alora's scent filled my nose, this time it was accompanied with fear.

Lots of it.

I picked my pace, running down the hallways as I followed it outside the mall. My heart thumping loudly in my chest as it paced in rhythm with my feet storming the floor heavily.

My wolf felt agitated and I could quite place if it was scared either. Or if it was Alora's fear wafting through my nose.

Was she hurt?

Had she fallen again? She seemed to be very clumsy sometimes.

Or was it the escalator?

No. That was inside.

I pushed open the exit, feeling the hot sun heat against my skin as I looked around. The parking lot was filled with people and their different scent so it was hard to trace down Alora's.

Sighing and closing my eyes I focused all my scenes on Alora's scent and I was able to pinpoint it through the crowd of people.

I followed it to the back where there was a black van at one side of the road. And a black SUV where a familiar face stood, smiling at whatever was inside of it.

Alora.

It was her scent.

My blood ran cold as the man who I knew was Cameron, the human we had met earlier at the escalator. He slammed the door close with Alora in it and I wasted no time in running after him.

"Hey!" I yelled, making him shudder and turn to me. His brown eyes lightened with amusement as he smirked.

"What? You don't seem to like the girl. I'm only doing you a favor by taking her away." Cameron said, smirking at me before he scoffed and started to walk to the driver's seat.

"I'll be taking her now." I said, ignoring him as I went to the back door, ripping it open to see Alora lying on the back seat completely unconscious.

Her hand was falling off the seat and there was a red mark on it that looked like a needle had been pierced through it. And when my eyes drew to her face, my heart shattered.

There were tears over her soft round cheeks and her eyes were closed. Her clothes heaved but didn't look like she had been touched in any manner.

"Beautiful, isn't she? She would make a good replacement for my master." Cameron chuckled.

My blood ran cold at the thought of Alora belonging to anyone else other than me. The thought of someone touching her in unpleasant ways, or adding more scars to her body from her previous master didn't settle well with me.

Infact, it got me angry and I turned away from her at the human in front of me. There was a dark gleam in his eyes, and he folded his arms at me.

"Walk away. You're outnumbered." He said and I glanced briefly from the corner of my eyes at the black van a few meters away.

I could smell more humans in it, about three, two males and a female. I smirked, turning back to Cameron.

"You're no match for me. I'm not in the mood to fight. I'll be taking back what's mine." I said in a dangerous voice making Cameron shiver for a second before scoffing.

"She obviously left you and came running into my arms." He said cockily.

"If she did, why did you have to drug her then?" I asked him and he shrugged.

"I'm not sure, either way. She's mine now. So walk away while I go make my master happy with a new toy for him." Cameron said, slamming the back door shut but I grabbed his arm and twisted it backwards making him scream in pain.

Just as he did, I heard the black van open as the three humans jumped off it on black suits.

"Let him go." The woman shouted and I smirked, twisting Cameron's arm backwards as he yelled and tried to get away but I turned him to the rest of his team who stepped backwards in fear.

I could feel my wolf clawing at the back of my head, trying to get out. The fear of the humans sent him to a state of frenzy, hoping for more. If there was anything it fed off, it was fear and power.

"I can kill him with one move of my arm." I said yawning tiredly as Cameron tried to get away. But he was weaker than me in every way and I pushed him on the floor, throwing him to his teammates who ran to him and looked at me warily.

"I'm too bored to kill anyone." I said stepping backwards and back to the car when I heard the swift sound of someone taking out a gun, I moved my head slightly, feeling the bullet pass through my ear in a whoosh.

I growled, taking out my gun from my back pocket and turning to them. In one fast movement, I pulled the trigger between their eyes, making them fall to the floor dead.

Cameron dropped his gun, eyes widening as he looked around and realized he was alone. He tried to stand but fell again as his fear filled the air.

"Please.. spare me.." he choked out and I smirked, walking to him and shooting both his legs. Cameron screamed in pain and it sounded like music to my ears before I heard the sound of the police from a mile away.

I groaned, kicking Cameron's gun away. "You're lucky the police are here." I said before turning away from him and back to the car this time, I ripped the car door open.

Alora still laid unconscious and I got in, scoping her into my arms as I sighed in relief at her body pressed against mine. I stared down at her sleeping frame and my blood ran freely in my veins, leaving me in a state of relief.

I adjusted Alora in my arms and stepped away from the car, stepping on one of Cameron's team members and making him scream at me.

"You bastard! Who are you anyway?!" He yelled angrily and I smirked not turning to him.

"Ares Delgado." I responded, making him gasp in shock. I wasted no time as I left the back heading to my car. The once happy mall parking lot was now filled with people running about to their cars as the police siren drew closer.

I adjusted Alora in my arm as I pressed the keys to my car, throwing open the door and placing her in the back seat. She sighed softly, more tears rolling down her cheeks as if she was crying in her dream.

My heart ached suddenly and I wiped away one of the tears from her face before I trailed down her face to her lips.

Kiss her!

What! No way!

I stepped away, shutting the door close after making sure Alora was in safely before I headed to the driver's license when sharp pain filled my side.

Looking down, I noticed a blood stain on the left side of my stomach. That bastard must have shot me twice but I hadn't realized.

It stung and I gritted my teeth at the pain before I pulled the door open, got in and headed back to the estate. I dialed Seth's number immediately, he picked on the second ring.

"Alpha! The meeting started an hour ago." He said angrily and I hissed in pain.

"I need you to clean something up for me." I said, making Seth groan.

"I killed three humans and the last one is in critical condition. Take care of it." I said, groaning in pain as I took a sharp turn, straining my torso.

"What? Why? Where? Ugh, don't tell me it was because of Alora." Seth grumbled and I could imagine him rubbing his eyes tiredly.

I glanced at Alora through the rear mirror and I sighed. "It's because of her. She was about to be taken by some abductors. I couldn't let that happen." I said, looking back at the road.

"And why couldn't you? It would be better that way with the elders coming it's best she's not in the picture." Seth said and I said nothing in response to that, making him sigh.

"Fine. I'll send a team to clear that up. Are you coming back to the office?" He asked and I hissed at the pain. It's been a while since I had gotten shot. I looked down briefly at the pool of blood around my stomach, I could feel the bullet in my torso and every movement had me growling in pain.

"No. I've been shot. Send Isabel to the estate. I'll be there soon with Alora." I said, turning into my pack entrance that was located a little far from the human community. My estate was just at the end of the pack, a bit close to the borders.

"Are you ok?" Seth asked worriedly and I rolled my eyes.

"I have metal buried inside me and blood pooling in my torso. Of course I am." I said, making Seth sigh tiredly.

"Ok, I'll send Isabel now. I'll be coming back."

"No! I need you at the office to take care of things. I'll be fine."

"How about Alora? Is she ok?" Seth asked and I looked at her once more through the rear mirror. She didn't look to be in any pain as she slept.

"She would be." I responded and Seth sighed again.

"Why?"

"Why what?" I asked confused, turning right onto my estate.

"Why did you save her?" He asked and I frowned, pulling the car to a stop as I parked in front of my home, shutting the car as I turned to Alora. She looked so peaceful now and very beautiful with her black hair around her. The memory of her crying and yelling at me filled my head and I realized her words had gotten through me.

Her scars were visible and I ran my eyes through them all.

She had been through a lot already and it was only fair she wasn't taken by someone else and enslaved all over again.

I suddenly felt different towards her. Her music filled my head and I actually wanted to hear her play the piano again. I wanted to hear her sing.

"I don't know." I told Seth but I knew that was a lie.

I wanted her with me. And no one else.
