Although they lived together, only kissed, and never had sex. Last time, he almost raped her. So he doesn't want to scare her, doesn't want to hurt her, he wants her to volunteer.
David waited in the living room for a while, not hearing the sound of running water coming from the bathroom. He felt nervous, so he went upstairs. As he opened the bedroom door, he sighed when he saw Ella sleeping on the floor. He walked over to her picked her up and laid her down on the bed. He thought that tonight would be a passionate night for them, but... he was at a loss for words.
Ella drinks alcohol to gain courage but in the end, she gets drunk.
The next morning, David got up early. Standing still, he looked at the woman in his lap, filled with happiness.
Unable to control himself, he lowered his head and gently kissed her lips. His kiss gently made her wake up, and open her eyes.
David hugged her, smirking. "Yesterday you let me down. So we 'do' now, okay?"
"It is not yet. I want us to be legally husband and wife before we do that."
"We are still husband and wife."
"I want to receive congratulations from your mother, or else I will feel guilty."
David smiled, stroking her cheek. "I believe that time will make my mother change her mind about you. I have never been so happy in my life. And you, are you happy?"
Ella pursed her lips, nodded, and smiled happily. Anyway, this is Valentine's Day that she will always remember.
Meanwhile, at a small hotel near the ski resort of S city, a woman was standing by the window, a glass of wine in her hand. She shook the glass lightly, causing the wine in the glass to wobble. She had a cold expression on her face.
Suddenly, the phone vibrated and rang on the table.
Maria walked over to the table and sat down on the chair while showing an evil smile, she answered the call. "Hello?"
"You have received the photo I sent, miss. Maria?"
"Yes, I got it," Maria answered in a low voice.
"What do you think? Are you satisfied?" The man on the other end of the line asked sarcastically.
"Yes, I am very pleased." Staring at the pictures, Maria gritted her teeth in boiling anger.
"Then, money..."
"I'll pass it on to you right now," Maria said coldly. "Please continue to follow them and give me all the details."
"OK." The man said. "I won't let you down."
"Thank," Maria said and hung up the call. She turned her attention to the computer screen. She moves the mouse with her right hand, the light from the screen hitting her face makes it more evil. The photos provoked her anger to the bone.
In those photos, David and Ella hold hands while walking in the snow, skiing together, and even kissing while the snowflakes are falling.
'David. You're having fun, aren't you? I will break your joy.' Maria looked at those pictures, talking to herself.
Then she got up from her chair and went to the window again. She stared at a fixed point. Suddenly, an idea flashed in her mind.
'I can take advantage of this.' Maria thought to herself. She picked up the phone and called someone - David.
Meanwhile, David and Ella sit in the car to return to X city from the ski resort. Ella leaned against the window and watched the scenery pass her eyes. And David focused on driving.
A silence filled the atmosphere in the car, his phone suddenly rang in his pocket.
He plugged in his headphones and started answering calls. "Hello?"
"It's me." A hoarse voice came from the other end of the line.
Glancing at Ella, David answered nervously. "Maria? What happened? Why are you calling me?"
Ella heard David talk about Maria, she turned to look at him, her heart extremely tense.
"David..."
"Yes. What's up? Are you drunk?" Hearing Maria's voice, David frowned and asked.
"Just a little," Maria said. "When are you coming back?" Maria knows that on Valentine's Day, David and Ella go skiing because he's taking a leave of absence from the company.
"I'm on my way back to city X," David replied.
"I'll be waiting for you at the Terra Blues bar, I have something to tell you, very important." Saying that Maria hung up the phone.
"Wait. Hey, Maria..." David hung up the phone, frowning. 'What did Maria want to say to me anyway? Is it because she likes me? I've told her many times already.'
Ella said. "What happened to Maria?"
"I do not know. Her voice is very strange." David was confused.
"Go and see Maria. Maybe she has something important to do. Don't forget Jack broke out of prison and he can harm women, Maria is no exception."
"You agree to let me go?"
"Anyway, Maria and you are friends."
David held her hand, smiling. Ella sympathized with him, which made him very happy. But, no one knew, Ella's heart was filled with mixed emotions.
After hanging up the phone, Maria went to Terra Blues bar with a sly smile.
It took David two hours to get back to X city. He stopped the car in front of his house, talking to Ella. "You stay at home and wait for me, I'll be back soon."
Ella got out of the car after he kissed her on the lips. The car started up again and drove off. Just as she was about to open the door, her phone signaled a new message, from Maria. 'Ella, you go to Terra Blues bar, I want to show you this.'
Ella was curious, though. 'Why doesn't she text soon, David and I will go to Terra Blues bar together.' With no other choice, she went to the Terra Blues bar by taxi. A bad feeling welled up inside Ella.
David reached the bar before Ella arrived. The bar was empty, and it wasn't difficult for him to find Maria sitting at the bartender, a glass of wine in front of her.
David stepped closer behind her. "You called me here, what happened?"
Maria turned around, got up from her chair, and stood facing him. "Don't rush, I just want to chat with you."
"You are wasting my time." David was about to leave when her hand held her.
"We can't talk to each other? Why do you alienate me when you see me? I'm so lonely, I just want to talk to you, is that wrong?" Maria whimpered.
"Okay, what do you want to say? What happened to you?" David sighed and sat down in a chair.
"Can you have some wine with me?" Maria suggested.
"No, I still have to drive."
Maria took a deep breath and spoke. "I know that you don't love me... these days, I always think about our childhood memories..." She tried to buy time by talking a lot and saying meaningless words.
