My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 437

Ch. 437 / 530 May 01, 2026

"Is your hand better?" Olivia nervously checked Olivia's left hand.

"Did you go to Leo's neighborhood last night?"

"Yes, I've been waiting at the entrance for days and came here specially to corner you today."

Sunny took her home. Olivia collapsed on the sofa and said, "Life on the run is exhausting."

Sunny poured a glass of water and asked, "Want something to eat?"

"Is there any food? I'm starving."

After Sunny bought food and returned, she found Olivia already fast asleep on the sofa. An hour later, a phone call woke Olivia up—it was Leo calling to urge her.

"Leo, I need to have lunch with my mom today. Is it okay if I come back to the company in the afternoon?"

Leo agreed readily.

Sunny lied to Leo. She was worried that Leo might ask questions or suggest coming with her.

Fortunately, Leo didn't say much and just asked her to come back early.

After hanging up, Sunny saw Olivia, who had been woken up, looking at her with panic.

Sunny's heart ached like being pricked by a needle.

Olivia, once carefree, now lived like a fugitive, avoiding the light.

"It was Leo, right? He's still good to you." Upon waking, Olivia looked dazed and had a complicated expression.

Sunny nodded. "He treats me well. He was angry with me before because of you, but later, for some reason, he came back to reconcile with me."

"He must truly be in love with you." Olivia smiled. Once, she, too, had met a man who truly loved her, but she came into his life too late. He was already married, and she was full of lies, eventually even causing his death. There was a kind of love that, though sincere, was regretfully late, had a beginning but no end, and could not be forced.

Sunny watched Olivia cry silently and became flustered, quickly asking, "Olivia, where have you been staying recently? If you have nowhere to go, you can stay here. My room is empty anyway."

"Sunny, how about you take me to meet Leo? I want to apologize to him." Olivia, seeming to have made up her mind, looked up and said resolutely to Sunny.

"No way, he'll send you to prison. Your whole life..." Sunny thought of the consequence and felt a strange tightening in her heart.

"But I can't keep running forever. Besides, he's so good to you, why should I still run?" Olivia said with a bitter smile, as if she had seen through everything, her mindset becoming calm.

Sunny's expression stiffened.

Yes, Leo was so good to her, yet she still wanted to help Olivia escape, still wanted to hide her whereabouts. No matter what she did, it seemed wrong.

"Olivia, I don't want to be the one to send you to prison. I can't do it!" Sunny wept, recalling all the kindness Olivia had shown her when she was little, feeling that Olivia loved her more than Moira.

"Foolish girl, why are you crying? I'm not afraid anymore!" Olivia smiled gently, then sighed, "I really don't want to run anymore. I have to pay my debts. Besides, I can't escape anyway. I don't want to cause any more trouble between you and Leo because of me."

Sunny looked at Olivia, who seemed to have made up her mind, still biting her lip and crying silently.

Olivia, seeing the girl in front of her crying her eyes out, suddenly remembered her guilt towards her. She wished that secret could stay buried forever.

"Come on, didn't you bring food back? I want to eat something!" Olivia got up, washed her face in the bathroom, and then sat at the table to eat.

Sunny sat beside her, watching her eat hastily, as if she hadn't had a decent meal in a long time.

"Olivia, where have you been these days? Did you go abroad?" Sunny asked with concern.

"No, I took a bus to a remote town," Olivia shook her head.

"Haven't you eaten properly these days? You've lost so much weight."

Olivia sighed, "If I had known this would be the result, I would have rather stayed in the town as an ordinary clerk than sell my conscience for money. Maybe at this age, I could still have a warm dinner with my husband and children."

After speaking, Olivia looked deeply at Sunny and said, "Sunny, have you visited your mom recently?"

"I did, but she's been busy living her own life. I don't want to bother her every day." Sunny said with self-mockery.

"Don't blame her. She's not having it easy either," Olivia said softly.

Sunny nodded, "I know. I don't blame her. I just hope she's happy!"

As they were sitting at the table eating, suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

Both Sunny and Olivia were startled, as if their souls had been frightened away.

Sunny's mind went blank. She immediately stood up, walked to the door, and looked through the peephole. Her blood seemed to freeze, and she panicked.

Olivia, seeing her expression, knew the visitor might be Leo.

She sighed and directly walked past Sunny to open the door.

Leo was holding quite a few things. Seeing that it was Olivia who opened the door instead of Sunny, his expression changed instantly.

Sunny quickly stood in front of Olivia, nervously asking, "Leo, why are you here?"

Her face was pale, all the blood drained, and she was at a loss.
