David smiled, put the documents on the table, and waved at Ella. "You come and sit with me."
Ella took a towel and approached the bed. "I will help you wash your face and wipe your hands."
David said weakly. "I gave you a lot of trouble, do you mind?"
"If you don't want me to get in trouble for you, then you have to get well soon." On the surface, Ella spoke with a bit of anger, but the movement of her hand was extremely gentle if she used a little force to wipe his hand, it would touch his wound.
David smiled, watching her movements, the smile on his lips still not fading, his eyes looking at her filled with love.
The silence was broken when Rika pushed open the door, followed by Mr. Harry, Mrs. Emma, and Key. They visit David, after being called by Ella with the news.
"We came to visit you." Rika stood next to Ella and said. "Brother, do you know how hard it was for Ella to take care of you? Every day she comes to the hospital takes care of you, and cries all her tears. You are so lucky to have a wife like Ella. Never betray her, or I'll hit you." Rika threatens.
David sat on the bed, reaching out and grabbing Ella's hand. "I know. I will love her for the rest of my life."
"Emma, now you know who is the good guy and who is the bad guy?" Mr. Harry looked at his daughter-in-law and asked.
Mrs. Emma said with an apologetic voice. "I'm sorry, Father. I was so stupid, I almost led the wolf into the house."
"Mom, I'm glad you accepted Ella," David told Mrs. Emma.
"Thank you for taking care of my son." Mrs. Emma put her hand on Ella's shoulder, saying in a grateful tone.
"General manager..." Key timidly said. "Raymon took your place, he manipulated the entire staff in the company."
'I know. Ella told me about this problem. For the time being, just let him be happy for a while. After my health recovers, I will return to the company and deal with it."
Rika glanced at Key. "I told you not to talk business with my brother. He needs to rest."
"I know, but I'm worried the company will be taken over by Raymon." Key scratched his head.
"Rika, don't blame Key. He is a responsible and loyal person. I believe David will work it all out." Mr. Harry looked at David and said.
"Yes. Grandpa." David replied.
A few weeks later.
David just finished his breakfast. He doesn't want to eat much because he has no appetite.
Key asked. "General manager, isn't the food delicious?"
"No, the taste is fine."
"But why are you eating so little?" Key asked again.
"I do not want to eat," David replied and asked. "Where is Ella now? Why hasn't she come yet?"
"She's taking care of Mrs. Emma's flower garden, she'll come later."
Key said and asked David's housekeeper to clean up the dishes.
The maid nodded, she cleaned the room picked up the leftovers then left.
Key and David are talking about work when Ella arrives. She held a small bag in her hand.
David's eyes lit up. He laughs. "You've come."
Ella smiled and nodded. "Sorry, I'm late. Have you had breakfast?" She asked while placing the small bag on the table.
"I gave the general manager..." Key fell silent when he saw David's sharp gaze as if telling him to shut up. Key quickly closed his mouth, not daring to speak anymore.
"I haven't had breakfast yet." David secretly glared at his assistant and spoke to Ella.
"..." The assistant was speechless.
"I brought you seaweed soup." Ella took the cup from the bag and poured the soup into the cup.
"Sweet-smelling." David sniffed.
Ella hands him the spoon but David doesn't take it, he just stares at the spoon in her hand.
"You should eat it while it's still hot," Ella said.
"Uiiii." David pretended to groan and put his hand on his wound.
"What is the matter with you?" Ella asked panicking.
"I can't move my arm because the wound hasn't healed yet." David acted like he was in great pain.
Ella raised her eyebrows. "But the doctor says the wound on your arm is fine."
"I think it's still not okay." David was still holding his arm, grimacing.
"..."
Key was surprised. His boss became childish in front of Ella. He couldn't imagine how the company's business partners would react if they saw David act like this. They were used to seeing a man as arrogant and serious.
Sometimes Key has the urge to grab his phone and take a picture of his boss acting like a child in front of the woman he likes. But of course, Key never dared. Although David sees him as a little brother. David doesn't want anyone to tease him. Furthermore, Key cannot lose his job. So he just stood to one side and watched his childish general manager.
Ella noticed that David was just acting. He sat on the bed and acted very sweetly. So she will play with him a little bit.
"You really can't move your arm?" Ella asked in a soft voice. Of course, she was just pretending.
David showed a pitiful expression and nodded like a child.
"OK." Ella took the spoon from David's hand.
David's eyes lit up. He thinks his wife will feed him. But he was disappointed when Ella got up from her seat and walked over to Key.
She handed the spoon to David's assistant. Key was stunned.
"If you can't move, then I'll let Key feed you," Ella revealed a sweet smile. She looked at David and asked. "Is that Okay?"
David quickly changed his mind. "I think the pain has subsided now." He replied while moving his right arm. "Now I can feed myself." He added. Just thinking about Key feeding him, David felt nauseous.
Ella pursed her lips. She took the spoon from Key and gave it to David. David took the spoon and began to eat. His face was not happy. He thought he would be fed by Ella. He ate while sighing.
Ella understood what he was thinking in his mind. She gently sat on the edge of the bed. She took a spoon from the seaweed soup that David was eating.
"I'll feed you," Ella suggested.
Immediately, David was happy again. He let her feed him.
In just a few minutes, he ate a bowl of soup that Ella brought.
Key was speechless. He thought his boss didn't have an appetite but now, David eats a bowl of soup Ella brought. This is the power of love.
