Chapter 89: Ski resort 2

Ch. 89 / 164 Sep 17, 2024

Outside on the balcony, Ella was wearing very thick clothes, looking at the snowy mountain landscape.

David got out of bed, put on a coat, and went out onto the balcony. He hugged Ella from behind, placing a kiss on her cheek. She turned to face David, clutching his neck, sulking. "You're up late."

David whispered in her ear. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

Ella looked at him, shaking her hair. "Watching you sleep so well, I can't bear to wake you up."

David curled his lips, gently kissing Ella's eyes. "I go wash my face, then we go to the ski field."

"Yes." Ella smiled sweetly.

This smile was engraved in his heart, all his life he wanted to see her smile like that.

Not wearing a striped outfit like Ella, David only wears a white shirt, black jacket, black jeans, and waterproof sneakers.

David took Ella's hand and walked out of the hotel. She pulled his hand, looked at him, and asked. "You are not cold?"

"No."

"It's very cold."

"You wear thick clothes like a penguin and still feel cold?"

Ella gets angry when David calls her a penguin. She raised her hand and punched him in the chest. David took her hand, bent his head, and gave her a soft kiss on the back of her hand.

At the ski field.

The manager of the ski resort greets them as soon as they arrive. Looks like he's been waiting a while. "Welcome to our ski resort."

"Thank you, Manager Alex. We'll have to bother you for a while." David is happy.

There are ski equipment rentals here, but today there are a lot of tourists. So the ski gear is out. David goes to his car to get his ski gear. He thought as he walked. 'Luckily I brought it. Surely Ella is looking forward to skiing with me.'

When David returned to the ski area with ski gear in hand, his smile quickly faded when he saw Ella with a man.

"Okay, try and keep your balance." The young coach put his hand on Ella's waist. "First, you should try walking on the snow. Feel it before you slide down."

"Yes." Ella nodded. She was so focused that she didn't notice David staring at her in the distance. His eyes darkened.

"Okay, you're great." The young coach continued to encourage her while he held her hand. "Don't be afraid. Now let's try to slide."

When Ella tried to turn a little, she fell face down in the snow.

"Are you okay? Don't worry, I'll help you." The young coach held her waist to keep her from falling.

Ella was already balancing on the skateboard.

"Ella." David strode towards Ella. His expression was not happy as he looked at her and the coach.

"David." When Ella saw him, she didn't notice how angry he was. She happily waved his hand. "Come here. This is the coach that manager Alex called. He's very good..."

"No, don't say that, I'm not good." The young coach humbly said.

David stared at the coach. He looked at the trainer's arm around Ella's waist, his expression turning cold and his eyes brimming with rage.

'Why is this man emitting a blast of cold air colder than a ski resort?' Young coach thought. When he saw David staring intently at his hands, he immediately understood and quickly let go of Ella.

He let go of her suddenly causing her to lose her balance and about to fall into the snow.

David quickly reached out grabbed Ella and hugged her.

The coach realized that David was jealous.

Ella breathed a sigh of relief, she brushed the snow from her hair and body.

David turned to the coach. "This is my wife, keep your distance from my wife."

The young coach nodded.

"Okay, I'll teach her how to ski," David said and grabbed Ella's shoulders, helping her balance. A little later, Ella learned how to ski, but he wouldn't let her ski too fast.

Inwardly David was worried about the surprise dinner he had prepared. It was almost seven o'clock in the evening, but Ella still wanted to keep skiing.

"How long will you be skiing?" David fidgeted and asked her.

"Fifteen more minutes." Ella wanted to ski for another hour, but seeing David's nervous, worried expression, she cut the time down to fifteen minutes.

David patiently waited for life. Fifteen minutes are up, he said. "Okay. Let's go home. I'm hungry."

Ella reluctantly returns his ski gear to him. She only comes here once in a while. So she felt regret when she stopped the game.

David saw Ella's sad expression, he stroked her cheek and softly said. "Don't worry. If you want to come here, just tell me, and I'll drive you here, whenever you want."

"Really?" Ella's eyes lit up.

David nodded firmly. It's not that he doesn't want to play with her, it's that he wants to surprise her.

The sky gradually darkened, on the way back, the lights shone on the snow-white ground, orange light, making the cold snowy land a little warmer.

Back to the hotel. David wanted to ask about food preparation, but he found an excuse. "You go to your room to rest for a while, I need to make a phone call."

Ella looked at him, asking. "Is it about work?"

David nodded. "Yes."

Ella nodded. "Okay then, I'll wait for you in your room." Ella walked toward their room.

David immediately went to the kitchen. It was already lunchtime, but the dining room was empty, no one was there. The manager saw David, hastily welcomed him, smiled, and said. "Mr. David, I have everything prepared, according to your arrangement."

David asked. "Where's the cake? Is it ready already?"

Manager nodded. "Yes, everything is done."

David nodded, went into the restaurant, and looked around. Still in the same position near the window at noon, on the table lay a large bouquet of roses, red wine, and candles. He felt very satisfied, gave a few words to the manager, and then returned to their room. After that, they went to the restaurant in the hotel together.

Near the restaurant, David suddenly stopped. To be honest, he was a bit rushed.

Ella blinked a few times, looking at him questioningly. "What's up?"

David put a finger to Ella's lips and coughed softly. "Um... there's a problem." After he finished speaking, he walked around behind Ella. His hand suddenly went to her eyes.

Ella was surprised, she blinked a few times. She didn't understand what he was up to.

David lowered his head, then leaned into Ella's ear. "I'm preparing something, don't look."
