Third Person's POV
At 3 p.m., a deep - blue coupe pulled up outside the Lawrence Group's hall. The door opened, and a petite figure stepped out.
It was Jessica, who, feeling bored at the company, decided to visit Cedrick at his office without informing him beforehand.
She arrived unannounced, feeling a thrill, disguised in sunglasses and a small hat. But she was stopped and had to go to the front desk.
The receptionist eyed her, and Jessica, pulling down her hat brim, said in a clear voice, "I'm Cedrick's niece. I need to see him. Could you please make a call for me?"
The receptionist, noticing Jessica's designer attire and the large diamond ring on her finger, quickly called Cedrick's assistant.
The receptionist knew Jessica was rich and dared not to let her wait for long.
Soon, the elevator doors opened, and Cedrick himself stepped out.
Cedrick came down himself!
Tall and handsome in a black suit, he exuded an imposing aura.
However, a slight smile appeared when he saw Jessica.
"Follow me." Cedrick said in a deep voice, turning towards the elevator.
Jessica, unsure of his mood, hurried after him.
She wondered if her sudden visit would interfere with his work.
Once inside the elevator, Cedrick reached out and pinned her against the wall with his hand.
"Why no call ahead? Hmm?" he asked, a hint of displeasure in his voice.
Jessica chuckled, "I wanted to surprise you!"
"What if I weren't here?" Cedrick raised an eyebrow.
Jessica widened her eyes and smiled, "I didn't think about that. I would have left if you weren't here."
Cedrick found her as mischievous as ever. He removed her sunglasses, revealing her delicate face. He couldn't hold it anymore.
Overcome with desire, he leaned down and gently kissed her lips.
"Call me next time." Cedrick said, a mix of blame and affection in his voice.
Jessica was delighted and promised, "Okay, I'll call you first next time. No more surprises." She then playfully asked for another kiss.
Cedrick was taken aback.
He'd never met a girl so bold.
While others might have been coy, she simply asked for what she wanted.
"To my office. Not convenient here." Cedrick said, not wanting the surveillance team to see this.
Jessica pouted but followed as Cedrick put her sunglasses back on.
They entered his office.
The moment they entered, Jessica wrapped her arms around Cedrick's neck and asked with a smile, "Convenient now?"
Cedrick, unable to resist her allure, responded with a passionate kiss.
Cedric didn't need to answer at all, he simply replaced them with actions.
They kissed passionately and tumbled onto the plush sofa, completely lost in each other's embrace.
This was the first time Cedrick had been so unreserved and uninhibited in his office, with nothing on his mind but kissing and holding Jessica tightly in his arms.
But the door opened, and in walked Benjamin and Howard, stunned at the sight.
Cedrick and Jessica froze, then looked up to see the astonished faces of the two men.
Cedrick cursed under his breath and quickly adjusted his clothes. He then gently lifted Jessica off the sofa, stepped in front of her to let her fix her disheveled dress.
Benjamin and Howard were visibly embarrassed.
"Y - you two..." Benjamin stammered, finding it hard to believe. His brother had always been mature and composed, never losing control.
That wild man on the sofa couldn't be him!
Cedrick's face turned grim. After a glance at Jessica, who had tidied her clothes, he asked coldly, "What's the matter?"
Benjamin shook his head. "Nothing. Just bringing Howard by for a chat."
