The moment David heard Ella's consent, he held her in his arms, resting his chin on her hair, David's voice choking. "You agree? I'm happy." David tightened his arms around Ella, every sob coming out of his mouth after the sentence.
"Of course, I won't let you leave me." Ella hugged David too, her voice like a statement.
"I won't let you leave me either." David smiled. Ella hugged David tightly, burying her face in his neck, and smiling happily.
They held each other for a while, Ella pushed him away a little, letting David look her in the eye. Ella sincerely told him.
"David, I love you."
"I love you too, Ella." David looked Ella straight in the eye, responding to her words. He placed a kiss on Ella's lips, gently caressing her lips.
The sound of fireworks continued to resound, glowing in the sky.
Booms rang out all around.
They let go of each other and looked up at the sky. Fireworks like flowers bloom in the night sky. It's so beautiful that one can't help but look at it.
The fireworks that shot up were visible in Ella's eyes she was looking at them intently.
Fireworks explode, signaling it's New Year's Eve.
No matter how beautiful the fireworks were, David did not look up, he looked down at the woman standing next to him, who was looking at the fireworks being fired into the sky, smiling.
To him, her smile is more beautiful than fireworks.
Suddenly, David hugged her tightly from behind.
Ella was startled, turning her face to look at the man holding her, curling her lips.
"Don't mind me. Watch the fireworks."
She didn't say anything for the time being, nor did she have any resistance to that hug.
David hugged her while looking up at the fireworks, his heart filled with joy.
David and Ella continued to give each other a passionate kiss containing all of their love under the brilliant fireworks display in the New Year's Eve sky.
Feeling the family atmosphere not long ago, the vacation was over, and Ella had to leave, not knowing when she would be able to visit home. One week at home, there is so much happiness, every day I can talk with my father, be nourished with many delicious dishes, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the town with David. Soon she gained weight, sparkling eyes, and a cheerful smile. Being with the people she loves is so good.
Before Ella left, her father gave instructions. If you are tired, rest, eat well, and don't let yourself get sick. If you're hurt, come back here." Mr. Stephen knew that her husband's family would not be pleased with Ella because she came from a poor family.
"If anything happens, give me a call and I'll talk to you. Don't be silent." Mr. Stephen added.
Ella burst into tears and left. Her father loves and cares for her all the time.
David and Ella return to X City after the Lunar New Year holiday. They still come to the company and work as usual.
In her spare time, Rika invites Ella to go shopping. She shows Ella the rose tattoo on her arm.
"I drew it on my hand before the holidays, don't you think it's pretty?" Rika asked Ella.
"So beautiful," Ella said in an absent-minded voice.
Suddenly, Ella remembered the dragon tattoo on Jack's wrist. Her eyebrows furrowed. She tried to recall what happened that day when she was on a business trip with David. And then something popped into her head.
Ella's heart beat faster. Right. She knows that. She had seen that tattoo on the perpetrator's wrist. It looks like a tattoo on Jack's wrist.
Ella thought for a moment. 'Are they the same person? Or are they related? No, their gazes are quite similar. This information can help police identify the perpetrator. Should I call Officer Vic now? Or should I call David first?'
Ella hesitated for a moment and decided to call Officer Vic.
Vic is the cop working on a murder plot case that Ella was involved in a few months ago.
However, Vic did not pick up the phone.
"I have to go. See you later." Ella told Rika and hurriedly left the shopping mall.
Ella returned to the office, she went straight to David's office. He looked up and asked. "Didn't you go shopping with Rika? Why did you leave early?"
"I have something important to tell you."
Seeing Ella's serious expression, David stopped what he was doing, he looked up, waiting for her to speak.
"I have a clue about the shooting incident a few months ago. This information can help the police to find the culprit."
"What is that?" David asked in a nervous voice.
"I saw the tattoo on Jack's wrist..."
David motioned for Ella to stop. "Jack? The same pervert who tried to harass you in the bathroom a few days ago?"
"Right. The tattoo on his wrist is very similar to the tattoo of the man who wanted to kill me when we were on a business trip."
David was stunned. Enemies are close by his side but he still doesn't know. David blamed himself for being so negligent.
"Tomorrow I'm going with you to Officer Vic's office, we'll talk to him about it," David said.
"Yes." Ella nodded.
The next morning at the police station.
David and Ella walked into Officer Vic's office together.
"Good morning, Officer Vic." David greeted Officer Vic. Ella is behind him. She nodded to Officer Vic.
Vic quickly got up from her seat when she saw them. "Good morning, Mr. David and Miss. Ella. Please sit." He pointed to the chairs in front of the desk.
"Thank." David nodded and sat down in a chair. Ella sat in the chair next to him.
"Did you two come to see me?" Officer Vic asked.
"I remembered an important clue. It was a black dragon tattoo on the perpetrator's wrist. It resembles the tattoo on Jack's wrist." Ella began to speak.
"Black dragon tattoo? Are you sure? Why didn't you tell me until now?" Officer Vic frowned.
"I'm sorry, I just remembered that now. I almost got killed and harassed, so I didn't know what to think at the time. After this incident, I was very stressed, I even had a mental breakdown." Ella explained.
"How sure are you about what you saw?" Officer Vic continued to ask.
"I'm 100% sure," Ella confirmed.
Officer Vic thought for a few seconds. He stood up from his chair, opened the cabinet, took out a piece of paper, and spoke to Ella. "You can redraw that tattoo, okay?"
