Ella looked around, waiting for the person who had just texted her.
A pair of legs appeared, and the owner of those legs approached Ella, from behind.
The white cloth impregnated with anesthetic was used to cover Ella's mouth and nose, she tried to struggle with force, but, after a few short seconds, she was fast asleep...
At the wedding ceremony.
The guests have also arrived, and there are a few minutes left until the wedding ceremony takes place. David stopped receiving guests, fixed his tie, and spoke to his assistant. "Key, please tell Ella so she can prepare."
"Yes, general manager." Key had just gone to inform Ella when Rika ran up to David, worried, and said, "The bride is nowhere to be seen, she's gone."
"What?" David's heart pounded. He ordered. "Go find her."
David's staff and assistants went together to find Ella but to no avail.
"Bedroom?"
"No."
"Dressing room?"
"No."
David walked towards the makeup room, he asked a stylist. "Where's Ella? She's wearing makeup, isn't she?"
"Just now, she got a phone call and she rushed out. She told us to wait for her in the room, she would come back later. But, for now, she is. hasn't come back yet."
David's face was cold, he asked loudly. "Isn't anyone with her?"
Hearing David's shout, the two assistants quickly responded. "President, we were also at the wedding hall at the time."
"Damned." His expression darkened, angrily gave orders to the staff and assistants. "You guys go find Ella for me."
"Yes!" The staff nodded.
Now that the time has passed for the wedding ceremony, the guests are talking among themselves.
"What happened? Why hasn't the wedding started yet?"
"The wedding will start at four o'clock in the afternoon but it's already five. Neither the bride nor the groom is seen."
"What happened? It's time to perform the wedding ceremony, why are the bride and groom still not seen?" Mr. Harry, wearing an ugly expression, asked Mrs. Emma.
"Let me go check." Mrs. Emma walked over to David, who was so impatient that he couldn't sit still on the sofa. "David, what's going on? Where's Ella?"
"She has disappeared," Rika said.
Mrs. Emma was shocked, her eyes widening, revealing a surprise. "What? Why? Have you searched carefully?"
"We've looked everywhere, but we still can't find her," Rika said.
"Key, you take care of the guests, use some excuse to buy time or delay the wedding, and we will think of a way to find Ella." Mrs. Emma instructs Key.
Key nodded and walked out into the garden, where guests were waiting. "Guys, don't be in a hurry. I'm Key, Mr. David's assistant." Key stood on stage, speaking to the guests through the microphone.
Everyone looked at him at once.
"For some reason, the wedding ceremony will be temporarily postponed for a few minutes. I ask for your understanding."
"Why delay? What happened?" Someone commented.
"Is there a conflict between the bride and the groom?"
Key reassures everyone. "Please stay calm, don't speculate when there is no basis. In the meantime, please enjoy the dishes we have served."
The guests discussed and speculated loudly, but no one guessed that the bride was kidnapped.
They are not smart and are not insiders to come up with this problem. But Rika was different, she speculated. "Most likely Ella has been kidnapped."
"Kidnapping? But who is that person? What purpose did they kidnap Ella for?" David was quite bewildered.
"Raymon?" Key called out a person's name. "He wants revenge because Mr. David has humiliated him."
"I don't think Raymon will do this. He only cares about work and career and wants to win over my brother. The person who hates Ella, the one who wants to kidnap her can only be... Maria Because Maria doesn't have the affection of her brother David, so she kidnaps Ella during the wedding ceremony to make him suffer." Rika speculated very well and everyone thought that her opinion was completely appropriate in this situation.
David went to the door when Mrs. Emma stopped. "Where are you going? Do you know where Maria is?"
"But I can't sit here and let her kidnap my wife." David almost went crazy when his wife went missing.
"Calm down. Call Maria, gently advise her. Don't get angry. The angrier you get, the more dangerous Ella's life will be." Mrs. Emma guides her son.
David took a deep breath, regained his composure and he took out his phone to call Maria when suddenly his phone rang. He gets a call from Maria. He answered the call and turned on the loudspeaker for all to hear.
David tried to keep his voice calm. "Maria, did you kidnap Ella?"
"Yes, I kidnapped Ella. How's that? Now, you're worried about her and you're mad at me, aren't you?" Maria replied calmly, without fear.
"I beg you, let Ella go. Whatever you want, I agree." David spoke slowly.
Maria smirked. "If I want you to marry me, what do you think?"
Rika was agitated and shouted. "It's a trap. Don't agree."
Maria heard Rika's words the whispers of the others, she smiled wickedly. "Even if you agree, I don't want it. I got you but didn't have your love. It's pointless. What I want is to see you suffer when you lose the person you love the most. Why should I suffer when you two are happy?" The words ended, and Maria hung up the call.
"Wait. Hello?" David dropped the phone. Signal lost connection. He ordered Key. "Let's determine Maria's location via the navigation system."
Key immediately carried out his master's orders. Moments later, Key locates Maria. It was an abandoned house in the west, five hundred kilometers from the city.
Mr. Harry said. "David, you should tell Officer Vic. I think Maria has accomplices."
"Is it okay? Ella will be in danger." David is worried.
Mrs. Emma reasoned. "Maria deliberately let us find her whereabouts so easily, which means she wants you to come over so you can see with your own eyes how she has malicious intentions towards Ella. Listen to him. Grandpa, call the police, let them assist you."
David agreed with his mother's idea.
Ella was lying on the floor, she had just woken up and she felt a little dizzy. She tried to open her eyes, but she realized she was blindfolded.
Ella panicked. She tried to move her arm but it was tied.
